    Heavenly Father, Please be with all the new and scared, Fill

    them with hope and courage, For I know You will be by their

    side through it all. Bless all those that are hurting and need

    Your comforting love around them, May they feel comforting love

    around them to help them rest. Be with all those going through

    chemo or other treatments, May Your presence feel them with

    You strength, Your peace and Your grace. Guide those that

    are going through surgery, May they feel Your hands guiding

    those doing it. I know You are their provider, today, tomorrow

    and always, And You love them so much. Please be with all

    the wonderful stage 4 people that are in need of Your comfort

    and help in any challenges they are facing. I lift them to You,

    any others You know that are in need. In Jesus name. Amen

    In today's service, our paster reminded us of the power we are given when we speak, and our ability to listen to God's words, and how we act on it plays a big role in our emotional wellness. When he prayed over me, he asked me to forgive those who had let me down, and also to forgive myself for my own sins. And also for healing.

    Thank you, Father, for walking with each of us. Amen.

    I havent been to church since the week I was diagnosed. Something inside of me made me get up and go to church today :) There was a message waiting for me and I need to share it with you all.

    The pastor mentioned how at times we may question God and ask.... why me, why right now. Some people give up and never speak to God again and curse God because of the tragedies and challenges given to us.

    The pastor expressed respect for those who question God because we ALL do it at some point and we would not be being honest if we didn't admit to it. We wonder when will our pain have an end? This is normal.

    However........

    Our paths are given to us because God has chosen us for a divine purpose and journey. It's very hard to see now, but everything, our diagnosis, surgery and treatment is a part of our path in life. And it is serving as a testimony in some way or another.

    I pray that even in this hard time of being diagnosed, going through treatment or medication that we remember how our lives are being used for a MUCH larger purpose.

    And like 27heart said, our actions, words and thoughts play a role in our emotional wellness.

    May ALL the members on this site find positive energy and thoughts this week.

    they will feel Your arms of comfort around them. As You guide

    and walk with them. Bless and give strength to all those going

    through chemo or other treatments, Feel their hearts with peace

    and their body with strength. Bless and comfort all those that

    are hurting and need You comforting Spirit around them. That

    they will fill peacefulness. Give peace and comfort to the stage

    4 people that are facing challenges, May they find comfort and

    feel Your love around them. Bless all those here that only You

    27 Heart- Wonderful testimony. I have been in church my whole life, but have to admit my prayer life was lacking. After being diagnosed in August of this year, the shock and anxiety forced me to my knees. I had such a hard time coming to terms with this cancer and it was only the prayers of my church family, biological family, and many friends that brought me through the darkest time of my life thus far. A friend of mine who had brain cancer about 20 years ago said to me "Give it to God.....and STOP taking it back!" That really hit home because that is exactly what I was doing. I heard a powerful sermon on a Christian radio station that spoke about our path in life being already known by God, long before we walk it, and to stop worrying every step of the way. As a chronic worrier, this was such an inspirational message for me. It hasn't been easy. I still find myself trying to take back all the worry I thought I had given to God and "take care of it myself", but this doesn't work. Jeremiah 29:11 says: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God bless and prayers to you.
