Heavenly Father..I don't understand right now and I need your guidance. I lost my husband of 20 years yesterday..He is my rock, my heart, my love. I know that it is part of a Much Greater plan than mine. How do I go on with stage IV and my heart shattered? Why was he called home before me? I am Praying that you please help me and our family get thru this. And thank you foots for all of the continued Prayers. Prayers for all that God's loving touch eases all of our struggles!

a lot of what is going on around us dosent make sense,we think that we couldnt bear the pain and our srength fails us but somehow the life goes on ,and we manage. i remember that soon after my mom was diagnosed with brain mets i ve told her that my life without her would be over ,that i wouldnt live a day after.yet it has been a year since she s gone and i m still here ,she is still here. i still talk to her ,i feel her inside me,her presense just took another form. and now with everything going on im my country ,facing death every day ,death of children and youth,you cant imagine that anything good would come out of this grief, but i would like to think that those who left us,wherever they are, are watching over us, in our pain and worries,so whatever we have to face we will face it for them and with them. you will make it,believe in that.

Terry, I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I am watching the coverage of the horrific shooting at the school in CT and one of the grief counselors said simply that there are some things we can never possibly understand. I don't understand why the Lord would take your husband from you so unexpectedly. I do know that your story (and all recent tragic events) are important for us to contemplate and meditate upon. There is a Plan, as you say. Our hands are not on the steering wheel. The best thing to do is to let the universe unfold as it will. I believe that it will unfold with or without our input and there is a sense of destiny for all of us. This has helped me understand the loss of several close friends in the war who left behind beautiful young families and were full of life and promise. I was filled with anger and the endless circle of "whys" and "what ifs" and it was intensely destructive for me and I could see how loss could easily beget more loss. I finally had to let it go.
