Shel - What the hell???!!! I also want to know your symptoms. What happened?? BIG GENTLE (((((huggss)))). Enjoy Sunny Mexico.

They say that God only gives us what we can handle, but Christ!!! This is just not fair!! The BC, the cheatin ass husband, the diappointing reconstruction, and now mets. Life just really eats shit sometimes. Please know that you are in my thoughts.

All I know is drinking helps. There are times when the whole body hurts and it's not about a pain pill or a muscle relaxor its about a nice merlot or other calming red

Hey Berm - I couldn't agree more!! I have a lot of muscle pain from Arimidex and a nice red wine is the only thing that helps. Oh yeah, throw in the occasional Martini, Cosmo, or Manhattan, and life is real good !

(((((((Shel))))))))))))) WTF, how did this happen, I hate this shit. I'm so sorry, I wish I could do something, it sucks, but treatment is getting better daily, it just sucks that you have to have more. Did you have any symptoms?

Girls thanks for the nice words for me last week when I had my fat day. I've just deciced the weight will come off when it wants to. Our poor bodies have gone through hell and back and I will just go easy on it now.

Well this Saturday was a day from hell and it took a lot of drinks to fix it. I had to take my dog to the vet, since she has and ear infection, well the vet said she needs her rabies shot and some other shot, so I said what the hell, just do them. OK 338 dollars later I go home and start to clean the house, and damn if the dog is not panting like a mental man. So i put her outside and continue to clean, I notice her outside, wipping her bum along the concrete patio and then rolling in the grass, did not think to much of it cuz she does it all the time. Well about 1 hour later i let her in and to my shock she is covered from tail to head in hives, I freaked, called the vet, the vet said, ice her down with cold towels and give her a benedryl, so I do it, nothing, still awful, by now i'm freaking, this dog is my love, I would die if anything happened to her. so I call the vet, back he said bring her in. Get her in the car, call hubby, he says he will meet me at the vet, get there and she had to have 2 shots of something. It was hell, so another 102 dollars, we get home and she seems to be better. Yesterday she was sleeping all day I'm sure from all the drugs in her body, well hubby calls me today when he gets home and the dog is worse, back to the vet. Nooite (the dogs name) is now on steriods and will be fine, but now i'm out 460 bucks. Oh what we do for our animals.

Take care all and have a nice week.

    Vickie,

My time is more valuable than ever before (well, than before BC anyway) and I have no time for nonsense or lack of respect. It's on my terms only. Take me out, wine and dine me and I MAY let you have some fun with me!
    (hey, my 'stuff' is good!)

And Randi, yes the things we do for our pets! Good luck to your pooch!

Not drinking tonight either - I'm going back to work at 8 p.m. after working the early shift plus one hour! I need the overtime pay so I'm not complaining too loudly. The extra money help keep me in my wine habit!

Randi - Sounds like you had the day from hell!! I've been in the same boat. Our pets are like family and you do what you can to make life better for them. We are fur- childless right now and I miss that!

Don't worry about your weight too much. Treatment just packs it on. I keep hoping my excess poundage will take an extended leave of absence, but it just stays on and on. LOL. I'm sure the drinking doesn't help, but I'm not giving that up yet!!

    Cheers, girlfriend!

Shel - want you to know that I'm thinking of you. You've had too much to deal with already, and now mets...

Jan - Rotel is just tomatoes with chopped green chilies added. Good in lots of stuff - I always have a few cans in my pantry. One time I bought the "hot" Rotel with habanero peppers -- NEVER AGAIN!! I like hot, but that was too much for me.

Randi - I feel for you with your dog getting sick. Been there.... no fun. I swear that we paid for lots of our vet's vacations with our first dog, she had parvo when she was a puppy, and we got her through it (we lived on pizza make with bisquick and sliced hot dogs so we could pay the vet bills that year!) but she was always kind of high maintenance health wise after that. Don't grudge a penny, she was a precious little dog, but man, expensive. One of the dogs we have now ALWAYS gets sick from her rabies shot. I dread it every time - hate to see her miserable.

Still haven't been able to enjoy my wine since revision surgery (10/3). Had a couple of glasses one night the week after surgery, the first tasted good enough for me to want another, but the second one didn't taste good, and I haven't wanted more since. Not like me at all! Tomorrow night, going out to Uncle Julio's - my favorite Tex-Mex place, with some people from work. They have the best margarita/sangria swirls there --- right now it doesn't sound good, but maybe by tomorrow night.... meanwhile - please, someone have a glass Shiraz for me!!

Linda - DONE! In fact, I had 2 glasses of Shiraz just in case the first one didn't take. Okay, I had 3...you can never be too careful

Randi - I've been there with the animal trauma and high vet bills. But we love the little shits too much not to do whatever we can to save them. Hope your baby is healing well.

(((Shel))) - I've thought about you a lot today. You seem to be handling everything very well. Remember your sistas are here for you anytime if you need to vent.

Polishing off my last glass of Shiraz...

    Cheers, sistas

ever since i got the expander on my affected side, my ribs were raw.

i got my shitty, ugly, useless exchange and my ribs underneath the affected side still ached.......i told my onc....the rest is history.

    life is short girls.......party on!

Geez, Shel - I have been complaining to my onc for months about aching in my ribs. It is not on the affected side though. I think I have an adhesion from the tummy tuck I had five years ago. That's what I keep telling myself. It is always in the back of my mind that it could be mets or liver disease . I am seeing my breast surgeon tomorrow for a routine check and I will ask him what he thinks.

You are in my thoughts all the time. You seem to be a very strong person and I'm sure you will deal with this also. Don't you just wish that things like this would happen to the truely shitty people in this world? You have been through enough. Mike should get cancer of the dick .

No drinking for me tonight. I have to work late. Special cheers to you, Shel.

    Hi Ladies,

Well thanks for all your words about my baby Nootie. She got her first steriod last night and one at 3am this morning and she still looks like shit. Hello, I'm going home at lunch to give her another one and pray when I get home tonight she will look a little better. So as if that is not enough, I come home last night at 5 and right in front of my house I have flowers, well there sits my kitty kat, Gracie, did not give it a second thought, till my husband left for work at 4:30am this morning, he comes back in and says you might want to check on Gracie she is still in the same place and position she was last night. Yep sure enough there she was, so i pick her up and she screams in pain, so I take her in the house and she is now laying in my closet. No wounds that I can see........ Oh calgone take me away.

(((((((Shel)))))))) I'm praying for you and if you want I would be happy to come down and kick the shit out of Mike, I need to let go of some anger!!!!!!!!

jan, I'm going to forget about the weight for now, just try to do some walking and eat less, but never drink less!!!!!!!

    Hey Donna, how you doing??????

Well girls got to get some work done...........Oh and hello where did this month go!!!!!!!!

    then jumped out,
I couldn't get out of the tub fast enough,
was so funny, she look like a drowned rat
    Surprised me too~!~!

I know what you mean about broken promises to kids, I've seen it all my life but if I ever made a promise, come hell or high water I NEVER broke one~!~
Unfortunatly it's the kids that pay in a long run and slowly learn never to trust adults be it a man or a woman.

Boy Randi, you are really going through it with your poor "baby". Not only is it the big bucks you are spending, but you feel so helpless!

I saw my breast surgeon this morning and all is well. I mentioned my rib pain to him and he thought it was irritation where the muscles attach to the ribs. It could be scar tissue or an adhesion. He offered to order me a bone scan, but I opted to wait and see for a little while. He doesn't think it is my liver, so.......Bottoms up!!

Shel, are you hanging in there girlfriend? You have to be strong and fight this friggin' disease! You have to take care of yourself FIRST!! Screw everything else right now. If you haven't gone to Mexico yet, please try and have a good time. Just relax in the sun and enjoy the fruity drinks with little umbrellas.

    Gentle Hugs,

Biker, I'm sure it is jsut scar tissue, I have a spot on my ribs that ache and the doc said scar tisssue from the rads.

Well Laides, the news gets worse. They admitted my dog to the vet last night, the vet said one more day and she would have died. She almost lost a kidney, but the vet thinks she will be ok. I'm hoping to take her home today, I'm just heart sick over this. I took a picture of her to show my boss, since he let me leave early yesterday to take her to the vet, I would post it but trust me it would break your hearts.

Please pray for my baby, I'm crushed........

    Thanks

    Hi Girls,

Pass me a stiff one, drink I mean. I went to visit my baby at the vet today, and she is not coming home tongiht. The hives that are on the outside of her body are on the inside of her body as well. I am devestaded to say the least. Right now the docs are working hard on saving her and I pray she will be ok. Hubby and I are going back to visit tongiht. Right now the main problem is her protien level is dangeroulsy low and we need to get that up.

Please continue to pray, I know she is a dog, but she is my baby and I love her to death.

Thanks and may all of you beok

    A broken hearted Randi

Oh Randi, I totally understand how you feel about your pup. It is horrible to stand back and feel their suffering. Believe me, I am one of those people who blubbers like a baby for days (months), when we had a pet put to sleep. I hope everything turns out ok for you and your furchild. (((Hugs))).

Hey sistas, isn't this the drinking thread???? I'm doing my part with the Martinis and Carbernet. Wasssuppp??? Randi..Here's a great big alcoholic beverage for you!!!!

Randi, of course we'll pray for her. No one not even our pets should have to go thruogh that. It's just so hard cause they can't tell us what is wrong.

Hey Shel is almost ready to go to Mexico! Wish I could hide in her suitcase and go with her!

    Have Fun Shel!
