Mom - tinyfisy takes the most amazing pictures. I really like the sunset he took in Mexico last year.

Today I was watching a humming bird and all I could think of was, "How does HE get those pictures?"0

I put up a couple dozen pictures tonight on my blog -- of various shots from the summer, that never rated a post by themselves. I can't seem to cut and paste them here, like I usually can and now it's too late to keep trying tonight.
Will see if I can transport some of the water-ones tomorrow.
Safely in OH -- here till the end of the month, well kinda-sorta.

My little Sony camera jammed up and died yesterday I think it had too much beach action sand and salt is hard on a camera.0

Yikes!! I'm nervous when I take my 'spensive camera away, too!

DH Has his wrapped in plastic bag whenever he is not using it.

I worry about condensation!! I've avoided winter shots because of that. I wonder how to acclimatate a camera...drive with the windows down in the winter? Otherwise, when I get out of the car, the lens would fog up. What does your DH do?

The plastic bag seems to solve the condensation problem he also leaves it outside on the balcony but wrapped for about 20 min before taking out into humid weather.

Oh my cant believe that I have been online for 2 hours.Time to hit the beach before it gets too hot out there for my walk.0

MUM thanks for the fantastic shots! When does the book come out?
When we've gotten water into our cell phone (dropped in pool) the tech told us to wipe it dry and set it on the dash of the car. Guess the heat helps to dry it out - also to put it in a bag of rice... Maybe that would work for your camera's. Just a thought. We also have to think about the sand in the camera here... I just try not to use it on a windy day at the beach. Sand gets into everything then.

Good evening ladies. We're at our trailer down the shore, one of our last weekends. We close up end of October. It was sooo gorgeous here today, a postcard fall day. Not a cloud in the sky and temps around 65-70. Didn't go down to the bay, had work to do around here, so this is from the archives When the mosquitos aren't bad, the sunsets at the bay are my favorite thing in the world. Here's one of them.

Lovely, get ready thought because a cold air mass is headed your way...it passed throught most of the west coast and is now over CO

Lisa, we had 40's last week! It's up and down and all around the town for this area every spring and fall, kind of what I like about where I live actually, the unpredictability. Except for the depth of winter, then I hate where I live

Mariegal...................I'm jealous, you got to go to the shore this weekend........we closed up, winterized the house, and shut down the pool.......................once school begins my usual partners in crime don't go down anymore, so we just say "over".........but your right, when my husband was alive (so long ago), we went down all the time, and fall was heavenly............we would even go in the winter.............we never closed down, but those days are over, so I'm just grateful for the time I do get to spend there........................you still have a few more weeks, so enjoy yourself, and take a walk along the "bay" for me..............nothing prettier then sunset on the Delaware Bay............I'm only a walk from it..............hugs.

Ducky, I will walk the beach for you, and every other woman here who covets our beaches but doesn't have one of her own ...we HAVE to meet up, you and I !!!!!!!

Marlegal, that picture is STILL worth posting this year!!!

Samsue the rice in the ziploc bag really works good for a wet cellphone. After a pool accident I left my touchscreen phone in the rice for about 4 days and after that chared it up and it was fine.
Today the weather here is still good but our last day here tomorrow is supposed to be affected by hurricane Jovi. Should be an interesting flight out on Tues.

Mum, hope the weather doesn't get to bad for you. Really windy here today... 38 mph.
Marlegal, this could be a dumb question.... but, why do you close up the house for the winter? Do people quit going to the beach then?

Just found this thread. I LOVE the beach! Spent my summers on the Delaware Bay and Cape May beach when I was young. Still go there for a few weekends at least every year, would love to have the time to spend the whole summer there again. I am crazy though, I love it in the summer with the crowds. Never really wanted to be there in the fall. Too lonely for me. DH prefers it in the fall. Definitely a case of opposites attracting.

Thanks samsue, those are adorable! Much nicer than any of mine. I just will have to keep them away from my DD (she just turned 14)! Or maybe get her her own pair.
