OOPS, bumped into ya, Lori! Looks like you held your dwink up high and it didn't even spill. HEY.....how did YOU get a dwink???? Mese needs a dwink too....LOL.  Yeah, was glad I got the speakers yesterday, and got them hooked up! Mentioned to my dad that we could hook up a large monitor to the laptop, but then the laptop would be in the way, in front of it, as he is using a cherry desk, not a computer desk. ALSO....this is funny....he kept mentioning he didn't like having to click on  my mom's name, since when we bought the laptop it was supposed to be hers....I told him I am sure we could change it, but he thought he needed a new one....so funny!

OH, wait...speaking of FUNNY! Most days that I take my mom shopping (well, most days!), she has a list of things a mile long, or I just remember things she has mentioned earlier. SO as an example, yesterday alone, she bought: a treadmill, a wood footstool, fabric at the fabric store, speakers for my dads computer, some food, and since we went to lunch and I had a couple of places to run into, we ran out of time and had a few more things she and my dad had wanted us to get. SO, my brother keeps calling and missing her, and my dad always says she is out shopping with me. He asked what we shop for, my dad says "nothing in particular". Tells my bro to call at happy hour. SO he called back at happy hour last night, talked to my mom, and mentions she is out shopping almost every day, and must be filling up the house. Asked her what she has bought.....you won't believe this.....my mom replies with "OH I don't usually buy anything"!!!! I almost fell off my chair LMAO when my bro told me that!!!!  I know its due to her memory, but it struck me as funny, as it is SO not true. In fact if we are in a store and she hasn't found anything to buy, but I am buying something, she gets jealous and comments on how SHE doesn't have anything! LOL.

Good morning, Loungettes! Yikes, I hated to read that 2 more of us are gone from this world. f^king NOT FAIR. With all the billlions and billions of $$ being raised to find a cure WHY are women still dying of this disease?

Good Morning, God, it's me again. I heard YOU took 2 more of us through the rat ba$tard. What I'd like to know is WHY? Yes, I know YOU probably aren't going to give me any hints about YOUR reasoning until YOU take me as well, but I wanted YOU to know that it makes me feel unhappy and even scared. Knowing YOU have a reason and knowing what the reason is are two different things, and YOU made me one who needs to know the reasons to be content with a situation. Please take good care of the two of them, give them some special rewards for all they've been through with this disease. Please be with their families and friends, grant them some of YOUR peace and understanding, and YOUR strength to get through the hard days ahead. Thanks, LORD.

DorKable--this time change thing is so annoying, isn't it? The Monday after the time change is considered the least productive work day of the year, I read. I can see why!

Mrs. Vino--I'm thinking I need to make an appointment with you, I could use a little pampering these days! Never had a manicure or pedicure, sounds like fun!

Juliet--the sky was really clear last night when I went to bed. I did spend a minute or two looking for the new ones. . .

DorKable--I'm with you on the gwoup hugfest and sailabration of life. Maybe it will help me sleep better.

Wahine--I remember my mother working polls when I was young. Used to fascinate me watching them count ballots and pass them around, everything got counted 3 times to be sure it was correct. Of course that was back in the paper ballot, make your mark with a pencil days. Which is still how I vote in my little burg! Makes for a long night, hope he has some fun, too!

Karen--Spring is springing here, too, but we're celebrating 50's and 60's. We'll see the 70's soon enough, though. Most o f the snow is melting off, need some good breezes or windy days to dry things out. No go do your homework so you can come back and drink!

Undy--I've got my Honey Wild Turkey ready to toast with. Cheers to you too, my dear!

Husker--Hearing about a bc death makes for scared and angry time for me too. Fortunately Sadie just ignores me, or runs to get a toy for me to throw. I throw, she fetches, over and over and over. She gets exercise, I get to burn off some anger, so I guess it's a win-win. I'm sure your hubby understands, and he may be secretly glad you've got the Lounge to come to tonight!

    Juliet--Hear, Hear! {clink-drink}

Karen--good day to you, too. I'm running late, my body is still on standard time. I'll start waking up sooner now that the sun is coming up sooner.

Charles--welcome to the HTL! I am a strong believer in Vino Therapy, too, I even make wine myself. You'll find that there are always wines and drinks of every variety there, tell the tenders or one of the wenches what your fav is and they'll make sure never to run out!

You are all so sweet to have "unofficially" adopted "Pau Hana" as our Happy Hour term. Just wanted to share what my classmates do for Pau Hana every month (they pick different local bars and restaurants)....just got this email (btw  Shabu shabu is a Japanese hot pot. Basically, thinly sliced meat and other ingredients are cooked in a skillet at the table.) This is the invite...

Anyone else want to try shabu shabu at Hanaki on Friday?

Thought the HTL might get a kick out of that!

Hi Dahhhlinks....jes a quick note.  Tests yest went OK...cept the jerk for da MRI grabbed hold of my IV and screw-jammed the contrast thread.  I was holering...'hey, hey, take it easy bud'  Burned like hell whole time...when it was over, told girl 'don't touch that' 'That tech over did it, no reason for it, what's his problem' REALLY LOUD.  She went running out, brought in a REAL nurse, who undid the contrast line from the main portal, slid me out and then removed my IV.  Why they hafta b like that?

Anyway, then taday, dummy me, fasted all night and morning, already had the 'no caffeine' headache starting, Signed in, den grabbed a dumdum sucker.  Idiot me...still had it hanging outta my mouth when they came to take me back.  Had to postpone the test til next week cuz can't have NO sugar for the PET.  So had to kill 4 hours driving around Vegas, stopping n walking my furbabies, parking in da shade, waiting waiting waiting.  Got my Herceptin drip and now wese home.  DH n I had a Jose and a MGD.  Mese jes finished my 2nd one...but soooo tired....going nite nite.

Will catch up in next few days....forgives me for not commenting to eberone....jes knos I lub lub lub ya'll!!!

My girlfriend sent this too me......it put a smile on my face!!!!  Enjoy.....

Four guys were on a bike tour.  No one wanted to room with Mick, because

he snored so badly.  The three other

guys decided it wasn't fair to make one of them stay with him the whole time, so

    they voted to take turns.

The first guy slept with Mick and came

to breakfast the next morning with his hair a mess and his eyes all

    bloodshot.

The others asked, "Man, what happened

to you?"  He responded, "Mick snored

so loudly, I just sat up and watched him all

    night."

The next night it was the second guy's

turn.  In the morning, same thing...

hair all standing up, eyes all bloodshot.

The other guys asked, "Man, what

happened to you?  You look awful!"

     The second guy said,

    "Man, that Mick

shakes the roof with his snoring.  I

    watched him all night."

The third night was Bill's turn.  He was a tanned, older biker, a man's

man.  The next morning he came to

    breakfast bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

"Good morning!" he said. The other guys

    couldn't believe it.  They asked,

    "Man, what happened?"

Bill grinned and stated, "Well, we got

ready for bed.  I went and tucked

Mick into bed, patted him on the ass and kissed him good night on the lips.  Mick sat up and watched me all

    night."

    With age comes

    wisdom.

    Nice one Karen.

A man went to a pet shop and bought a talking parrot. He took the parrot home, and tried to teach the parrot how to say a few things, but instead the parrot just swore at him. After a few hours of trying to teach the bird finally the man said "If you don't stop swearing I'm going to put you in the freezer as punishment." The parrot continued, so finally the man put the bird in the freezer. About an hour later the parrot asked the man to please open the door. As the man took the shivering bird out of the freezer it said "I promise to never swear again. Just tell me what that turkey did!"
