Jill, welcome to the circle. You will find a lot of support here. Bottom line, when one of us is in trouble and needs help, everyone comes forward to lend a hand.
Madison, well said.

Margaret -- how did the soup turn out?
0 -
Jas, it was good, bacon and cheese, yum.

Madison ... beautifully and simply stated .. I hope you don't mind my quoting you "This is what the circle is about.......giving strength and support when needed and, in turn, having support and strength given to each of us when needed."
That's really what it boils down to on a breast cancer Support site and all the other "stuff" doesn't belong here.
Jill ... pull up close to the fire and enjoy some hot chocolate and scrumptious cookies with me. From one bc survivor to another.

Good morning! It's a great morning after a super win by the Giants.
Jas, pretty much ready to go.
Jill.welcome. Lots of love,support,hugs and prayers,here.
Well, I spent yesterday cleaning. Today I will be leaving work early.
I am going to get a manicure and pedicure. I have never had one done as I always do them myself. It was one of my Christmas gifts from one of my DD's. She thought I should have it one for my trip.
Then I just have to finish packing.
I am excited and nervous at the same time. The plane makes me nervous but .....oh well.
So excited that the Giants won...we will all be celebrating at work today.
Have a great day.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie
Margaret,that soup sounds sooo good.

Good morning Circle Ladies. Its a bright beautiful day.
Candie -- I've never had a manicure or pedicure either. My good friend keeps trying to get me to go get one. I hope you have a great time on your trip. Flying is great. I love to fly...and some of the airports these days are unbelievable. They're like little mini malls with shops like Bath and Body Works, etc. So you can shop between layovers.
Well, Here is the song of the day, its a golden oldie classic:

Good morning everyone
Candie, you must be on cloud 9! What a game that was! I was rooting for the underdog and the Giants sure showed how they deserved to win the Super Bowl. You are going to love the mani/pedicure! I've had them done before and I used to consider them a luxury. Now I think they are something every woman should do for herself if she can. Especially the pedicure, which is so relaxing. It's been years since I've had it done myself so I need to get myself to the salon! I love flying ... it still amazes me that we have that as a means of travel. Enjoy yourself!
Jasmine, Go get thee a mani/pedicure! Thank you for another beautiful classic song. I love it and it brought tears to my eyes. Very touching.
I have my genetics counselor meeting this morning. Hoping for a great day for all.

Angel -- I'm so ticklish on my feet. I would probably fall out of the chair the first time they tried to touch my feet. As for the manicure, my job requires so much typing and then I used to quilt that I always kept my nails really short so I never needed a manicure. What's to shape when the nails are trimmed down so much. Maybe when I retire, I will go for the manicure...but I just don't think I could sit still for the feet touching one.
Best wishes on your genetic couseling appointment. I know you are nervous but really, you've already faced the worst.

Jas ... ahhh, well that could be a problem if you're so ticklish on your feet! My nails grow so fast and typing hurts when they're long. I see woman typing with their fingernails because their nails are too long to type with their fingers! LOL
Thank you. It's funny, I am nervous about this appointment and I didn't think I would be. Normally I go into appointments strong and steady. But you're right, no need to be. This first appointment is the education one where they educate me on everything about this genetics test and gather all my family cancer history. So I won't even be getting the test done yet. Easy breezy.

good morning family...
I came on to check on my sisters... prayers and hand holding from me....
I'll put some logs on the fire and make sure the kettle is filled, coffee tea or what ever...and how about some nice stew and my favorite corn bread muffin...
thanks for posting the picture of Cy... wanting the circle to be what it was, but knowing it must grow...so...I will check in often (and glad most upsets happen on the weekends when I'm not online)...
Sending warm hugs and PINKSTOCK love to everyone... peace

What does it mean when a post gets "deleted by the Community"...that one (1) person objected, or that many did...how many?

Good morning Circle ladies. Thank you Angel for the delicious cookies this morning. I love your name my sister collects Angels and really has some beautiful ones. I appreciate you reaching out to me. Candie, thank you also for the warm welcome. It sounds like you're planning on leaving for a great vacation somewhere. Have a wonderful time. AlwaysHope, the song of the day is one of my old favorites. Thank you for posting it. Hopefully all the trouble is water under the bridge and the Circle will get back to how great I've heard it was.
I need to learn how to post pictures, can someone give me some advice on that, please? I've seen some gorgeous Angel pictures and some very funny ones too. I like funny.
Wishing everyone a very nice day.
Hugs
Jill

Miz I have heard 3 people but I don't know for a fact how that works. Never really looked it up to find out cause I'm not a report person, if I dont like what I read I just skip it and move along.
Jill-nice to see you posting and sticking around. Those cookies sure looked good this morning that Charlene left you but I was nice and didn't touch them.
MB-nice to see you this morning. My mom got a pedometer and she was asking me to set it up for her and show her how to work it and I couldn't help but think of you. In a good way no doubt.
Jaz-never had a pedicure either but it sure sounds relaxing. Never thought about the ticklish feet part though.
Charlene-cant wait to hear how your appointment goes today. That is something I have not even checked out.
Madison-nice post.
Margaret-I made potato soup not long ago and had the same sides to go with it and it was good.

Good afternoon everyone,
Wow, I didn,t realize, it's been a week since I posted here - haven't forgotten about you, just had a few "Blue" days, with all the sadness here with our bc sisters, and my own sister is going through a bad time. But the sun is shining beautiful today--makes me feel a little better !!
Welcome, Jill, I'm sure you'll like it here. You can always count on seeing beautiful angels, hearing great songs, and don't forget the cookies !! But most of all, friendship and support.
Wishing ALL a beautiful day !!!!!

Hello Forgetmenot,
Nice to see you here. To post pictures, you first need to have them on line somewhere. There are lots of pix already on line, but you can load them up using Photobucket, or Picasa, my favorite (which also has a great off line free editor from Google). Once you have a picture, copy the URL.
In the BC message creator, just click on the picture icon (a tree) at the top, and a window will open...paste in your URL and that's it!!! Veddy easy.
Tip: if you are using Picasa Web Albums, click on the "Link to this photo" item to the lower right of pic, and then copy the "email or IM" URL data...and this can go directly into a Text link rather than a picture link (the T text icon in the BC message creator). OK, it got complicated, but that's what happens when all these different software providers try to make things "too simple."
Amy, thanx for the guess. I sure hope its a good number of people (like 4 or 5) because I think it becomes just another power pivot for people who don't like each other..

Thank you Mzsissy for the picture posting lesson. Sounds simple enough I guess.
Amy, thank you for the nice welcome and for staying out of my cookies this morning! lol
Barb, another nice welcome. Thank you so much. My friend told me this was the place to come and said bco was the best. Everyone is so friendly here and I appreciate it very much.

Jill, I must say it was tempting to try just one cookie but I refrained. Its great to have friends to lead you in the right direction also.
Miz-like I said I have no idea about the number but did tell you what I had heard. I do agree with what you said about it.
Barb-nice to see you again. Its a rainy cloudy day here so glad somebody is getting sunshine.

Welcome Jill, your friend was right. BCO is a great place to connect with people who share a common bond.
I'll admit, I had a hard time staying away from your cookies also. Amy and I were fighting for them, lol!
Yeah, Susan. Another crappy day on my end of the circle!

I would like to add that BC.ORG is probably the best place in the world to be up-to-date and informed about BC. There are quite a few decisions I had to make during the course of treatment that probably would have been the wrong decisions without the information & support that I got here..the wrong surgery, the wrong chemo, the wrong hormonal.
I think it is important that all women who have experienced breast cancer find the support they need here.

Hello Circle girls,
How many are still happy about yesterday's super bowl?
It is very cold and rainy here, but it will warm up tomorrow for the parade for the Giants.
I hope that everyone who had tests today is doing alright.
It was so good to see our Cy post!
Love,
g

Hello everyone,
Thank you for all of your well wishes and prayers. They sure are working and I think I am slowly recovering from the wbr/brain mets treatment. Things are still pretty weird and foggy, but slowly improving.
Please keep Cy and Joanne especially close to your heart as well as everyone facing adversity right now. It's encouraging that Cy was able to post. It gave me new hope that maybe things may take a turn for her. But when I read Joanne's blog, I was very sad.
Hugs to you all,
Ferne

Hi Ferne,
So happy to see a note from you. I think about you all the time!! Hi G ... hope rads are being kinder to you. Haven't heard about Naniam's scans yet today and pray all is negative. Did see a few words from Cy on the Fund thread. I was able to get the full account number today at the bank, so if anyone wants the info or to donate on-line, please check the Fund thread.
I also read that Wild/Jan's husband was out of surgery too. Mr. Tim starts physical therapy tomorrow ... hopefully that will relieve some of his pain and start the healing process.
Hugs and prayers for all needing love and comfort in the center of the Circle.
love,
Bren
