OK, just lost the post I've been working on for the last hour.  I've still got the text, so I'm reposting that part.  Grrr....

Good morning, Loungettes! A chilly 41 degrees this ayem, sitting here with my coffee and a blanket. But the sun is shining and it will warm up quick enough, I'm sure.

Juliet--I so glad the wire insertion was painless for you. Good of you to let the student do the intubation, hope the sore throat goes away quickliest!

Bernie--oh, my, sometimes the people in our lives just do NOT get it. Here's praying she never finds out just how much that statement was just plain stupid.

Mema--staying caught up here can be a full time job! Sometimes better to just jump in a page or 2 back and call it good. I'm looking forward to a nice nursery shopping trip soon!

Wahine--I was surprised to hear about Dick Clark's death, too. Even though I had heard he had a stroke some years back, I remember he was back on TV after. I really thought he was going to live forever!
To help people at all times
And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
I've got pics around somewhere of me in my brownie and GS uniforms. Got the uniforms somewhere, too, I think.

    Juliet--LOL! "I'm melting! I'm melting!"

DorKable--I hope the impression I left was a good one, I'm the only representative of the Hospice team that family met. They are a great family, too. The tiller didn't start yesterday, but it's sitting outside where the sun is on it to get it warmed up for another go later today. I am determined to get that thing started again! I did it once, I can do it again.

Mema--I left an order with the Tenders to make sure you get a nice eye=opener dwinkie just as soon as you opens youse eyeballs!

Astorm--Gotta love how fast things move in da Lounge, doncha?

Kittycat!! I'd love to see a pic of the Pink Ribbon Mafia team! Bet you'll scare all the competition into hiding!

Karen--glad to know you're still checking in. Hope you feel better soon!

    Bernie--LOL!

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the Eye Opener
    1 oz Amaretto
    1 oz Butterscotch Schnapps
    1 oz Coffee Liqueur
    1 oz Everclear
    1 oz Irish Cream

    Directions
Mix all five together then chill.

Kathy, can you see a doctors about the dizziness? That has to be so annoying. I hope it isn't making you sick too. JD school, too funny. But wese don't need school foy drinkin, we could be da teachers! OMG, are you and NM really playing and earning drinking badges? Well the GS dinner is over by now, but just know you had a good time. Would have been neat, had your mom decided to go. 3 generations of GS's.

Haha, look what the cat drug in? Our dorgeous KittyCat! I didn't recognize you, with a different avatar. Nice to have you stop by. That would be so great if your team could walk with Mema's.

NM, how very sweet that one of the families mentioned you in the obit, just goes to show ya how very special you really are. We are all pulling for you, to get the new schedule. I just love how you take the bull by the horns!

Juliet, glad that everything went well and you are home and even up to a trip to the Caymen's. And of course, you can have that Jack today. Loved the dog and the man with those cones on his hands. I know a few men who are always "adjusting" themselves, like really?

Oh dear Bernie, like Kathy said, some people just don't get it. How old is she now and what was your reply? Gosh, I have NO CLUE what I would say to a person if they were to say something like to me. Maybe you should have said "That you might you get it, or I might get it back".  I have a hug for you too (((((Bernie Babe)))) Pull up a bar stool and have that bottle of wine. But don't fall off now, ya hear?

Mema, me bad? Now I have to go back and read what I wrote, when done with this post. Goes to show ya how good MY memory is! I'm innocent I tell ya, I'm innocent! Are you getting your internet service bixed or changed?

Haha at DorK, habin her own Jack n Zac! We sure miss you when you work so much.

Chrissy, me tinks (not tinkle) you gits to go home tomarry? Well, I think you said Frieday. And tamorry is Frieday here. I am not one that is up on the time change between us, so maybe you iz home already?

Gail, things have changed around here. This thread, at times, has gone 3 pages in 24 hours! But hi, backatcha!

DoTd - BULL BY THE HORNS

MIX THE VODKA, RUM, AMARETTO & SOUTHERN COMFORT IN A MIXING TIN. PLACE THE MIX INTO A COLLINGS GLASS AND ADD HALF THE CAN OF REDBULL. TAKE THE SCOOP OF CRUSHED ICE AND CAP THE COCKTAIL. DRIZZEL THE LIME JUICE OVER THE ICE & TOP WITH THE LIME SLICE.

*S P L A S H*   Mese and NM bumped! And into de pewl we go!

Haha, we both have DOTD with some Amaretto in it! When we gits out of the pewl, we shall grab a bar stool and have dwinks togedder. One of each. And anyone else that wants to join us as well.

We have had trouble with out tiller at times. DH gets this stuff called "Start". It is a liquid and you put it in the gas tank, and it always works. Something about the gas sitting in the tank for so long, and this fixes it right up. Just a thought, and I hope you see this soon enough!

Bummer you lost your pictures for your post, that is always what makes them so speshul, jes like you.

Oh I like that "Eye Opener" NM.....cud uze a few right now! You really have your GS and Brownie uniforms? Awesome! My DD is borrowing my binder of pics to make copies. It was so touching last night...she introduced me and stood up to thank me for all the years I was her leader, and gave me some special patches and pin, along with a sweet note. Let me tell ya, it was hard to hold back the happy tears! Wish my mom had felt like going. Their Service Unit leader told me her aunt in Michigan still leads a troop, and, get this......she is NINETY-EIGHT!!! Would love to see your pictures! OK, sure hoping dat mean 'ole tiller will START for you TOO-DEY!!! IF it seems impossible, I am sure you can tempt a helper to come and try to start it, with your lasagne or some other food temptation. But I do know how it feels to be "defeated" by equipment, so I know you would much rather do it yourself. We are all rooting for you!!!

Youse knows dat I haben't had time to read ANY Of the posts I missed while gone for 12 days, right? Kept meaning to though.

Taking my mom to get her hair done today....will get some "alone time" as I prefer waiting in the car. Got their cruise and air tix yesterday (dang it took DH hrs to do that, so many phone calls, etc), and DH got them a really good price. Now to try to get them a condo for when we go to FL in Sept for a wk. ITs weird, but a few yrs back they decided to always get insurance on all our trips, so I did that for them. NOW, they don't, since we don't, but I always wonder when (if) something happens before or during a big trip.

OH MY GOD...gotta share this wid youse. Late yesteday afternoon, my DH was fishing with my Dad at their house. My dad had been saving some fish right in the lake, in a fish bucket (like wire with Large Spaces)....so he pulled them up to see if they were ok....guess what was in there...a HUGE SNAKE! THank God it was dead though, as my DH said it was a long, huge one. Now realize, this is right at the edge of their property. THe grass goes right up to the lake, and the water is about 10" lower (wood retaining wall), then there are large rocks right under the water there (I guess to shore it up). Prolly not too deep there (4' ?), but I keep telling them there are LOTS of dangerous snakes in the lake, so now maybe my parents will be more careful. My mom is always surprised there aren't kids in boats, etc on the lake, and I try to remind her that I wouldn't have let MY kids play on that lake, with all those snakes. We are even cautious when we use the kayaks....sure don't wanna tip over. The cottonmouths are said to be very aggressive, and would come AFTER something (like US). THen he said my Dad tripped and nearly fell into the lake....yikes!!!! Wish we could get rid of the snakes.

OH Alli, I noticed our newest "Mr. Bigger" (aka Chris) is in the new Avenger movie. Guess we all get front-row seats to the premier, wouldn't ya think?  HOPE he realizes that now WE are his first concern, his movie career comes in second! LOL.

Pants, Jock, fill up all dose pitchers wid some "Eye Opener" dwinks, ok? We all cud use a LOT of dose!!! (Well mine have to be virtual, still dizzy).

Cheers Dears! No Fears! Lets have some Beers! (well, it rhymed!),

OOPS....mese bumped da "Innocent One" into da pool. Mese took so long wid mese post, mese missed yours. OH wait, our Mr. Bigger just jumped in, to carry you out...whut a gentleman he is. OH, and da BEST PART, is dat now dat he gots his swim trunks all wet, wese kin weally see dat he IS "bigger"....woo hoooooooo!

Yeah, Lori, It would have been awesome if my mom had been there. Not just 3 generations of GS's, but 3 generations of GS LEADERS!. And my g'dau was there too, she is a Daisy, but bridging up to Brownie. My g'son was there too in his Cub Scout uniform, with soooo many patches (my DD (his mom) is the leader for him also). Hard to believe Juliet Low started this in 1912!!!!

    Hugsssssss!

It is very difficult for me to post because I haven't learned how to slur while writing, but I will work on it. Thank you all for being so silly.....Oh yeah, red wine is my drink of choice.

LOL Bernie....at being a cub scout....but on the plus side, you got to be wid all dose boys! LOL,..at that age we all prolly thought they had "cooties" or some disease. Love the pile of your fur babies...they look so comfy.

Kay, you don't need to speak "drunkease" or "Beanglish", just pop in and post however you want to! Beans started it all with her beanglish, and we LOVE talking (writing) silly!

OK, now Juliet and I need lotsa galz dwinking for us! Any volunteers? Now, don't all run us over at once! I have a killer headache today (rarely get them), eyes real sore, and still dizzy, so called the nurse, then took my mom to her hair appt, and went to a Japanese restaurant for lunch. Then DH calls and dr wants to see me, and they were able to fit me in this afternoon. Just got home....they gave me a "sinus cocktail"...steroids (injection), then I will start antibiotics, etc. Cannot believe that 2 ex-strength tylenol cannot shake my head pain! So, thats why the dramamine wouldn't work! HE thinks its either an inner ear infection or sinus infection. Gotta get bixed up b4 my next flt in 2 wks!

    Gentle, Quiet, Hugssssss to all,

    Kath

Kay...welcome....I was born in Peterborough!!!! spent the first two months of my life there in the hospital...and about 35 years ago drove through the town with my DH (then boyfriend) and actually found the hospital I was born in and the card with my name etc....I was a surprise and arrived 2 months early...parents were visiting there...we were living in Montreal....my DD and SIL are in Toronto...SIL is a Torontonian!!!!

Kathy....I take ibuprofen for sinus...it helps with the inflamation...but sometimes if I have a major headache it takes 2 doses of 4 tabs.....

I'm sooo tired today....3rd night in a row I have something....its the Denver Komen affiliate 20 year anniversary celebration and volunteer appreciation....need to get ready and leave in a 1/2 hour....

Too cool. I wasn't born here, Calgary is my town of birth. I was a midwife and had hospital privileges at the old Civic. It's been torn down and replaced by a lovely new facility. That's where I get to go for my every three week Herceptin. It is a very small world.

Drank a Tankhouse Ale instead of a glass of wine while looking out at my garden, looking over the river. I was just looking to see if my removal of winters detris made any difference...I saw a muskrat. I live in downtown (small city-76000), I didn't expect to see a muskrat.

One of our loungettes, Chrissy B who is from Austrailia, visited the US back in September and I had the honor of hosting her for her first week. Long story short (if possible for mese), I had been in contact with a bwest fwend who lives the next town over from me, her name is Marie. Both Marie and Chrissy are stage IV goils and had planned to meet up once Chrissy got to NJ ( a teeny tiny state in the USA). Turned out that Marie and Chrissy were already friends from another thread and I had talked to them both on BCO but had no idea they knew each other. Hope I esplained dat right, I am talking about someone else from my area knowing a goil all de way from Austrailia, mate. Anyway, hope you hang out here often, it sure is great fun and we support each other all the while.

Speaking of Chrissy, praying for my goil for quickliest healing and recovery. To save time, I jest sent up a prayer to all my goils here. I hope to be back later. Gonna go and werk now, don't tail that I am with Jack.

    LMAO, Juliet!

There is now a "watch-duck" at my parents. "Aflac" (lg white peking duck) has now taken residence in their yard....along with its sidekick "Tonto" (a mallard). BUT when other ducks either fly in, or waddle up their yard from the lake, "Aflac" runs them off; chases them back into the lake...its hilarious!
