Hey, it went through!!!!!!!!!!
Charlene: LMAO over the Blue Ball comment!!!!!!!!!! And the reply you had also!!
MB: What are you up to my busy lady? Send you 2 recipes....are you writing a book? Could be fun!! I'll have to decide (seeing I rarely cook anymore) what is good and send them on!
Amy: Hope you are doing okay...........hate to say this, but....the last sentence of your post sounds like my sex life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Colleen: Good to hear from you! You and Warren will have a grand time in Richmond with your Sister! I'm the same way....I never get "excited" about going places but once I do I have a good time!
Oops..........phone
Hugs,
Denise

Geez, it's nice to know that it only took me 4 minutes to answer the phone and go the bathroom! Atleast that's what the boards tell me!Inquiring minds want to know!
Cheri: Hope all goes well at the Infection Doctor today. Are you feeling like it's getting better? Can you put any weight on in yet? So you're setting up a vacation site for us??!! I'll be there.......but pleeeze make it simple!!
WildJan: 4 Cockatails..........such cute names! Hope things are better with your DD. And I'm so glad to hear hubby's leg is finally healing! Have fun with The San Diego girls at your luncheon! Love getting together with my friends from the boards. I'll be making a short appearance in San Diego this November!
Z: So sorry for the rough time you are having. Please don't apoligize for venting to us.......that's what friends are for. You have given all of us alot of up lifting and we are more than happy to give some back. Helping out aging parents is never easy..and when they add to their own problems it can become down right nasty. And the guilt thing.........oh yea, I know all about that!
What I believe both Vickie and WildJan said.........about assisted living is so true. There are some beautiful places out there now. Of course, if she doesn't want to go..........I doubt you can make her. My Mom refuses and at 86 is still living by herself........but come hell or high water all 3 of us girls had better visit once or twice a week! So many of the elders look at assisted living as a nursing home and it DEFINITELY is not. Some are way to pricey in my eyes, but several are not. Good luck to you.
Shirley: First, Your nephew died from an overdose of XANAX? I had not heard what the autopsy showed. That's an eye opener. How is your sister and family doing? I feel so sorry for your other sister and the chemo. I have no clue about the eye pain, but am sure someone on here will respond. Soooooooooo, any updates on the bats? I still can not believe you have to live with the creepy things until November. That's just wrong. How's the whirlwind Doctor week going? And the rib? And what did I read about a picture of teeth?
Iris: I know I read something from you recently........must have been at the home away from home! Hope all is okay with you!!
Peter: You're over in the vacation house too, aren't you? Sure wish I had a solution to your sleep trouble. I take Phenegran at night........kinda like a Benedryl (or so they tell me) and it helps me sleep. Okay, going to the Chemist to get some drugs mixed is striking me as 'funny!' Sorry..........I can only picture Granpa Munster down in his dungeon mixing chemicals! (or was it the adamms family?)
Betty: Love the one finger Cheer you are giving you OLD company when you drive by. Glad you are taking the time to unwind and find a new job.
Jan: Saving you for the end of the list, cuz I just can not read what I have written beside your name. So I'll just say, Hi, hope all is well with you, how's the dungeon? How's the mowing? And did I ever tell you that my DH said he really enjoyed talking to Mark at PinkStock?
Speaking of PinkStock............I just got all my pictures developed yesterday and I want to go back so bad!
JanKay: Only you can decide what you want to do about Missy.I feel bad for you, but don't think you should have someone helping you who is causing more stress than anything. I would feel bad to about letting her go when she is pregnant, but you did not get her pregnant and bottom line is that you still need your daily help. Talk to Area on Aging...you mentioned that you are through them. Your caseworker will be able to help you. I know they did not set you up with Missy, cuz she would have to be with an agency. Now for Chester.................the Non DH................I don't think I like him. Never heard his name until a couple of days ago............12 years sick and he's gone with you 2 times. You deserve so much more than you are getting from these negative people in your life. Are your kids grown? I know one is still home.......school or older?
Okay, I really have to go............cleaning the family room. Let me explain that.................I have a walkout lower level and that is the family room. A beautiful huge room that NEVER gets used! The only time we are down there is if people are coming over which is pretty much never so it doesn't get cleaned to often! This morning when I went down there, there were two fawns within 3 feet of the window just watching me!!
I'll pop over to the rental in a bit..................
Hugs,
Denise

Hi everyone. I just got back from some free accupuncture. I am feeling pretty good now. Between that and the massage I think I feel almost normal today.
Vickie-Love the picture. How old is Nate? He looks about the same age as one of my ds's.
Charlene-I can only handle one web site at a time. Thanks for the link but I have decided to stay here. To much info scattered around get to my chemo brain.
Gina-that was great of you to set up that rental for everyone while this site was driving them crazy.
Amy-so sorry to hear of your mets. I hate this beast. I am saying a pray that you get the right treatment to conquer this again.
Zazette-Don't you feel bad about feeling bad. You can only do so much. Don't be taken advantage of out of guilt and certainly don't let your mother's problems ruin your life. Why should everyone be miserable. Do what you can and then say you are done for the day. I think the assisted living idea is the best thing for you and your family though.
Cheri-You sure do get around on the Internet. I am glad you are feeling better.
Nicki-I really home you get that new job. It sounds wonderful and very fullfilling.
Odalys-It is still very warm here too. This morning I thought was going to be cooler but once that sun came up it got hot again.
Shirley-They like to do the blood work at my onc the week before to make sure the onc has the story before I get there. I could do it the same day but then I would have to wait around. My onc is only 10 minutes away so I choose to go twice.
Well off to pick up the boys from school.

Gee it is hard trying to keep up with two sites. I don't know how the people who also do MySpace find the time.
Here at my end of the circle it is feeling like fall. Today was bright and sunny but cool. Hard to believe that last week at this time temps were in the 90s and today I am wearing sweats and still feeling cold.
Finally have my chest CT scan scheduled for Friday morning. Of course since they told me I need it, I am having all kinds of aches and pains. Doc assures me it will be fine so that is what I am hoping for. Got my lipid panel results back today and they were good. My total cholesterol went from 258 to 140 in five weeks on the simvastatin (generic Zocor). LDL went from 176 to 50. Only thing that went up was triglycerides - not sure why but not too high so I am happy - HDL went up 10 points too but that is good. Went to the gym yesterday and worked with the trainer and are my legs ever sore today.
Vickie - so glad your docs visit went well. Love your new avatar with Nate.
Wild/Jan - great news about your dh leg healing.
Nicki - that new job sounds like it might be "the one". Good luck with the interview on Friday. Sounds like good news at the doc too.
Gina - hope your chemo went well today.
Brenda/BMD - a massage and accupuncture - wow - sounds really good.
Susan - only B9 results. I hate when you get letters like that from docs, especially an onc - knew I would be seeing mine for a long time so chose someone young - although doesn't mean he won't leave and go someplace else.
Shirley - My daughter loves Grey's Anatomy. I haven't watched it. We try not to watch TV during the week cuz we don't let the kidlets watch it. My dh turned on the TV the other night and Jack (10) called him a hipocrite. That was a neat story about your son and the chess. My son read the book The Westing Game in 8th grade which is a book about a chess game. He got hooked and played all through high school and college. Neither my dh or I play so he is trying to teach his siblings so he has someone to play with when he comes home to visit.
Denise - poor doggie has to go on a diet. Diets are no fun - would think particularly not for a dog - their food doesn't look all that good to begin with.
Z - sending you big hugs. I agree with everyone else that said you should look into assisted living for your mom - if she will do it. You need a break.
MB - will try to see if I can find two recipes.
Okay, my time has run out - need to go fix some dinner. Will try to BBL. Know I missed many.
Love and Hugs to all from A to Z,
Suz

Good evening all,
whew...what a day it has been. I picked up my gauntlets and sleeves today!! Yippee...I can crochet again. She had told me I wouldn't be able to do anything with the gauntlet on but I find it easier...?
Someone asked about the dexa scan...I had one when I had my follow up with my surgeon in August (?)...its the one scan I don't mind LOL. I know what they are looking for and it take no more than 15 minutes...wish they could all be so easy. I didn't hear anything about it so didn't call. Comparing the two scans though shows a pretty significant decrease in bone on my right side. Not sure what they are going to do yet...will know next week. I can't figure it out as I have always loved dairy products and can't imagine I ever had a calcium deficiency of any kind. who knows...least of my worries!
MB...I'll send ya my two favorite recipes.
Did I miss something about Susan...I am so confused these days.
Mena...where are you? Been waiting and waiting for you to check in.
Hi Suz...hugs and miss ya.
Jankay...if you try to call me you won't be able to get through...but...I bought a new phone today and it is charging and should be fully charged by morning. What a pain.
Denise...we were on a roll today...how in the world did you manage to include so many! I'm impressed. I need to go back to taking notes.
BMD...Nate is eight going on 28...geez that boy is getting a mouth on him! Little Mr. Lippy lately LOL. He didn't want to do his homework tonight and just coming up with one arguement after another...finally I got the dish soap...set it on the table and said "one more word out of your mouth and this goes in...enough!". heehee...did the trick. He's so very good 95 percent of the time but let me tell you...that 5 percent can be really bad! aauugghh.
Hey to Odalys, Cheri, MB, Z, Amy...everyone.
I am tuckin you all in early tonight as I so desperately want to get the journals done!! They are going to be so very sweet. I have a question for the Pinkstock girls though...do you all mind if I include Pinkstock at the end of the journal with pics and little stories? If anyone doesn't want there pic or name mentioned it is fine...just let me know.
Love ya all and I may be back later
Vickie

TODAY WAS A PRETTY GOOD DAY. MISSYS BABY IS DUE MAY 7.
I KNOW U ALL WANT AGREE WITHME BUT I WILL NOT FIRE HER RIGHT NOW.
I FIGURE IF I MOVE IN THE NEXT COUPLE MONTHS, I PROBABLY WONT NEED HER.
I JUST TALKED TO PUPPY AND SHE WAS TIRED , THEY HAD BEEN TO SEE HER OTHER SON JASON. HE TOLD HER THAT HER COMPUTER COULD PROBABLY BE FIXED BY CALLING NET ZERO.
SHE also said that miz sisy had called her today and told her that she should leave the circle because a few of them thought the circle was cold and that she should leave and change her name to HEAVEN CAN WAIT
She said she set them straight and said her name would always be PUPPY.
i said amen puppy lou and she decided she liked puppy lou.
i also think a good name for peter is "mystery aussieman"
love to all

ONE DAY AT A TIME0 -
OK, I know I promised that I would get back on Wed night with a long posts, including messages to all, the best I can do tonight is say... Love to you all. I have read back and feel I can navigate this site a lil easier, but no time for notes or a long post.
Tonight is one of our employees last nights with us, he is moving on to a new restaurant after almost 13 yrs, as long as we've been open. So, of course, we have to have a lil get-together and some pizza and beers, his favorite things. Hopefully, he'll find the grass is not always greener and come back soon. We have been like family and friends since the early 80's, like a brother. So, I have no choice but to join, my buddy (aka Joey Big-Change, Joey Bag-a-Donuts, JOJO and Guisseppe)
Cheers to him and all of you. I'll come back tomorrow, another night off work.
I'll fly by the rental and check it out, then a cold Mich Ultra is calling my name back at the restaurant.

Howdy friends. Still waiting to hear from onc. Getting more annoyed by the minute. But he has called as late as 7pm before so I'll wait till then to be truly ticked.
Odalys, thanks for relating your experience. I will pass it on. She does have pain meds.
Neesie, yep he died from xanax. Scary thought isn't it.
Whirlwind doctor week turned into whirlwind day. Have my infusion on friday. Till then I'm hanging with the cast of greys anatomy.BMD/Brenda, understand that. Guess I'm just lucky. I tell the lab what time my appt is and the doc has my results by the time I get there. But all he orders is CBC and liver panel.
Suz, once again, kudos to your son for teaching his siblings.
Vicki, can't wait to see the journal.
Off to bond. Poor man worked all day while I sat on my butt and watched tv and then he comes home and cooks. What a guy. I'm sure the part about him wanting to eat might have something to do with it tho.

Just popping in to tell all to have a good night! Quiet around here tonight...bet I know where everyone is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gina has made our rental home very comfortable and the scantally (sp) dressed cabana boys are keeping all of the hormone deprived ladies occupied!!
Vickie: I was a bit long winded today! Sometimes my fingers just move faster than my mind and away I go!
Suz: Chilly here also..................Sorry, but I had to laugh at the thought of Jack calling his Daddy a Hipocrite!!!! Good luck with your scan..........sending positive thoughts your way.
Vickie: To Funny about the mouthy kid and soap! Back in May, my 3 year old GD learned it was fun to Yell "NO" whenever DD asked/told her to do anything. One night Mom had enough and warned her that one more time and she was getting soap in her mouth........................So of course my GD looked at her Mommy and said, "NO!" DD went and got a new bar of soap and put it on GD's lip.........................GD said, "UMMMMM pretty good, can I have more!" She is a fiesty one! I told my DD she was mean, that I never did that to her!!!!
Guess I better wander over to the Hamptons and see what all are up to!
Good night to all,
Denise

Suz, did the zocor give you any problems? That's really very good results. good luck with the scan.
Vickie, thumbs up on adding the Pinkstock stuff. Just not the picture of me in the hammock, ok? that is so gross.
Christine have fun at the party. Is it someone I met while I was there?
Hi Amy, how are you.
Nessie, i keep missing you. i've been over at the Hamptons and now I'm here, I think.

HI all I have another chemo under the belt and I had my favorite nurse from last year. She was always the best and knows me pretty good. I think she asked to get me back!
will be so glad when they start letting me really teach the new gal some things. right now I get her about 30 minutes a day. can't teach anything in that amount of time. I spent from 6:30 to 1:30 checking orders the other two gals put in yesterday. Left me with an hour to do my job before I had to leave for chemo today. Glad things are pretty slow in my position, relatively speaking. Will also be glad when the gal that went to Europe gets back next week and can do some of the regular work and I can concentrate on my job again. I'm working with a lot of last minute print jobs and production doesn't like that much. I've already put in almost 30 hours this week. I can't keep doing that but I also know the gal that has pneumonia is putting in many more hours than I am. We both need some time off!
Susan, Hope the new job is working out for you.
Nicki, did I see that you are putting in for new work? Hope that's not in addition to what you're already doing. Hubby needs to get a day job at a music store for teaching kids to play or something like that. Help you out a bit more.
Just got off the phone with the parmacy. I left a rx for my pain pills with them on Sunday and they still haven't called the clinic to verify them so I can get them filled! gave me some excuse that they've had a lot of turn over in the last 3 days! I don't care get it done so I can get my meds! I thought they lost it at first or someone stole it, but they found the rx and said they will call first thing in the morning!
This has just been a very wired week.
going to go read a little then off to bed for me.
Love to all
Oh Vickie I think adding Pinkstock to the end of the journal will be a great idea. I have film in the shop I'll pick up tomorrow and will have to see if there are any more good ones from the falls

I'll catch up with you all tomorrow. Love you all from A - Z.

Hey Z, I know an Assisted Living place may seem like you Mom is giving up to her but let me tell you my MIL has been so busy since we moved her into one that she hardly ever complains anymore. She really liked it after she got there. Go look around at several and then just take Mom without telling here where your going to visit them. Once there let her know you're not trying to get rid of her but are trying to find a place where she can make new friends and be able to be on her own again. AL places are not giving up they are finding new freedoms. A place where the staff does the cooking and taking care of things and they can just relax and enjoy!
You need to be able to concetrate on your son and your hubby and mostly YOU!
I may not have worded this the best way but I think you know what I'm trying to say.

Not much to catch up with around here. Most everyone is in the Hamptons I guess.
Suz-Sounds like they got you the right meds.
Vickie-My oldest ds is 8. I have threatened the soap on his toothbrush but have not done it yet. Homework is the worst. Lippy is an understatement. I hate homework more than he does now.
JanKay-thanks for the update on Puppy. I miss her around here.
Sleep well my friends.

Good Morning everyone, I've been up since 2:30 AM reading posts here and over at the resort. I added a darvocet to the muscle relaxer that I take nightly on top of one glass of wine. sigh ...
I decided to post my own angels pics today. Ava is in the dress talking to her new 3 year old friend. Audrey just made a great catch!
BMD .. I understand you wanting to stay in one place. Wow, free accupuncture after a free massage! What's next?
Suz .. See what time I'm posting this? Now you know, at least how I find the time! It's insomnia time! LOL Wow, good news on the cholesterol! Will be thinking of you Friday and sending good luck.
Vickie and BMD: .. Audrey is 8 going on 28 too!!! I understand that 8 is referred to as the "obnoxious" age. lol I'm lucky though as she comes home and does her homework right away without being told. In fact Karl wanted to show her something funny yesterday and called her into his office .. and she said, "I can't believe you interrupted my homework for that!"
LOL I hope she continues forever with the great school attitude she has. She's great most of the time, but boy oh boy, can we ever butt heads!
CY .. I think I would have to change pharmacies! I wish you could slow down more still! I hope you're getting the rest you need.
Christine .. Hope you had fun at the going away party .. cheers!
Nicki .. Good Morning to you!
Back to bed with me, hope everyone has a great day!Love & Hugs,
Charlene

Good morning gals. Off to Tennessee this morning so thought I'd check in. Won't be back till late Monday night. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
My onc f/u visit (I really like that F-U, describes the experience to a Tee) was uneventful. He was very pleased, said I had a 1% chance of recur on the right side and agreed with the bi-lat decision taking my survival rates from 82% to 95%. He doesn't see me again for 4 months! The waiting room was full and I am doing a "woohoo 4 month" dance out the door. Everyone just laughed.
Take care Amy to Z...... Marsha

Doing a fly by. Marsha, have fun in TN. We used to have a houseboat so do miss it. My f/u with my onc is today.
Madison, hoping Humberto doesn't pay you a visit.
Charlene, you sure do have two special angels.
Z, my mom resisted an assisted living facility because she wanted to stay in her house. She is living now at one down the street from her house. We did have people coming in to her house to take care of her and she is very difficult to live with. She finally came to the realization that assisted living would cook (even though she complains about the food), clean, and be there should she require anything. Hers costs about $3500 a month for a studio but at least we know she is taken care of.
Going to the Hamptons. Have a great day.

SHIRLEY>I'm debating on getting Greys Anatomy 3, I saw yesterday it was $44.95 at our Walmart. Yet there are a couple of places with it for about $15.00 less on sale so think I better grab one of those before they go back to normal prices!
B445>I don't know how you do it, work and chemo at the same time! My one and only dosage knocked me off my feet for two weeks. I felt like I had the flu but 10 times worse!

good morning
Madison, we are worried, and Skokk too...please keep us updated....
fast fly by...work is unbearable so I will work fast and hope to come back soon...
hugs A to Z...
Denise...yup I need something to keep me busy...so a recipe book...but may do it digital...no printing costs then...lol....
Wildabout horses Jan already with the first 2 ,...yummy...
MB...working her little fingers off....

Good morning campers! Woohoo, Thursday and then just one more day until the weekend. Well, looks like I survived another layoff. The division leader sent an email last night at 9 pm saying it was completed for our section. Whew! Its time I got off my lazy fanny and find a new job before I have to go through #8.
Marsha -- that is fantabulous news from your onc. Have a great weekend.
Cheri -- great news from your infection control too.
Jankay -- you sure do have a big heart. That is so caring of you not to want to fire Missy now that she is pregnant. I hope you can get things worked out with her.
Vickie -- I must have missed a page because I just saw your pic and it is lovely.
Nicki -- good luck on your job interview.
Well, off to work. Actually pretty glad I can say that today.
By the way, has anyone noticed that we now have spell check?

ALWAYSHOPE>Whew glad you made it through the layoff. Yes it might be time to think about another job while you still are working...

Just a quick note as I am out the door to the hospital
Mom did suffer a mild heart attack - she will be 87 in Nov. Cath was ok as there was no blood clots. Said if that is what caused it it was a small one and all the aspirin she had broke it up. She is also having very irregular heart rhythm so that could also possibly have sent the heart into spasms.
She will get to come home today. She is a difficult person, has no friends you heard me NONE!! Praying I am up to the task ahead and have the energy and strength to endure. We are not close but she won't let anyone get real close to her - not my brother or sister either, although they do better than I do. I put up barriers a long time ago. Ok, enough. She is my mom and you do what you need to do.
Jas, glad things worked out for you at work.
Sorry I don't have time to post more. Thanks for letting me vent - I can cry easily thinking about the days ahead but, just as with our BC, one day at a time!!!
Brenda

Jas - whooohoooo ... so glad you survived another round of layoffs - that had to be a very stressful day yesterday. I checked last night and was worried because you hadn't given an update ... so I was concerned. Hope you can find a new job before round 9 comes around ... sounds like the company grew too fast and there's a slow down now ... or other problems ...
Nicki's latest job opportunity sounds wonderful - Nicki - I hope your job interview goes well and that it turns out to be a terrific opportunity for you.
Hugs to all of my sisters here ...

Why won't my photobucket pic post? That gets me mad

Hi--boy I am frustrated. It took me so long to read all post on Tues. cause I haven't been here since I had my knee surgery on Fri. Then I posted a long one and you guessed it--it wouldn't go through. Unbelievable!!!
Just made a few notes and then will go back and read the rest.
Z, assisted living is a good idea. My friend's mom went into one and she absolutely loves it. She wishes she would have done it a long time ago.
Jan,try half.com for cheap prices on dvds, books and the like
Peter, love the fukitol pill
Cheri, glad your leg is healing
Brenda and Charlene, thinks for thinking of me on my knee surgery day
Amy, so sorry to hear about lung mets
Liz, how are you feeling?
Well, my surgery went well. But they had to give a spinal cause I had bad acid reflux that day and they didn't want to take the chance with general anesthesia. Never had one of those and it wasn't pleasant--didn't like the "no feeling" bit. I had a reaction to the pain med they put in the spinal so I had to get a couple of shots of benadryl. That night at home my back started hurting so bad from my waist to my feet on the backside of me. Took tylenol w/codeine but it didn't help. I called doc in morning and he said to take 4 advil every 4 hours and apologized that no one told me that could happen. Then on Tues night I noticed black and blues all over my torso--freaked me out!!! My pcp's partner was still in office so they told me to come right down. He did blood work(will get results today) He didn't think it was life threatening..could be from the aspirin I take everyday, or severe vitamin C deficiency or bad reaction to spinal. That is what he is thinking anyway. Today my knee is really hurting . It didnt the last two days--maybe I am doing too much. I can't go back to work til next Tues. Well, sorry for rattling on. So hope this goes thru, otherwise I will be sooo aggravated.
Have a good day all.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie
