    Looks great Steph!! Smile

Question for those of you taking Biotin, - what dose are you taking?

I am so disappointed in my thin wisps of hair. If I could look more like myself it would help a lot!

Steph, you look lovely! My aunt has been hoping for your color for years and is frustrated by her salt and pepper hair. Of course you are getting compliments. :)

A friend who has just finished six months of chemo for a recurrence of ovarian cancer now has about an inch of straight (lucky her!) and dark (even luckier!) hair and is also getting lots of compliments from people she doesn't know including "Where do you get your hair done?" She's not knowing what to say besides "Chemo salon!"

Biotin - taking 5000 mcg per day. I really believe it has done wonders. As an aside, I have a friend who isn't a cancer patient and was told to take Biotin to try to heal her splitting nails.

I take 5000 mcg of Biotin daily. I can't say it's done anything for my hair growth but my nails are doing good, definitely stronger than usual. I was going to stop the Biotin but my PS happened to say that Biotin is good and that it strengthens hair... So hopefully my hair might not be growing fast but it will be strong. ????

I am also taking 5000 mcg per day. I don't really know what it is doing, but I take it anyway!! My hair does seem to be thick, what there is of it, which is encouraging since I have read that taking Arimidex causes thinning.

Peachy, "chemo salon" is amusing. Someone asked me, "Is that your natural curl?" Umm...

Thank you everyone for the compliments! I love the "Chemo Salon"! I'm going to use that next time I'm asked. Good Luck to all of you that are waiting and watching for growth

Those of you who posted photos are making me jealous! Winking

My Biotin 5000 mcg (the kind that dissolve in mouth) doesn't seem to be helping much. Sad

I just finished DD ac/t & am wondering if the soft peach fuzz I have will fall out when the new hair comes in or itwill turn darker. I am over 1 week pfc (love saying pfc) and see a few dark tiny hairs at my hairline & top, but lots of colorless white fuzz on the sides and back. Anyone who had ac/t can comment on their hair regrowth timeline. I am taking pics weekly, but need some early encouragement and knowledge of what to look for. Thanks!

Shopgal, Love your name, :), Anyway, be patient! I was just like you......climbed up on the vanity to see the back of my head every week. It was (is) slow going, or should I say, "growing". My peach fuzz just kept growing.....did not turn darker. My hair has a lot of gray (white) though......sort of salt/pepper. Interesting, I have not really seen my natural color until now, having colored my hair for many years. I am am 5 months PFT and have about an inch growth. I have learned I just have to be patient and accept it. Sort of like going through chemo.......only this is A LOT better! Be happy it is growing.

I take SportsResearch High Potency Biotin, 5000 mcg everyday. Got it from Amazon. Does it help? I really don't know, but it doesn't hurt and is perfectly safe.

Hang in there! You are not alone!

Shopgal2, I also had AC + Taxol (4 of each) and am six weeks PFC. I now have a mixture of peach fuzz and 1/8" dark and gray hair. My head looks like it has a 5 o'clock shadow! My last eyelash under my right eye fell out this week, and I'm still losing eyebrows too, but both are starting to sprout a lot of new growth which is encouraging. (The eyeliner and brow pencil will have something to hold on to!) Hope that helps!

8 weeks PFC. Coming slowly but filling in quite good. I'm thinking 2 more weeks and I will be rocking the Sinead look. Maybe it will be long enough to dye as well.

oh my gosh thanks all for letting me know what to expect. Waiting for my hair to sprout is like I'm waiting to open my presents. I know I just gotta be patient but I've been waiting sooo long. Thanks for the compliment aabout my screen name. I picked it because I love old movies esp the original shop around the corner. Plus I do like to shop. Hahha.

Sunshine how did you guess i was climbing almost into my bathroom sink to snap pics of the back of my head? I am now blind as a bat thanks to AC but still can't see in a magnifying mirror. Peachy love your name too!

Dee wow I'm blown away that you are 8 weeks and look amazing. Beautiful. Your brows are great! You ladies give me hope.

Shopgal..you and I continue this journey together. One day PFC and I'm ready to start counting my bristles. I'd ignored my head for so long but now I'm obsessed with it. I must remember to take regular photos. I think I'll skip the leaning over the sink and have hubby do the back. He had the honour of buzzing me and yet can't tell me if any has come back. Yes, the ever observant male syndrome..lol

My eyebrows are very sparse. I have them filled in with pencil and brow gel. I have managed to hang on to my lashes so far. From what I have read those could fall out yet.

I did shave my legs this week. First time since August. I would have been ok withthose hairs staying away..

Dee, I can only hope that my hair will look like that at eight weeks! Will take a lot of growing between now and then to get there (5.5 weeks PFC now...)

Dee - Amazing! You look great! I can't believe how much hair you have at 8 weeks!

Molliefish - Viking Blonde! Love it! That speaks to the tenacity of the grey ones!

Dee you are my brow superhero . I really need to practice more on filling them in. Off to ulta tomorrow for brow gel.

Ok, here's mine 11 weeks pfc. I did not have as much as Dee at 8 weeks! In hindsight, I think I should have shaved the grey stragglers before hair grew in since they were longer than the others. I just got my brows done yesterday. I finally had enough hair to shape them, but they're still thin on edges! Nevermind the high arch; I was concentrating on getting enough light in the picture. Haha.

BEST tip: use pomade on hair after showering so hair lays flat and is nice and shiney. I used my husband's Crew brand pomade.

italychick - well, not that close, but on my way. I'm leaving on a month-ling trip in April, and I'm hoping I won't have to take a wig! If hair grows 1/4- 1/2 in a month, HOPEFULLY I'll have 2+ inches and can pull off the Jamie Lee Curtis hair style!

Sloan, Looking very chic, I think your ready to ditch the wig at any moment. I started wearing hats most of the time around week 12. About week 16, I had enough to color and didn't look back. I did wear a lot of hats particularly because it was the summer.
