    here are two links:

    1. In this video she uses a lot of products on her hair, the wrapping part starts with "step 3" in the video. She sits under the drier but who has that, so I just dry it with a regular drier or air dry. The foam I use is proclaim, it was cheap at Sally beauty and works better than a mousse, which I also tried. You will see that once the hair is molded into shape wrapped and dried, it comes out with no volume and shaped, all you have to do is comb and style as you like. http://youtu.be/pYHlMHYpOUQ

    2. This is another one, this lady has a ton of videos on styling short hair into different looks, most start with the mold. http://youtu.be/c4fyLKp-b98

    Hope this helps!

Lorbgoo, You got some beautiful curls!! That is the longest hair I have seen for 1 year PFC. Was you hair straight before?

thanks all. I did have curly hair before so I think it will stay that way. I straighten it most of the time.

This is the top of my head at 17 weeks Post Chemo. It's is growing faster on top than any where else. I think it will be 3 or 4 months more for a purposeful haircut! It looks like it may be curly?

Well I messed up !! My hair is coming in and its at a point where I might be able to get away without wearing my wig...but its all gray. So I was going on vacation this past Monday...and thought it might be okay to dye it with a non permanent hair color..the one that comes out in 28 washes...how bad could it be?? Well, it came out orange...yes orange. And I used the same color I used all the time prior to being diagnosed. Just not permanent color. So I had to do something, went back to the store and got a darker brown...now its dark orange... Can't go without wig now! Any suggestions with haircolor??

maybe because it was all gray? I will go when I get home from vacation. In fact the girl that does my hair said she would come to my house to do. I am still no where near being able to go without my wig so I have some time. Just would have been nice to not have to wear it on beach!

def the grey! That's how people get that vibrant color by bleaching out their hair and putting on semi permanent color. Oh well I'm sure it's a pretty orange. In this day and age you'd fit right in actually lol.

I did some research to find a salon that used hair color without a lot of harsh chemicals. The salon uses Tocco Magico an Italian product that uses mostly natural ingredients and only a small amount of ammonia. My hair was significantly grey/white. It came out lighter than I would like but had good coverage and I am able to go out without my wig. Next time I'll ask her to go darker. The dye did seem a lot milder as I did not get that tingling burning sensation, I've had in the past. Good Luck everyone.

I wonder if dying you have your hair grown in grey the answer is to dye it brown (or dark) first and then lighten it?

definitely the grey. Mine turned kinda a orangey color but wasn't noticeable because I'm not all grey. I would go to a professional to see if she can help you. Enjoy your vacation

I first used medium golden brown...well I guess the fact that I was all gray and "golden" made it turn orange. So the next color I tried was medium brown with something added to reduce brassiness. Dark Orange. So now that I am back from vacation, I will just wait for it to grow a little longer and go to the girl who does my hair and have her fix it. Thanks for all your info... Would have been nice to go without wig while on the beach..but I managed. It wasn't so bad, guess I am that used to wearing the wig. And I kinda like the idea of no blow drying !!!

ThinkingPos-- mine came in all gray also: I did get mine done at the salon where I got my wig. She said I could not go red ( my natural color is strawberry blond) because it would be orange. So it is more like a light brown: with gray coming in at roots.

I still wear a wig: I am waiting for it to be over my ears so I can decide on a style.

Question: my hair is down to my ears, and of course flips up. I am training the bangs, top, to be straight and flat (curls are NOT good on me)

It flips up all the way around the ears, down to my neck, where it also does. any suggestions for keeping it straight?

    thanks all

Tobycc...your hair grew that fast?? How long did it take? I finished chemo Feb... and its about maybe 1 1/2 inches.. doesn't cover my ears and hardly any bangs... maybe covers 1/4 inch of my forehead if that.

Kath, you may want to look up hair wrapping on you-tube. I was trying to find the one I watched but could not find the link. I do recall as a tweenager with naturally curly hair and a shag haircut in the 70,'s putting on a sailor cap after washing my hair and sleeping in it, this is a similar concept but more adult version.

It involves combing hair smooth after washing applying a foam or setting gel and wrapping then setting under a dryer.

I am impressed with the growth of your hair. Hope this helps.
