Good morning. Looks like snow tomorrow. I still have my shovel in the trunk. Might have to change into the sparkly booties though. If the visibility is OK I'm still coming tomorrow. Looks like it will be.
Figures I mention snow storm and we get our first real storm this Saturday. Next time I'm keeping my mouth shut.

Elf, I am SO glad that you get to go to the party. Wonderful! You will have a good time and it is good to get away from the kids every so often and have a little time for yourself. YEA! I really I feel bad now that I can't make it to see your shoes! Have a ball! I hope the weather doesn't keep any of you away. Remember, we need lots of pictures!!!!
I have a free day today. I think I should wrap a few more packages so I can get them finished up and write a few more questions. I am still finding surprises that my little boys have left behind chairs, the toybox, and under the couch so I think it might be a good idea to pull things out and vacuum well!
We are going out for a chicken or fish at the VFW tonight and then doing a little shopping for my step-dad. It seems nice to have a more leisurely day every so often.

HI all,
Still deciding about today. With no weather issues it takes about an hour. I am just concerned about the weather and the shopping traffic. I just hate thinking about spending four hours in my car.
Donna, sorry I dropped the ball with the southside ladies lunch. I did not know we had a for sure date, and I ended babysitting for my nephew from overnight the night before and alll day that Saturday. My schedule is pretty open now on weekends, or I am home the week between Chrismas and New Years if you want to do a lunch that week, or even an early dinner.
Earlier this week my hubby had an angiogram and they put in a stint in an artery that was 95 percent blocked. He is doing well now.
Still deciding about lunch today. Hopefully will see you today.

I've been thinking about you gals and your party today as I sit in my office looking out at our snow-covered yard. I hope most of you can make it as it sounds like lots of fun. We got our heaviest snow last night and right now it's just spitting a bit. They say we may get a little more as the morning progresses. How much did you get in the north? I haven't been out to measure, but I'm guessing that we have at least four inches. It takes about that much to completely cover all the grass here in the woods. To those of you who make the holiday party........HAVE FUN!!! I'll be there in spirit.
WendyTY is hanging in there! She had scans this past week but had no results yet when I talked with her on Thursday. Her parents are coming back so she'll have Mom to help her at the house. Her next appointment and chemo is scheduled for Monday so she'll get her scan results then. Let's keep our fingers, toes, and everything else crossed that the results will be favorable.
For those of you who love the snow, enjoy it. Me? I prefer to sit inside and look at it while I'm reading a book. Although I LOVE the holiday season, I don't really like winter in Illinois. One of these days.....................:-)

Good morning! Here up north we only got about 2-3 inches...by the time we hit the road for Schaumburg, streets will be clear - although my immediate roads are already clear - pavement.

Weather update here. Streets are plowed in Schaumburg we have only 2'' and it is letting up. So not too bad. Maybe you girls can take the train and we can pick you up . Just a thought. If you do pm me. Hope to see you all soon. For those not coming we will miss you, and I do understand why...that dam snow belch. For you fashionista's boots are a must today. lol Well am off to pack up the car with all my goodies for you. See you soon.

Oh, the party was magnificent! Thanks to all that put this together. Youir efforts provide great joy. Pictures are coming later (I don't do pictures or we would never have them).
I got to see the veterans and the newbies and actually introduced myself twice to Lisamom of four. Everyone is so beautiful....so beautiful! I suppose some may not felt 100% but everyone was beautiful
The missing people were most certainly missed. I am just bursting with energy because I loved seeing you all and I got out of that family party.....Wendy, don't you dare get that on facebook)!

OMG I am so glad I came. What a great looking group. So many wonderful women. The organizers deserve a hug hand. The party was to short. I could have spent hours talking with everyone. I feel I missed too many.

OMGosh.....I was at the party. I am delighted. Thank you Wendy. While there I was also hard at work at Maggie's. Saturday is the heavy cleaning day there. Had to clean the back yard today as well.....the man who cleans up after the dogs has not been able to come. Also, once I was done had to make a run to Wal-Mart for more animal food.
I'm sure you will all understand....I love Maggie dearly, but once in awhile I do get tired of living so much of her life for her now. It is the right thing to do so I try not to let these feelings come to the surface too often.....but they are sneaking out right now.
I can barely wait to see the pictures.....you'll also understand I know that after I've looked at them I usually discover that I have a huge smile on my face and feel like I have been talking to people. Who knows....maybe I did.....I'm unaware for a while that I'm really smiling so anything is possible.
Glad already to hear about your good time Lago. I know it has to be immensely satisfying as so many are thrilled to have the experience. I'll be very happy when I am able to get up that way and party with everyone.
I'm enjoying some Progresso Chili Soup --- quite tasty and some Keebler Flatbread crackers with olive oil and sea salt......and some chunks of Pepper-Jack cheese on the crackers. Not as good as what you had.....but not bad. I am especially fond of the P-Jack cheese and crackers.
I'll be checking back later. Glad you had a wonderful time. You all deserve it and a thrill for me to know you made it happen.

What a lovely party! A big Thank You to BJ for all her work, as well as the others who pitched in and helped. The room was perfect size, and the decorations were lovely.
I wish I'd had time to talk to everyone, but there's only so much time. So apologies to those I didn't get to, and hopefully we'll have more chances in the future to talk in person.
Thank you to everyone who was able to make it, and to those who weren't, I hope to see you at a future gathering.
