Couldn't find a Gale Storm photo in purple... this is as close as I could get. That's what happens when you are old... just black and white.
DorK - I remind DH all the time to be careful with WD. Our corgi has a back injury and now at 13, she is having a hard time with her backend. She can't seem to get up on her back legs today. DH shook WD the other night because he woke him at 2AM ... I yelled at him but them fell asleep again. When I tried to talk to DH about it in the morning he didn't remember it so maybe it was just a dream.

*sneaking into the partay*.....didn't mean to arrive so late, DorK. Or is it still fashionable to be late? Got home late, had dinner late (was yummy!), and now trying to ketchup on my shows. Guess the real partay will start a bit later? I mean, I don't mind joining when you all are a bit dwunk.....I am sure I can ketchup qwickly!

My DH "manned up" a bit today and did some outdoor stuff for me....one thing was to dig a big hole for a 4x4 that I am putting a bird feeder on. I sorta went ballistic last night, telling him how he needs to pull his weight too.... that I DO NOT enjoy doing most of the work! I suggested that he should go to Tunica this week to keep our rating up with the casino (of course he LOVED that idea!)....so now want him to do a few things b4 he goes! We can't both go, as I wouldn't want to leave my parents here alone. But I will enjoy my time alone:) .
Oh my.....didn't know they made jock straps in poyple.....but Pants is sure showing off his "stuff"! Looks like Jock and Hunk are looking pwetty good too.....and all those purple dwinks they made up! I think I told some of youse galz about the "Purple Jesus" dwinks we made in the punch bowl when I was soooooo young....used grain alcohol...think it was 150 proof or something. Tasted like a good grape punch......but then it had a wallop!!!! Everyone had a fun time at home after they left our parties!

I'm back! Had a great time at the zoo, costumes were awesome! Once again, you will have to check out the pics on FB, as I am on iPad. I need to get it together!! Helped DD wash gray paint out of her hair, dosed her up with meds, put her to bed, now chilaxin! Actually just finished that movie "five" that Kathy was talking about. Great movie, but lots of tears here! I need a partay now! Super anxious over blood work in morning...... Gonna have to maybe double up on the Xanax tonight. Speaking of doubles, Pants, I'll have a grey goose dirty martini with extra olives, and make it a double on the double! Cheers!

Am here, if a bit late. Went to church, and then did the Tour de Tilth. Lots of pumpkin patches. One of the guys in our group had a new bicycle trailer, so won the pumpkin carving tool as had 50 lb of pumpkins in tow. Me.....am buying the Long Island Cheese Pumpkins at Met Market which make delish custard, and I can drag back a small one.
Then couldn't find my tax stuff as have to get everything out tomorrow. Don't know what was in my brain, but have found what I need and all is well.
Tells me that a good thing that I didn't move forward with my career until recently.
Loved the chanterelle omelet last week so much that I am doing a reprise for tonight's dinner.
Finally dared look at my ticket I got back in August. Was thrilled that one fourth the way through good driving jail. (Don't go more than 5 mph over the speed limit these days.....just saying.)
Need to finish the rest of my omelet which I am having with fresh local beans and tomato/cucumber salad.
Another celebration....wearing cashmers as opposed to purple. Sorry, but comfort wins. - Claire

The lounge has been busy!!! too many posts to try to read......We had company for dinner and then an engagement party tonight....spent the day with kids shopping and running errands....tomorrow is work day, then company for dinner......its DH b'day....got him a present today, but still need to get him a b'day card.....the kids leave Tuesday morning.....so glad that they've been here, but it has gone by quickly.....Going to make my lunch and off to bed.....

Hey ladies, was tied up with work til late. Then, it was me with the 18 yo nephew and sister turning 50. So DH and I were there, although I was on the phone for 1/2 the party. Seems like y'all had a blast without me. I promise not to miss another partay, the weekend $ucked for my team because it wasn't in our control.
Allison, will be keeping fingers and toes crossed for WBC, hopefully your fun day yesterday helps! Will pull FB tonight, on iPad now. Have to get PT done then head to work early.

Yeah Gail, we sometimes double up the bday and anniversary but that usually is an excuse to do something special. Fortunately, DH has been amazing through this whole thing.

Claire, Our subdivision has 25mph speed limit, and it is SO hard keeping to that, after coming off the higher speed road, or coming down the hills. Lately there have been cops hiding on side streets and aiming their radar right at each car. I think we were going 27 yesterday, thank god, as we were talking and not paying attn, but the cop had it aimed right at us! My mom got a ticket when she first moved in the house we have now....was only going 5 mi over, but had to go to those classes to avoid it being on her record. AND had to keep it from my late stepdad, as he would have worried so much since she was the only one still driving. It was so funny all the excuses she gave him for going out on Sat mornings! LOL.
