I'll bring the ice cream, Shokk.  Oh my what a feast we will have.  When I read fried okra and purple hull peas, my mouth started watering.  I'll also make an extra pan of corn bread.  We might want to add some collards and we can use the corn bread to "sop up the pott likker."

It is cloudy here in Georgia today but I feel the sun peeking out here.  This is our place of comfort, you are right.  I remember very clearly when Vickie and Puppy invited me to the wagon.  I had just lost my mom and then later I lost my son.  This place was my sanity.  I still come here to try and comfort others and to gain strength when mine is failing.

It is not our place to judge but to love.  I am glad to see so many "old-timers" here.  I hope the new ones will continue to frequent here.  Spice girl, hope your onc visit is a good one today.  I am praying that the marker numbers go down, down, down.

Footprints angel and hollyann.... come back wherever you are.  Lisa, thanks so much for your pictures.  They always make my day.

I had to get a new battery for my car today.  Boss man came to jump me off so I could get to work.  If only my brain could take a jump start so easily!

I am throwing a log of friendship on the fire... reaching out my hands to all of you....

I'm hungry!  I'll take my tea unsweet with a little lemon.  I am the oddball here in KY, people look at me strange all the time.

As the day draws to a close, I am drawn back here to the wagon circle.  A place where so many have been and many more will come eventually.   A place to recline by the fire and be surrounded by friends who understand you.  I am happy to see so many of my old friends here and so very sad to miss many who have gone on before.   Come get a place by the fire.  Relax and be calm.  I will throw a log of friendship onto the fire, as well as one of healing for not only this disease but also hearts that have been broken.  I reach out my hand... will you take it?   Good night Sisters, I will take the first watch.

Crawdads .. aren't those the cockroaches of the water???

    Gals,

Please keep Paprika in your thoughts and prayers.  She needs all the love, support and positive energy we can muster up.  Circle the wagons!  She saw her onc today and the news is not good.  She has a pleural effusion of 500 and doc said it was cancer around her lung.

Her account at BCO has been terminated.  She can no longer post here, but we sure as hell can post to her.  Send her your love.

    Thanks,

    love and hugs,

    Bren

The wagons will circle and Paprika and anyone who is scared, hurting, having personal/financial problems, will be in the center.  The fire will be comforting, the coffee strong, the warmth of caring friends strength.   Going to round up some firewood, chairs and our afghans/blankets.

I want to get a circle of hugs ladies. I have that bad cough again after a few months break. It is part of lung mets. The cough is causing me pain with my rib met. I believe God heals and am so ready for it. It would be nice if something helped this cough. So ladies the circle of love will do wonders I am sure.

Susan, I'm so sorry about your cough and mets.

I also want to put in a word for paprika.  I'm so heartsick about her news about the mets and for having her account deleted.  I am just saddened.

I am picking up my blankets and packing my wagon.    I am so angry and hurt for paprika.  This place is supposed to help cancer survivors.  There are those who would come here and pretend to be something they are not and instead of helping others, seek to hurt.  You know who you are.  It almost makes me ashamed to be a Christian because you call yourself one and you are vile and evil.  I will not stand by as you sully the name of God by doing evil while praising His name.  I am sorry for all of you who missed out on what the real circle was like before evil infiltrated.  What this site was like before people began to use it for their own personal vendettas.  For those innocently caught here in the middle, I am truly sorry.  For dear paprika I am even sorrier.  Someone with mets needs even more encouragement and prayer than anyone.  Yet you hunt her down and hurt her.  Shame on  you.   And shame on BCO for allowing it.

    Pam,

I am so friggin' pissed with the sanctimonious hypocrites on this board and what they have done to Spice Girl. I didn't have to time to log on yesterday at work and my computer at home was soooo sllloooowwww last night. But I was able to read and could not believe my eyes. I don't blame you for not wanting to be here, but as Shokk said, puppy needs you. Just ignore the evil spirits that are wondering around here.

Oh my gosh .. we are fast approaching the anniversary of 1,000 pages.  Such a milestone.  I've been away from this thread for a very long time, but it seems appropriate to be back and spend a little time remembering old and dear friends and welcoming new ones.

    Sending love,

    Bren

(slipping out of my wagon and onto the log by shokk)

Thanks, I think I will have that cup of coffee.  This place has always meant so much to me.  When I lost my son was the worst time of my life.  Having to deal with cancer treatments and that as well nearly did me in.  But there were those here then who lifted me up and carried me through.  I owe it to them to be here to carry others.  It warmed my heart to see you here this morning.  Lisa, send us a new picture today of something breathtaking!  We will be here for each other as it is meant to be.  Bren, so glad to see you.  Can you believe it is almost 1,000 pages?

I think I will sit quietly by the fire, peel some peaches for a fresh peach cobbler and pray for all of my sisters in need.  Special prayers go out for Mena and Susan.  Hoping others will join us here in the spirit of love, forgiveness and friendship.    Pam

Oh my I am not sure what has happened. This is a place for love and comfort and support. Can someone email me paprika address so I can stay in touch. Lets all not hurt any here for our dear bc sisters who have gone on would not be proud of us in hurting others. They were loving to us when we sure were a pain in the butt at times. lol I have been ... God bless all and come over I made a lemon pie.

Hello CGs!  Got room for a city slicker?  I decided to drop by and keep you company along this journey.  I have plenty of logs (or should I say Palm Tree frawns..LOL) for the fire.  Yummy I see we have plenty to eat. Thank you ladies!   How about if I make us a "cortadito" or "colada"?  That will keep us awake throughout the night as we circle our sisters in need.  Cool

When I was growing up this spot was one of my favorite places to

sit and enjoy the out doors...the covered bridge was never used as

it had no road going to it any more...we had to take a shallow boat up

    the brook to get there...

the sounds of nature were everywhere..good spot for a campfire..

Lisa, we have a covered bridge locally and seeing this picture reminds me of family reunions we had at that bridge.  The setting is so similar.

    Have a great day everyone
