Thank you Joni. I've been worried too. I'm one of those who has not gotten involved with face book so don't see anything about our sisters that isn't posted here.

Hello all - thanks so much for the concern. Happy to report that our home in PA had no issues at all, and our place in the campground at the Jersey shore had minimal damage - not us at all, just a few neighbors with very minor damage. Our campground has a lot of wetlands from our back to the bay and they definitely saved us. That and the fact that our condo assoc tries to "encourage" every (344 owners) to keep the trees on their lots storm-proofed so they actually protect instead of harm. Seems it worked well for us this time around. When you stand on our bay and look to the right, you see homes in an area called Reeds Beach. We can literally walk there in one minute... we see people on their decks - we wave and they wave back! This is an example of what many of the homes in that area looked like on Wednesday. It was the rare home on that road that didn't have damage. Seconds from our campground. It's so very sad, but an opportunity for the rest of us to count our blessings.

Wow, thank goodness you are ok Marlegal! It is indeed a mystery as to why random natural acts pound some places & spare others; I'd imagine the power of prayer has some say in it, although I know good praying people are subject to catastrophe as well! It's the month of thanksgiving. Lots of us have lots of thanks to give. Stay safe & healthy!

Joni, I feel exactly the same way. Strange huh, that you and I should agree? What a rare occurrence!! lol
Thanksgiving indeed. We're doing a walk tomorrow for ALS (family affected) and both my dd's and their hubs, and my grandson and grandpuppy are coming back here afterward. My 39 year old niece is fighting ALS, having watched her Mom (my sil) die in 1991 from that awful disease. Yet it brings us together each year for a walk on what is usually an incredible fall day. And tomorrow I get to have my bosom family come back here after for brunch. Life is twisted, but often good, and that's what we have to grab onto and hang tight for as long as we can.
xoxo

chubba - love the pics, as usual. Thanks for sharing.
Glad everyone is safe, although I have not heard from DesignerMom in quite a while. I miss her and if I thought I could make it up there I would go find her. Just not sure what conditions are like for her. She lives in NYC. AJ

I can see chubba's pictures but they will not save as a desktop background. No problem saving Lisa's and it is not my new background.
Off to see Barb in the morning!!! Woohoo!!!! So excited I probably will not get much sleep tonight.
Hugs to all, AJ
