Dom and L - what beautiful pictures!  LOVE seeing the new you in your new hair!!!  I'm also 6.5 mo and I just have 1"...I'm not complaining because everyone compliments me (even tho I have ginormous ears) and NO MORE hats/scarves/wigs!!  I think I'm going to keep it short.  It is soooo easy compared to my shoulder length hair that was so thick it took 20 solid minutes to dry.  think I'll post a pic we took last night and you can see how short it is.  oh Marie- love the Poof.  I have one too...its on the top left.  Yours?

Ruth  love your hair.  I think I'm going to keep mine short too....and blonde.  It was coming in gray and I am not ready to go there yet.  I used a dark blonde temp color so the gray roots blend in.  It is just nice to have some hair.  I'm 3 1/2 months post tch and mine is about 1 inch long.  Fillng in and getting really thick though. libray lil

Hi ladies, you all look gorgeous.

Marie, your hair look so healthy and strong and thick. Lucky you.

    Dominika, you are beautiful women.

I am 5 months out and have good coverage. My hair is soft and silky (it was that way before) and it looks like it is starting to curl as it gets longer, especially with foam in.

MBJ, your hair looks so thick and it looks like you have more than a full head of hair. I am using Rogaine, too I have it in spray and it makes my hair greasy. I usually wash my hair, put foam and then at night use Rogaine. Do you use one with spray?

Maureen ONE MORE TO GO YEAAAHHH!! Good luck tomorrow and treat yourself to something really good to celebrate the end of chemo! Your hair will really start pouring in after the three month mark. My onc told me that and at first I didnt believe him but it was true. I actually just had my first real haircut to style it and eliminate the mullett.

    Have a good day everyone!

I had to chucle today.  Went to visit my folks - my hair is about 3 inches long now but very curly.  My mom was concerned that maybe they gave me too much chemo.

Char that is too funny!  Too much chemo = too much curl!

I guess she would have been worried too if your hair came in straight - not enough chemo?

I've started to lurk on this thread.  Carrol inspired me yesterday to post on this thread for others who might still be waiting for their hair to come in. These were taken 6 weeks & 3 days after my last chemo last week. I have since cut off all the long strands.

     back of headside hair

back top of head  left side

I just think this one is funny. You can see me in the mirror trying to take the photos. Not a great photo of my hair though.

Still hoping it stays straight. I'm disappointed though. I thought I might have the Sinead O'connor look by St. Patrick's day. But the thin on top/front, more gray and the extra loss of lashes and thin eyebrows I'm afraid I will be sporting the Steve Jobs hair cut.

Lago, you have much more hair than I did at 6 weeks. I will try to find them and post them.

I had a lot of thick hair to begin with so I just might have more hairs naturally.

I am taking biotin and using women's Rogaine once a day (sometimes I skip).

Hi all,  I have a question, where can I view pictures that all of you ladies are talking about? I can only see them if they are posted on these forums. I never completely shaved my head so I have lots of longer and shorter peices, very attractive! I think I see very fine white or blonde hairs in between what didn't fall out. Is this the first step in re-growth?? I had 4 DD AC and will have #9 Taxol on Wednesday. I'm so anxious, as I am so afraid it well never come back! Thanks Randi

Dominika you look like that cut is SO on purpose....you look gorgeous in pixie!!  I'm sure you're anxious to grow it in, but that cut is nothing less than beautiful on you!

Wow, yes way more hair than I will have at 6 weeks too!  I hope I'm normal, because I still look mostly bald at 5 weeks pfc now, but there is growth.  I wonder if the type of chemo has something to do with how quickly it comes back.  I've heard others say that Taxotere tends to make hair grow slower.  I had 4 rounds of TC.  Anyone else notice this?

I had 6 rounds of Taxotere and Carboplatin. Still doing Herceptin and now on generic Arimidex. When into chemopause too.

I was expecting slow growth because I heard all those things can slow things down. Not the case. I think it just depends on the person. My hair always did grow fast.

Lago - why are you using rogaine and what part of your head do you apply it?

I'm using to get my hair to grow. I use it on top and temples. I had an issue with the temples thinning prior to BC. Stopped using during chemo but started up 3 weeks after my last tx. You can see it's a bit thinner on my left temple than the rest of my head. It is coming in though but very sparse in that area.

I was on T/C x 4 every three weeks. Last chemo Sept 30, nothing until Dec 15 when I received first zoladex inj.

You can see at 6 weeks I had very little hair. I am using Biotin and rogaine, too.
