Good morning Beach Angels.  The week is almost over and just a few more days until our trip to Aruba.  Faith, please make sure the baggage handlers are VERY careful with your luggage.  ;)

FPAngel -- please let us know how your doctor appointment goes when you can.

Reading back I see I missed a special song request.  So, Wings even though you can't hear or see this, this is for you

    Mustang Sally!

FootieAngelFriend: Know that I am praying for your doctor visit and we will have a big party down on the beach for you -- when it gets accomplished. It's amazing all of the "energy" we have to put into these appointments, isn't it? I'll be asking for answers and relief from your pain. I hope that you feel listened to.

Margo: sending you patience for the waiting game. The trials of the process. Been there. Done that. Know that we all hold you in our hearts while Joe's story unfolds.

Thanks Jaz for getting our MustangSallyWings girl some special attention. She rides like the wind, we know. Don't know how we managed in your absence?

Iris, I'm sending you a warm greeting to start your morning. So happy when you're here among us -- keeping us organized, but understand if you need to take a break periodically. Hurry back to us when you're able.

Amy, what's happening down on the farm? Is the newest kid being welcomed into the tribe? herd? pack? pride? what do you call a family of goats anyway?

Sahalie, I'm getting more excited by the hour -- as our departure nears. Keep on shrinking our friends into mini-sizing and i'll squeeze you all into my carry on!!

My DH "announced" last night that he's not taking golf clubs, and that he has no intention of communicating with his office..... that this is gonna be OUR vacation. So this is a first in more ways than one!! Our first tropical island. Our first real getaway. (Most of our vacations he works for 5 or 6 hours a day, via laptop.) This will certainly be more togetherness than we've had -- ever, come to think of it.

nEEsie: hoping that you're "enjoying" your new clients, that you're getting all ramped up for your DD's graduation -- how incredibly proud we all are of her accomplishment. I'm working hard not to feel like a slacker, just knowing of her perseverance is motivating.

Beach buddies -- you need to help me remember to give nEEsie her beach birthday party...... i'll be packing and my brain will be dribbling from my ears about then. So I'm appointing the following workcrew assignments:

cabana boys: organize all cabanas with surprise gift bags for all atttending the party: sarongs in matching colors, oversized hats, the newest of bifocal sunglasses etc etc.... and stock up on sunscreen as we'll be frolicing most of the day

Mario: please check on all catering supplies with Sahalie, she will fax the menu later today. i'd like some fresh crab cakes as one of the hors d'ourves. Margo will have additional suggestions & consultations. Please be advised to double whatever liquid refreshments they select, as we will all be thirsty.

Iris: could you be in charge of the cake? You have such flair when it comes to cake selection.

Wings: how about you get the table top decorations in order, maybe you're kiddos could help create some sand sculptures.

Susan: I'd like to assign you to the super-surprise entertainment we talked about earlier. I'll have my best camera ready to capture the look on her face.

Jaz: could you work out a proper blessing for the occaision?

What else do we need? This is just to get us thinking..... we have till Saturday to find the frisbees, and hula skirts. Sahalie, maybe the party would be the perfect opportunity to practise the water-skiing number for the fourth? We'll all be together and in good spirits!

I'd like to volunteer to ride the ski-doo with Mario and hold the flag.

Jasmine - THANK YOU I really needed that song this week. And WELCOME BACK we have missed you!

    To All my beach friends,

I have been hanging out at my lighthouse where it is peaceful and full of hope.

I logged on earlier this week and choose not to partake in the ugly shark attacks going on at the beach.

That's not my style or who I am. So I folded up my beach chair and headed up to the lighthouse on the other side of the beach away from all the negative comments.

I was so sad to see our Happy Beach in such turmoil.

I was on another thread reading about a dear sister named Blessed4 - Angela who was denied a wish to Disney. I thought to myself ..... we should all be fighting for Angela to make this wish happen not fighting with others on the beach.

Somewhere along the beach I felt we let each other down and we have some wings to mend.

I would like to rejoin the Angel beach and "look forward to seeing good friends and meeting new ones."

    Beach Angels

I hope you have a stellar day.  Remember that there is nothing that can happen that God can't handle.

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
    He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
    Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

    Good morning beautiful Beach Babettes.

Wow what a glorious day in the neighborhood today.

    Good news abounds.

Wonderful friends are cracking me up then I scroll down and what do I see but the precious little wee ones and I swear I can smell that wonderful fuzzy baby head smell that makes one Ooh and Ah and take a moment to enjoy it.

Thank you Faith for those fantastic pictures.

My heart is filled with the sight of them, the smells of their little fuzzies and the smells of our fragrant flowers here on this most wonderful beach thread.

Wings,   100% agreement.  It takes a village and we are a loving supportive village who happens to be so lucky to be on a beach.

A beach we can share, care, support and find joy in days of scares, appointments, wondering concern, the not knowing till the phone rings.

We are here for one another.

Yeah,   I feel good.  You all are the best ever friends.

Love, flip flops, always remembered Angel's and the here and now.

    Good night all.

It's been a hectic day to say the least.

So much going on with summer time trip coming up plus guests who want to be guests so that means extra fun and extra cleaning.

I can do it.  I just keep praying for our delicious fog to come in to cool our days.

It shows up sooner or later after a few days of this blasted heat.

Have a great day tomorrow and healthy happy future to all the wonderful friends who have blessed this beach.

Sweet dreams and new flipper floppers.

I wish you each Peace and Love.

hi lovely ladies on angel's beautiful beach, and thank you to one of you for waving at me to come over to your beach to meet you all. I spend time, in my mind, at my favorite beaches in the world which are the rugged beaches in Big Sur, California where I spent a lot of happy time in my young adult life scrambling up and down the rocks.

Big Sur beaches are not for the faint of heart-----they are difficult to access, rocky, cold, and kind of unforgiving like the powerful Pacific Ocean. But these beaches are spectacular, so cosmically enormous and yet very spiritual and calming at the same time.

i also love this beach that you all inhabit and find it so poetic and tropical, with such wonderful smells of fragrant flowers like you have described, and such wonderful people.

i tried to post a pic of my beaches in Big Sur but couldn't do it so will try another time to post them.

i have on my flip-flops, am i in time for the party??

Good morning beach buddies!! It's almost noon here & I'm just waking up. I SLEPT LAST NIGHT!! Marathon sleeping. Deep sleeping. Rejuvinating sleeping. Recharging sleeping. I may start-weeping- sleeping. Oh happy day, sleeping. What a blessing!!

And I don my flipflops and travel here to see the perfect blue sky, without a cloud at our beach today, to find such happy news.

Footie!!! Hallelujah!! It sounds like you have so much encouraging news. I'm so glad to hear about your skooter, too. You'll be zipping down here on our boardwalk -- right next to the splashing sounds of the waves.

CELIA: I love you already. Welcome to this place of wonder, where we work hard to craft poetry and imagery into our greetings of one another. Where we work hard to carry each other's burden's thru beach play -- lightening the load along the way. Welcome!! Welcome!! We are delighted to have your heart-felt energy come to enliven our beach. Can't wait to see your pictures.

Iris: I'm sending you strength to travel back to our beach when you're ready. It's frightening to see a storm here -- when we're used to things being so serene. I sense a another calm front and have heard the weather forcast for smooth sailing ahead. Get your bears and let's have a picnic.

WingsGirl: Know that I'm always sending you energy for the joy you bring to the children. Thanks for always tending the light in the lighthouse -- you'll guide us thru any rough weather. I know that you need extra serene scenery and we'll work hard to restore it.

Jasmine: Thank all that's good that you're back -- with your psalms, your prayers, your technical prowess and all that is uniquely yours: from fashion sense to hand holding. I'm behind on listening to my songs for the day, but I'm so grateful knowing I'll be able to go back and hear them -- even after the fact.

Amy: hoping you'll have the time and manufacture the energy to pop in with a quick update on how you're feeling.  These little babbeez are just starting to genuinely "smile" when you speak to them. It takes my breath away to see their antics lately. I know you'd be recharged and filled with hope, just watching their recent accomplishments.

Sahalie: To be a genuine guest in your actual home..... does one need to be royalty? I'm just picturing the redwoods and I get all teary eyed at your foresight and wisdom. What a treasure we have in you, dear friend.

Margo: eagerly awaiting the news for Joe. Please pop in when you know something, or when you don't for that matter. We are all here sending you strength in the waiting. You've really had a lot to handle recently and I hope for a repreive from all the health concerns.

nEEsie: Are you feeling more wisdom? Are you having new insight as you approach this milestone? We're gonna be celebrating on your behalf, even if you hardly have the time. Can't wait to hear about your DD's graduation and the festivities of that incredible event.

Susan: glad to have you being productive. Gives me a good role model to aspire to for on down the road. Right now I'm a beach slug and grateful for the opportunity to be one.

Well peeps. I noticed that there are about 10 times the number of views here at our beach, as there are posts. It makes me aware that there must be skads of folks who "read-along", taking in the tranquility and support here. So I send a happy greeting to our reading friends and wish you well today, where ever you are in your own journey. Please soak up our sunshine and our frivolous daydreams as you travel thru your day. Hope that we bring you a smile with our imaginations and fun-loving spirits. Feel free to stop by and plop your toes in the cool waters.

As I contemplate going to a tropical place, I realize how much I have gained from walking here together along our coast. Thank you friends.

    hugs to each & all

A friend from work just gave me a nice crockpot pulled chicken recipe.  I'm not sure how easy you would say it was but she shared some with me and it was delicious.

    Ingredients:

    • 4 boneless chicken breasts
    • 2 red peppers, chopped
    • 1 tbsp brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup ketchup
    • 1 tsp dry mustard
    • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 tbsp chili powder
    • 2 28 oz cans tomato puree
    • 1 tbsp white vinegar
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Method

Brown chicken breasts in hot oil and place in crock-pot. Add all other ingredients to crock-pot. Cook on high for one hour then reduce to low heat for 4-5 hours. Cool chicken then pull apart with two forks.

    Good afternoon Beach Angels!

I've been MIA for a while.  Life has been hectic.  One of my co-workers passed away, in April, and I've had to take over her hours.  My DH also got laid off, so I haven't been in the mood to post much.

Faith, the pics of the little ones are adorable.  Enjoy your trip to Aruba!  My son was there and he loved it.  We went camping with my older son's twins.  They are 4 ys. old and camping is their new favorite activity!

Amy, yeah do we get pics of the goats???

Sahalie, I always enjoy your posts.

    Hi there Jaz!!!

Hi there Susan!!!!  How's work?  I hope you're not working too hard!

I'm at work, so no time.  Sending Angel hugs and beach baby kisses to all.

Biker, Jan.... soooooooo great to hear from you.

Sorry to hear of the hectic nature of work, brought on by loss.... and also of your husband's employment situation. Life is full of challenge isn't it?

You were so helpful to me in the last months of DD's pregnancy. Thanks for your well wishes, now that we're into the "work" of having fun with them.... it's amazing to think how far we've come.

Hope that there is a rainbow awaiting the end of this storm for you. Please take care of yourself in the midst of all that you are juggling.

Good morning beach loverlies and new wonderful beach babes.

Jan and Celia, I am so happy to see you!

    Welcome with open arms.

My sail lost it's wind yesterday and I'm searching for a nice

breeze to put the wind back in my sail as I drift up and

down the shoreline of our most beautiful beach.

Seeing you each here today is definitely a breath of FRESH air.

Jaz, dear Jaz, Keeper of the light while Wings is on a break.

Your recipe is out there yummy looking.

    Faith,  wonderful writer and songbird.

What will be do while you are in Aruba?

BikerJan, I send you my condolences regarding the passing

    of your co-worker.

I am soooooo HAPPY to see you here!

Celia, How fantastic to see you here.

Please get comfortable and check the beach shack.

Actually, both girls need to check the beach shack as you

will find a brand new pair of flip flops specially marked

for you and a hand painted Polynesian beach towel

created and silk screened by Mario himself in his amazing

    workshop on the hill.

    Welcome to you both.

It's hotter than Jalapeno's here today and have been

watering fiercely to save my beloved green anything

    that grows.

I learned years ago to not mow the lawns in major

hot heated days and to let the longer blades of grass

protect the ground and hold the moisture so my lawns

may look a little unkempt at the this week but at

least they are super dooper green.

I think I feel more breeze coming up as I talk to you.

    I love this beach.

    Foots

    Wings

    Amy

    Iris

Waving hello to you and hope to see you dancing barefoot soon.
