If you mean dessert, here you go (if you mean 'go to (the) desert', I'm stumped! )
Red, White & Blue Cake
1 stick on butter
1 can of cherry pie filling
1 bag of frozen blueberries
1 box of white cake mix
Pre-heat oven to 350. Melt stick of butter and set aside (use wrapper from butter to butter a regular 13x9 cake pan).
Pour pie filling in cake pan, add frozen berries & spread evenly.
Sprinkle dry white cake mix over fruit, covering it.
Drizzle melted butter on top.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Serve with cool whip or ice cream.

These recipes look tasty and easy. My kind of recipes. The following is a quick hot dip I serve with pita chips or crackers. If you have any leftovers, warm it up the next day and you can put it on potatoes. This is definitely not lo-cal but what the heck.
Hot Artichoke Dip
1 cup of mayo
1 cup of grated parmesan cheese
1 minced clove of fresh garlic
1 small jar of quartered artichoke hearts drained
Cut up the artichoke hearts. Mix all the ingredients together. Place in oven safe small dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes

Ruth..as a desert dweller whose dessert recipe binder is 3 times that of all others, I'm blaming it on brain fatigue (a made up diagnosis, but I like it)

maybe we need a new thread!
I have tons of recipes...here is an easy one, Indian in origin, which I got from my sister and which a friend actually included years ago in a cook book of recipes with five ingredients or less (not including salt and pepper, though in this version I cheated and added spices...). Tastes great at a summer bbq with grilled meats, or with an Indian curry...
Kachumber Salad
two or three cucumbers, peeled, then chopped.
one red onion, chopped
three carrots, peeled and chopped
a cup of sliced cherry tomatoes or two chopped slicing tomatoes (or some of each)
Mix veggies together, then stir in about a tablespoon of sugar, a tsp. of salt, and a tablespoon of ground cumin. Add a dash or two of ground coriander if you have it. Taste and adjust seasonings. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
It is best if you make it about an hour before serving and let the flavors meld a bit.
