Sorry cj. But give it time to see where you are. You can always tweak. Or twerk if that's what you want to do! LOL. But you can get them worked on if you need to later. Lots of those on this board had some adjustments done.
My foobs are not perfect but compared to where I was two years ago I can live with them. I could have them tweaked myself but I had so much trouble getting to where I am I'm not touching them except for any real problems. Well that and getting my nipple tatts. One of the ladies on another board was telling us she was sitting and watching the ripples on her chest for fun. LOL. I probably have some too because I have saline and those are more prone to that. But the other thing is I have more fat cover as well.
BTW, I saw my P'S today. He released me. I don't have to come back unless I want changes or anything goes wrong ( no, no, no, not gonna happen!!!). So i just continue healing until I will get my tats maybe for my 60th birthday. If I do that I may get a pretty tat too! LOL. Much love.

Moon - YAY on your release! That must make you feel so relieved! Congrats!

Yay moon! One less doctor to see! Are you thinking about getting the nips tattoo'd, or a different kind of tattoo? I've always wanted one, but never could decide on one I'd love forever. Maybe dog paw prints?

Saw PS PA today. Everything is healing well. Left, rad side, is soft but still higher than right. She put me in a stabilizer strap to encourage the left to drop down. Still having hives. It is now on the sides and down my upper arms. Gone from the front of my body. Hope this means it is working it's way out of my body.

Andrea, glad everything went well for you....
My PS is always is always saying to me: STOP FLEXING!!!
I told him, can't help it even with my arms glued to my sides, they flex.
See him next week...for 2nd post op 4 weeks out nips/fat grafting.
(Medicare denied my PS for his creation of nips ....hope it is a mistake!)

Andrea--So glad you are feeling better! You mentioned that your surgery yesterday involved cutting out a lot of scar tissue and replacing the implant with a slightly smaller one. I went back a few pages but cannot find the details of your previous posts regarding the reasons for the replacement of one of your implants. I am wondering what your situation was in that you had one of your implants replaced?
I had my exchange in July and I still have "iron bra." I am going to see my second opinion PS in February and then in March, I am going to see the PS who did my reconstruction but I am thinking that my implants are just too big for my pec muscles to handle or possibly the pockets are too large and gravity is doing a number on my pecs. I feel like my chest is wrapped in shrink wrap, covered in duct tape, and that someone is trying to rip off the duct tape all at the same time. I have done PT and continue to do the exercises at home eveyr night. I am even getting some Graston massage/myofacial release therapy which has helped my arm and shoulder from the ALND. I look good in clothes, but I have constant discomfort so I know that I need to do something. I saw the second opinion PS last October and she wanted me to give things some time before she would even consider surgery. My original PS did nice work appearance wise but, I am so uncomfortable and he doesn't really seem to comprehend that.

Lori, I had a lot of discomfort and tightness on my rads side. There was a large bulge of fat on the upper pole, and it was very noticeable, even in clothes. PS said he could lipo the fat bulge, and recommended a smaller implant. I had this done yesterday, and the tight feeling is gone! I hope I heal well with no issues, cause rads puts me at a higher risk for slow healing and infection. So far, I'm very happy with the results. Before the revision, I'd look in the mirror and almost cry cause it looked bad. Today I feel more like myself than I have in a long time.

Elsie - So sorry you still have those damn hives, but maybe the fact that it's gone from the front side is a hopeful sign... Good luck with the strap!
Andrea - I'm glad you're feeling so much better than before. Heal well!

Elsie hoping you are going to continue to feel better. Andrea I'm glad it seems to have worked for you. Lori I hope your consult has a plan for you. Di, I hope your insurance is just a little blip.
I want 3D nips. Then as long as I'm there I Might just get a cool tattoo as well.

Moon - I've (secretly) always wanted a tattoo since college but could never decide on what I could live with the rest of my life. What are you thinking about getting?
0 -
I've just started thinking about it. I'll let you know when I do. LOL
0 -
I'm holding you to that...

Tina, I thought of that too, and questioned them on it. Do you have any problems with tightness? Also, I was told the alloderm is long gone. It grows into your existing skin and strengthens it.

I plan to get the 3D tatoos with Vinnie.....with or without my hi/lo nips....which are now a size large/lo and size tiny/hi.
but I have a hi/lo foobs, and a fat ridge above my cancer "scoop out"......need one more surgery..... (
I have tatoos.....permanent make up.....eye liner....they needs a touch up, it has been about 15 -20 yrs
also lip color it is fine, just lick my lips..."instant wake up lipstick"....lips tatoos hurt soooo bad!

goldie - I had pretty significant tightness right after my MX when the TEs were put in. My PS put in 350cc of saline on day one and I was pretty uncomfortable for several weeks. Fortunately, it subsided. I've had other issues and healing problems, but I've never been in pain throughout reconstruction, for which I am so grateful. I have SeriScaffold, which is a new support matrix material that is used in place of Alloderm.

Di, I don't think I could get lip tattoos. Ouch.. Besides I get chapped lips so often I'd chew off the color! LOL

Good morning gals..
Two questions..Whippetmom, you have an easy answer for #1..please chime in
#1) What really is the bottom line in who should get High profile implants vs. Moderate Plus? I understand that width is a factor but what about long torso vs short torso, broad shoulders vs narrow and small rib cage (27") vs larger (31") ..what about those factors? I am scheduled for e change on 2/17 and he plans on Mentor HP but I worry as I have a wide sternum that the width won't get me enough fullness between my breasts ( cleavage). I also have alot of space from my clavicle to my top of breasts.
#2) I do alot of lifting at my medical device job, how long did you take off? I was off for six weeks after bilateral MX. I want these girls to stay in place!!!
Thank you so much ladies, I have no idea where I would be without you all!!!

I had my revision done on Wednesday. I felt really good the next day, but now feel like hell. What's up with that? The area he lipo'd is sooo sore and my breast is swollen. For some reason I thought after my great second day, it'd be easy sailing. Guess I'll be resting up for a while. I've decided I'm done with surgery. I want to move on with my life. PS thinks I should have nips done to make me feel more "whole", but honestly, I don't need or want them. Maybe tats later. Lol, how about tats that look like dog pawprints?

I dont want nips either. Pointless to me. I was thinking 3d tatts and now Im thinking of one cool tat, especially since it shouldnt be too painful, if its on the area with no sensation.
0 -
Aviva, that's what I'm thinking too. Any idea of what kind of tat you'd want?
0 -
Aviva and Andrea - I'm a no nips gal too. Can't see the point of building bumps that have no feeling and then having to give up going bra-less. If I do get tit tats I'll probably go the 3D nip route.

Roses? ala Grateful Dead? ok Im aging and typing myself, but there ya go. Ive always been afraid of tattoo pain, so dont have any. But am thinking this might be the time.

Aviva, I am a huge chicken when it comes to pain. How ironic that I choose a revision, as I'm sitting here counting down to my next pain pill. I've always wanted a tattoo. But my daughter, who is quite a bit like me, had one done on her shoulder blade and told me she almost threw up at the end from pain. Now granted, she had a rather large lotus blossom done, but still.... Bwuck, buk, buk.... (My chicken noises.)

Andrea - do you have physical sensation where you would get the tats? My breasts are totally numb all the way across to a good 1/2 to 3/4 inch above and below my incisions so I don't think tats would hurt at all for me.

Ladies I have 3 tattoos and to be honest the pain was not too bad at all. Heck if your worried about the pain take some of your leftover hydrocodones from your MX

Hi ladies. I've been trying to read back to get some insight from your experiences. I have my reconstruction next month. Will be exchange in the left and lift, lipo and implant in the right to match. My PS strongly recommends saline, but I am leery of them. Anybody have a good experience with Saline? Thanks so much for your input!

Correction! My PS recommends SILICONE!
