There is a part of you that is perfect and pure. It is untouched by the less-than-perfect characteristics you have acquired by living in a less than perfect world. This part of you is a still and eternal star. Make time to reach it and this will bring you untold benefit.

Yes that turkey did taste good. We're still eating it since it was only the two of us. Yesterday the stuffing tasted much better. My taste buds did change a bit on Sunday and are finally getting back to normal. I think pepper is the issue.

Ironically I decided to make Chili on Monday. Was desperate for DH to come to make sure it tasted OK. The hot peppers really through me off…

Hi everybody!  I am in FL visiting with my Navyson, DIL and baby grandson.  I hope everyone had a nice holiday.  Thinking of you, Lago.  Last year I, too, was in the middle of TX and could not travel.  And I was CRABBY!  Being away from my son was terrible.  BUT....There were so many children on the plane......and it seemed that all of them had coughs and snotty noses.   The youngster that was sitting next to me was all stuffed up and sniffled and snotted the entire trip.   YUCK!  DH couldn't figure out why I was just about climbing into his lap until I explained to him about this sick kid next to me!  I have turned into a germaphobe since DX/chemo.  I am still that way and so is DH.  Always washing our hands.....

Anyway, I am looking forward to our holiday lunch.  Just wishing I had some sparkly shoes.  Seems to be the in thing with the IL BC gals.

Friend do it this way - that is,
    whatever you do in life,
do the very best you can
with both your heart and mind.

And if you do it that way,
    the Power Of The Universe
    will come to your assistance,
if your heart and mind are in Unity.

When one sits in the Hoop Of The People,
    one must be responsible because

And the honor of one is the honor of all.
And whatever we do effects everything in the universe.

If you do it that way - that is,

HI Everyone - Hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving.  I was thinking and praying for all of you.  I had a wonderful day.  Went to my uncle's and then had all the tradical food I grew up with at my sister's house in the evening.  Snuck over to my parent's house in between.  Mom was not feeling well so she & dad didn't make it to my uncle's house.

I am attempting to go back to work again today.  Hopefully I'll be able to work longer than one day.  This should not be a problem since I have no infection and the drain was taken out last week.

PS said I could probably have the breast reduction surgery at the earliest in February.  However, I'll probably wait until March or April.  May try to get vacation in in March if possible. Not sure if work will let me go.

Have done a tone of Christmas Shopping.  Everything got wrappened yesterday.

Hope everyone is feeling well.  Can't wait until the 4th.

    Take Care!

Morning Everyone....just a quick drive by Hi to everyone. I had a wonderful time at the beach with my family and friends. Turkey dinner on the beach watching the sunset was amazing and soooo relaxing. I am so grateful for my wonderful family, great friends and for everyone here on this board. I hope you all had a wonderful day. I did come back with noseeum bug bites all over. I did get them on my left arm so had to wear my lymp sleeve for a few days and wore it flying home. It worked to keep the swelling done but not the itching. lol

Just wanted to say hi..off to the shower and work. Have a great day everyone.

Remember to be healthy...be happy and enjoy life.

    Hi everyone!

We had such a great Thanksgiving with my son and his family.  They didn't leave until Sunday so we had lots of time to play!  We all went to the movies Saturday afternoon and saw "Megamind."  I had more fun watching the expressions on the kids' faces than I had watching the movie.  We also went to Chuckee Cheez.  We passed on the pizza but spent an evening playing the games.  Grandma was a "good tired" when they left!  :-)  Now I'm regrouping today.  The frig needs restocked and the laundry has piled up.

I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving!  BJ....it sounds like you had it made, eating turkey dinner on the beach!  :-)  I can't say as I like those no-see-um critters, though!  A few years ago we had them on the golf course and they made life miserable!  I hope your itching has stopped!

Carolyn, I hope you have a good day back at work!  I have lots of my holiday shopping done, too.  I like to get it done early so I can enjoy the seasonal activities.

Marina, that picture of Gab is adorable!  She's already one year old......WOW!  I hope she enjoyed her party.  Like you, I have been cheating quite a bit on my diet.  I don't think it hurts to cheat every so often.  I just need to gear back up and get back on it for a few more weeks before all the Christmas parties hit!  It's just so hard!

Connie...so great to see a post from you!  It sounds like you have been a very busy gal!  Busy is good and I'm happy for you!  Keep enjoying those kids!

Well I'm off to get something accomplished today!  Hugs to all of you!

Good morning...now that it is 11:31 a.m.  Morning started early for me with having to take Chico to the vet clinic.  Overnight stay as it is time for his 2-day injections for heart worm  He has a very mild case, but I did not wish to wait.....thought it would be easier to get this done now.  Then back home for breakfast, downtown for some bills.....and to the feed supply store, and now I've a major load of laundry going.  After that, I'll go to Maggie's....get her house done, her animals fed, and bring her old dog Monya home to be bathed here.  She has old age hair and skin so needs lots of baths. Don't have the old fashioned kind of hose attachment to use Maggie's tub to do it.

Sounds like you all had such a great Thanksgiving.  It is a special day isn't it?  I think it helps set the tone just about right for the start of the new year fast approaching.  Also, grounds us just a bit as well.

Had a bit of rain here already and probably more to come.  As well, I think it will bring snow, but possibly not too much.  This would be good.  I'm not totally ready.

Hope you all have a pleasant day.

    Hugs, Jackie

It's not the snow that's the issue. This New England gal knows how to drive in snow. It's the rest of the Midwesterners on the road I worry about ;-) Remember its amateur hour on the roads on the weekend.

Granted even I am scared of black ice although I do know how to try and negotiate that too.

Hey Ladies, I am not cancelling yet. But know that with the weekly Chemo on Wednesdays, my saturdays have been spent in bed out cold. Doesnt bode well for Christmas as it lands on a Saturday as well. Waiting to hear from Ade, if she can drive I will go. Love Onward

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.  We went to my sis-in-law's house along with pretty much the entire family.  Had a wonderful time, but I did enjoy having some quiet days at home, just hanging with the DH and kids.

We managed to get most of the Christmas decorations up in the house and outside.  I find that I am putting less and less out each year.  I keep thinking about all the unfun work it is taking it all back down.  The tree is still in the box, but we have to wait until the DD comes home again to do that.

I was scheduled to finally get my 2nd Zometa this Friday... so of course, I get a toothache.  I never get toothaches!  I looked in my mouth and saw what looks like a black decayed spot on the side of my furthest back tooth.  Srsly?  Now?  I think I've had 2 cavities in my whole life!  So then I panic that it's, of course, that Necrotic Jaw thing starting.  I called my dentist's office and they got me in on Wed. afternoon, but more importantly, they looked it up and told me that one of the 2 cavities that I had... was in that tooth.  So I probably just had that filling fall out and never knew it.  *WHEW*  I felt immensely better.   Called my onc about getting the tooth refilled and he said he wanted me to delay the Zometa for at least another month.  No problem there.

Also, scheduled my breast MRI for next week.  I will be happy to get these things over with and get on with the holidays.

Looking forward to seeing everyone (who can make it) at the party.

Lago, if it snows, is the train an option for you?  There's a station in Schaumburg and I'm sure picking you up wouldn't be a problem.

Rita - How was Megamind?  I want to see Tangled, but I have to talk my DD into seeing it with me.  She's not much for animated films anymore, but I still am.  LOL

Jackie - I'd love to see the bigger version of your icon picture.  It looks adorable.

Onward - I hope you're feeling up to attending the party.  If you aren't though, don't push yourself.  There will always be more get-togethers.  Taking care of yourself is the priority right now.

Thanks so much for the offer but lets see what happens. When I mean snow I'm talking about serious downfall or dangerous driving conditons. Couple of inches shouldn't stop me. So far:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Saturday

    Light snow
Snow, sleet or a mix with some accumulation possible before tapering to flurries. Breezy. East to northeast winds 8 to 18 mph and gusty backing more north to northwest later in the day.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's still early in the week so we know that can change too. I do plan on being there. I might not wear my sparkly shoes in the snow though. Small heel. I could slip.

Good morning everybody.  The little puppy I am holding is named Ratley.  Miniature Rat Terrier that my friends got a few short years ago.  Unfortunately.....the breeder ( must have been the back yard type ) encouraged them to take her too soon.  So --- she had terrible upsets every time Ray and Gloria wanted to go somewhere.  She cried for hours and was inconsolable.....feeling total abandonment.

They finally had to find her another home with some people who had a dog just like her.....she has gone on to have a very happy life.  R & G still check on her now and then.  This is the type of breeder that should be out of business.

Snow expected here today but I don't think it will be serious.  Too much moisture in the air for the most part.  Last of our leaves are down.  We are so tired of it all....we may just leave them.

Hope you are all going to have a great day.  Hope your tooth is fixable Rene.  Talk to you all later.

    Hugs, Jackie
