I had significant short term memory loss after chemo.  My onc said sometimes it is permanent.

Hollyann .. I can't remember words any more either.  I didn't have chemo, and after 6 weeks on Tamoxifen and a week on Arimidex, I quit both.

I don't have any ovaries and my HRT meds were stopped as soon as breast cancer was suspected.  I think a lot of it has to do with lack of estrogen, age and stress.

It's so frustrating to be talking to someone and all of a sudden you can't remember a word you've used hundreds of times.  It really bugs me.

Or I mix up my words, e.g., beggs and acon for eggs and bacon.

Hope everyone has a good evening!

    love,

    Bren

I have had what seems like a long day today.  Walking slowly around the perimeter to make sure all have what they need.  Friendship abounds in the wagon circle.  Throwing a log of friendship as well as comfort on the fire tonight.  It would be a nice night to sit around the campfire and talk about friends... those gone on and those still here.... to relax in the comfort of knowing we are here for each other.  I am here for you....

Hey Lisa, long time, I see so many familiar names, are they in trouble?  I pray not.  Well we are looking at Oceanside again....

Right now I am dealing with a suspicious spot on my LE arm.  My doctor wants to cut it out next week and I am afraid that I will end up with my lymphedema much worse.  And, on the other side, what is this weird spot?  I need to talk to someone with LE and cutting into a limb with it.

unfortunately I have had skin cancer before and this is starting out just like the last one.  Last time it was basal, I pray for the same this time.  Hope to see you chatting Lisa, I miss you, Sherry

Moving Katie to the middle of the wagon circle, wrapping her in a hugaghan and saying a prayer for her and her family.  Lumps are so scary.

Another quiet day here in the circle.... hoping you are all well and missing hearing from you.  I will throw a log onto the campfire and give us a little light.  A light of hope would be very nice tonight, as well as the light of friendship and healing.   Gather round, lean in... listen to the spirits whispering in the wind.   I will take the evening watch.... hope someone brings around coffee in the early morning...

HollyAnn,  truly sorry to read about your niece Katie.  We will certainly bring her to the middle of the circle and please know that prayers are being offered for this to be benign.  Please keep us posted.  Does she have any scans or a biopsy scheduled?  Yes, to forgetting things too.  Couldn't remember this ladys name at church today, I KNEW IT, and she even gave me a hug and totally lost her name.  It is embarassing - I kept thinking and thinking and finally remembered it about 10 minutes later.  True I  had not seen her in awhile but that shouldn't have made me forget her name/

I am really dreading getting my cholesterol checked now - I really don't need any med that is going to make me gain weight.  I need to get out the door and at least walking now that DH is doing better.

Tossing on another log, is quiet in the circle this Sunday evening.

    Hugs,  Brenda

    Good Evening everyone,

    Lisa love fresh fruit.

Jo - cholesterol check tomorrow - stay tuned.

Bringing all those with test, chemo, rads, just problems of life to the center of the circle. May the company of caring friends, warmth of the fire they keep burning, hugs and prayers offered, give you comfort and peace.

    Evening to the circle,

    Jo, no results today.

HollyAnn any update on Katie as to test or biopsy, etc.

Tonight, lets think of one good thing that came from having breast cancer.  We can share around the fire.   Hot chocolate with marshmallows, fresh baked cookies will be our treat tonight at the fire.

Lisa, What beautiful roses!  Reminds me of a quote..... "God gave us memories so that we might have roses in December."    Tonight I am thankful for so many precious memories.  It is raining here... Putting up a tarp over our wagons to keep us dry.  Reaching out to all of you as we gather as friends around the fire.  God bless each of us the way only He can do.     Good night to all...

P.S.  Lisa,  can you keep that little critter out of my sleeping bag?  :)
