Bubbly1 asked where one can add names of a loved one they are worried about and said she had a few people she knows who need alot of prayers and support. It was her first post in the Circle, and she's very new to BCO. I didn't think she really wanted the center of the Circle since she hasn't even been here but for that post. I assumed I was directing her to the right place at BCO. It doesn't really matter what thread people are posting on as long as they get the support they need, does it?

Suddenly there are a lot of people who used to post here coming back again. That's nice.

Joyce ... How nice to be going on a cruise. Enjoy yourself. I hope you come back and post pics!

Candie ... LOL I'm happy for you. I like Eli and I may just root for them in the Super Bowl. But I like Brady too.... just a little tired of the Pats winning all the time!

Gotta go I'm so tired of .. well, I'm just tired. See you all tomorrow.

I never stop thinking of my sisters. Such a journey of love, pain, hope, smiles, tears and down right belly-laughs! Thank you Gina for this gift! Take good care of you for me!

    In me heart sweeties,

It's nice that someone started this thread but I believe we need to give credit where it's due ... to all the women who have made this thread what it is today.  The women who have posted all their heartaches and joys and made friends and found support from each other and continued to post here through all the ups and downs of it.  Really nobody "owns" any of these threads at BCO do they?  It seems to me that all threads are for each other, and who started them is really neither here nor there.  It's all about supporting each other through this horrendous journey right?  Right???  Please tell me there's no other reason women would post on a breast cancer support site.  I am beginning to wonder.  That's not true.  I've been wondering for a while now.

    Angel-

I'm not really sure what you are asking....of course no one owns a thread here...to me it is kind of an organic thing.  It grows and changes with all the people who post.  People come, people go and then sometimes come back,  but the purpose is always the same: to create a soft place to land....a place that breast cancer survivors and their loved ones can come to get support and understanding.  Of course, that's just my image of this place.  I guess everyone who comes here might see something a bit different.  I don't know what kind of ulterior motive anyone would have.....what is causing you to worry or wonder?

Deb, that is exactly why this thread was created. And you are one of the people who made it the wonderful place it is.

Vickie and Nicki did too, but they do not feel comfortable posting here any longer because of unkind things said to them here.

No one owns threads and I don't think anyone was suggesting it.

I am dismayed once again. When ever things seem to be going well, and people are genuinely caring about one another someone has to start something.

I meant every word I wrote earlier about how thrilled I was to see this place getting back together again. Yes my name is on this thread and I feel very close to it because it encompasses so much of what we are about as breast cancer survivors. I have felt terrible that I have not been able to post as much as I used to and people have written me to please try to make the time. Ever since chemo ended I have made a concentrated effort to be more active because I love this place.

Just yesterday we lost a sister. Cy is having such a terrible time. Dear slonedeb is not feeling well. Ferne is in her second week of whole brain rads. Lori sees all her docs again to see where she is at with her mets...the list goes on and on.

There are new girls everyday coming for help and support. We give it to them. Can't that be the only "ulterior motive" folks? Must everything be a grand master plan and hidden agenda? Can't people get OVER THEIR ANGER AND MOVE FORWARD? Ever??

If you can't come here to be a normal person and be genuine then don't come here. Melissa and Tami have had enough on their hands that I am certain they are pretty fed up with having to baby sit the wagon circle.

We were never like this. We were the place that this stuff never happened... now we are the only place this happens.

ALL the wagon circle girls and boy are precious jewels that create  a warm place, a place of love and understanding.

I have asked this so many times before I am fairly blue in the face but I will ask it again: Can we PLEASE give it a rest? Pack up the vendettas and go to a bowling board or a prowrestling board.

This is breast cancer. How many time do the normal members have to say this???

The circle was and is a wonderful place. Newcomers, just jump right in. There is no agenda here other than helping each other through this horrid disease.

As for the righteously indignant few... please find a new grassy knoll to be outraged about.

    Love to all,

Good Cold Morning CG's.  Short post.  NO WATER: No shower, no brushing teeth, no potty.  Have to go meet the grandkids as I have them today - gonna be fun.

The joys of living in the country - don't know if water frozen or pump has given up on us.

Have a great day - everyone gather round the fire it is darn cold this morning.

Coffee might be late as I ran into a little problem with the water.

I was pulling for the Packers but the Giants played well.  I'll pull for them in the SB - good games yesterday.

Hi girls, not going to read back.

Char, wasn't that a good game yesterday?  I would like Eli to be on the winning team but I'm torn because Tom Brady is from the town I live in and his family lives about 2 miles from me.

Brenda, no water - that would be tough.

    Jan, nice photos, as usual.

Hope everyone is doing well and if you have to work today (like me) it's not too busy.

    Good morning Circle ladies!

Its Monday...boohoo! Oh well, gotta go to work.

WildJan -- some more great pictures.  Absolutely lovely.

Angel -- gentle hugs for you.  How are you feeling these days?  I just want you to know that I really look forward to your posts each day.  You add a wonderful warmth and sense of humor to the circle.

Candie -- I sure hope we get that tax rebate too.  I've got tons of stuff I can use it for.  Maybe it will even help some be able to come to Pinkstock this year.  Best wishes on your tests.

    Good morning Odalys and Slonedeb.

LoriFL -- I'm not really a big sports fan but wtg Giants.  I love to watch the Superbowl for the commercials.

Wild/Jan:  The pics are Great as always!  I'm thinking accu-weather is just giving some others a chance!  LOL  The last one has a warming effect!

Margo:  Yes, it was a Great game!  I can see how you're torn about the Superbowl .. what a dilemma!  Look at it this way, no matter who wins you can be happy!  Part of me thinks Tom Brady and the Pats deserve to win...but I just can't help rooting for the underdog.  Hope your workday isn't too busy!

Jas:  Thank you for your kindness. I do yours as well, they are so upbeat and happy. I'm feeling okay these days and when I'm not a little heat and a muscle relaxer at night helps.  I'd rather Drink wine than whine  lol

Hi everyone, is there room for one more here?  I've followed everyone here since the thread started but am kind of shy and not as good at conversational posting as everyone else seems to be so I tend to lurk more than post.  Anyway, I'm scared right now and needed somewhere to go so came here.  I had (what I thought would be) a regular eye exam last week. I had to go to a new dr. and when he got done he asked me if anyone had ever told me I had an eye wiggle or nystagmus (NO!).  He said it can be congenital (in which case it probably would have shown up by now) or can be caused be a neurological mass (don't think he wanted to say brain tumor). As you can imagine I've been "googling" and it seems the main causes are as he said, congenital, brain tumor, or multiple sclerosis.  I'm supposed to go back to him the 29th for a field vision test and eye dilation....after that I'm not sure.  I'll probably call my onc before then, if I get my courage up.  I'm scared to have an MRI....what if it's a brain tumor!?!  MS isn't good either..........they both scare the tar out of me. I know I have to make the call and will have to have an MRI probably, but, I don't know what I'll do.  I live alone. My sister and I are very close but she lives an hour away and doesn't drive.  The rest of my family consists of two elderly aunts who live in the same town as my sister.  I have to be able to keep working to support myself.  I'm sorry I'm rambling and dumping it all out on you but I needed to tell someone (I've already told my sister) but don't want to worry others until necessary.  Thanks for listening to me.

    Pat

Gentle hugs Pat.  The 29th seems awfully far away.  Have you considered getting a second opinion?  I would make an appointment with an opthamologist rather than an optician or optometrist.  They are more trained in these areas I think.

Welcome to the circle.  We are glad you came here and don't worry about chatting skills.  Just jump in when you feel comfortable and don't worry about trying to address everyone.  There are so many these days that is a really hard thing to do.

Pat .. There's Always room for more and welcome to you!  Oh my goodness, I hear your fear in your post and so understand it.  I'm wondering if it's possible for it to be congenital and that it was there but your other doctor never mentioned it?  That would be my first phone call ... to the prior doctor to ask that.  I always work on the premise that knowledge is power because you Know what you're dealing with as scary as it can be.  Sometimes the unknown is more fearful.  Once you know, you can start doing something about it and we'll help you all the way. I'm sure some others will come along with better words than me.  I just want you to know that we're here and holding your hand, offering you comfort and hugs and always an ear.
