That is a beautiful view. Well Okla has been on fire for 2 days now and hopefully will be fire free by tomorrow. It is not a pretty picture.
Some towns were so smokey you could barely see in front of you and the smell is something you will never forget.

Wishing a happy easter on the mountain, may have to hide some easter eggs.
Wish I had some chocolate ones right now.

Hello Mountain, I hear the birds singing, the flowers are coming up, the trees are budding out and everything is turning green. What a spring.
the smell of the honeysuckle vines is unbelievable. There is so much beauty and such wonderful oders in the mountains.

Hello, mountain, feeling sad on the mountain this morning. Thinking of all the friends and family I have lost to this beast cancer. Dear God, please help there be a cure found in 2009. I know they are in heaven, pain free and happy and rejoicing but those here on earth have a strong feeling of missing them although someday they will welcome us at heavens door. My imagination is not strong enough to even imagine the beauty that God has waiting for us. We each have our own place prepared especially for us.

Oh, hey Spar. Sorry you're feeling sad today. Thought this might make you feel better. Went to Silver Dollar City last week and took this pic at the Glass Shop. I started to buy it, but it was a little out of my price range. It's pretty, though. My DH DID buy me a glass angel (pink) that one of the glassblowers was making for BC patients. I'll try to post it too.

Here's the pic of the glass angel. He was making some with hair and some without hair. My DH bought one WITH hair:) I think she's beautiful!

Thank you Coonie, the picture of the windchime and your beautiful angel did cheer me up. We go to Branson about every 3 years and have watched the glass blowers but everything is so out of my price range but oh so beautiful. That angel will be a cherished momento forever. Love Branson and the magic shows and all the music and love table rock lake. When we drive up we go through Eureka Springs which is the neatest little town with some really neat shops, haunted hotels, and mansions, and winding narrow roads. It is just beautiful. thank you so much for posting these things. It did cheer me up.

I did look up Sara Maitland and she sound fasinating. Would love to meet her and have got to read her book A book of Silence. She went many places and did many things to observe silence and talked to a lot of people who are alone all the time. Got my curiosity really going with this one.
