Fairy49 - Just checked out your new nips - FABULOUS! I just found out last Friday that I'll get mine next month - same procedure, I think - so you've certainly given me hope!
Okay, ladies....I'm here to provide a chuckle for your morning...... Actually, I think I'm next in line for the EC "stupid move award" LOL.......... Here's the scoop: my left implant has apparently succumbed to the dreaded "falling off the ribcage" scenario. Not completely sure why, but probably had something to do with not being supported soon enough due to 8 days of drains, a ribcage that naturally slopes on the left side, and who knows what else. Anyway, my ps has been concerned about it since I got my drains out. A couple of weeks ago, he suggested I put a gauze pad or small push-up pad in the outside area of my foob to see if it would help push it in. I've been doing that, but it has not helped. He said he'd decide on my next appt (12/1) if he'll do a revision on that side when he does my nips - something I'd really rather not have....... So.....silly me decided if a small push-up pad is good, then a bigger one would be even better.......remember that in Texas bigger is better!........ Well...last night I put one of those water-filled push-up pads (from mt pre-bc days) in my bra before I went to bed last night. When I took my bra off to shower this morning, the whole lower left quadrant of my foob was purple - I bruised my foob!! I guess I had it so squished inside my bra, but since I don't have much feeling didn't know it! Luckily, it's almost gone now, so no harm done, I hope. I think I've decided that I'll just deal with having that revision when I get my nips done........

Firstmate, What did the doc say about your red tattoo? Hope it wasn't an infection. I've only had a few little pencil dots of blood and virtually no scabbing. I was very faithful about icing them for the first 24 hours.

Val the things we need to look out for as we have no feeling in our foobs (lol) well glad it all turned out okay might be a good idea to get the revision done.

Double or Nothing - I decided that I did not need to go back to the doc. It is starting to heal now, less red and less oozing - but there are parts of it that are very tender to the touch and forming little scabs. I am going to give it a few more days.

Fairy49: I am going to check out your pics - I just posted mine today as well ... I had a heck of a time figuring out the sizing of the pics, so I apologize for the huge image. sue

WHAT BRA SIZE WILL I BE...Ok I need an opinion. I am expanded on one side to 650cc. I lost the other expander to infection and it will be replaced. I am 5'3 and chubby. My ribcage under my foobs is 41 inches around. I know its somewhere on here but I can't find it. What size am I likely to end up. From reading on here my implant will likely be alittle bigger. I was a very full D when this started. I want to be a very full C or nice D when this is done. I would be happy with a very nice C. I have been a big bra all my life and it always seems the cutest bras stop at the C cup size. Besides I can never wear those cute matching panties and bras. So a nice full C might fit my body fine. Also as a chubby woman, will I lose size when I lose weight which I was doing very well with before BC started. Now my focus has been on fighting this and just eating healthy and maintaining my weight. I had a latissimus flap done if that helps. Also will my breast feel as heavy. I could never wear the bras with plastic attachments as they broke, I had to wear wide band over the shoulders and still had indentations from the heaviness. PLEASE HELP

Laura--I want you to know that you and Deborah have been my inspiration lately!! Deborah has answered some questions for me recently and I really appreciate it. I had exchange surgery July 31 and am scheduled for some clean-up (lipo and fat grafting, dog ear clean-up and scar revision) on November 19. I have my pre-op with the PS nurse tomorrow and Deborah gave me the courage to ask for bigger implants. I look like mine have flatten out and one looks lower than the other. I wanted to be a full C cup and I am nowhere near it, although B cups are too small. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that all goes well at the PS tomorrow and that he can replace them along with all the other things scheduled.
I am wishing and praying for your healing........quickly!!!
Kathy

Sandy - I know what you mean about keeping up w/ this page.
Pam/Dejabo - Wow! SOmehone I missed that you had a surgery scheduled at NOLA! Congratulations and all kinds of well wishes are going your way!!
Sue - I would be mortified if my kids saw my pictures, but then, they are 21 and 25, so that may be why. Anyhow, I got a smile thinking of what you said!
Laura - Sounds like things are at least a little better. Hugs my dear.
Lorraine and Sue - I will go next to check out your pictures!
Deborah - I hope you surgery was all your wished for! Hugs to you too!!!
I am off travelling w/ business for a few days. You may need to PM me if you have any surgery dates to be added.

Sue and Fairy49 -- Boy, you ladies are looking good! So natural, what a difference.

OMG I'm on the list! Not sure if it is you, MyKidsMom... if so, thank you I feel honored to be included! I have one correction though: when I saw my PS last week she said she uses silicone (I apparently misheard her re: saline the first time I saw her; she said, this time, that she rarely uses saline, in fact) -- so I will be getting a silicone implant (not sure yet which kind... will know more later). I guess with so much info flowing into my brain I got that wrong. I am glad, based on all I've read it sounds like I'll be happier with silicone (will look at gummies but also the other kinds as well). Tomorrow I go to a breast reconstruction seminar at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC (where I will have my surgery). I am an information junkie! I figured I'd get a chance to feel a sample of the different kinds of implants and in general it would be a good thing. If I learn anything useful I will let you know... though somehow I think this collective has already got the important info down.
Cheers,
Lilah

Laura---I'm glad you are going to be OK. I bet your eyes respond quickly to the drops.
Deborah--Hope you are feeling well and that you are pleased.
Hot Girls---Lorraine and Sue.
Lorraine--You'll get a giggle from this. My son read for some film and then took off to Santa Barbara for a few days--and forgot his phone. Came back, had been offered the role, but they didn't hear from him so they cast someone else. His FB page now says "Lesson number 1 for new actor, don't go anywhere without your phone, Lesson number 2 don't go anywhere without your phone." Poor guy.
Val--Really, you are so funny the way you tell your story! I hope it works out the way you want.
Jan--Thanks for asking--shoulder hurts enough to make me cuss, waiting for results from Saturday's MRI, I just want an answer so the PT, or whatever specialist can take care of it. Can't pull my pants on, the list is too long. I know my doc will call tomorrow, while I'm at a conference the next two days giving talks--how am I going to shake all those hands?
Welcome Liliah!
Good luck tomorrow, Don23, softness awaits.
Hugs--Karen

So glad you are doing better. I would never trust my DH to buy bras for me especially Vera Wang....LOL....I just bought a Vera Wang nighty. It is kinda see through but not. It really shows off my foobs and nipps but hides the scars. I took some pics with it on so I may post one with nipp updates....can't wait to see your pictures...

Deb thanks for sharing the great pix of you and Val : )
I hope things go well with your fat grafts
After my 1st exchange I had surgery on Wed or Thur and went back to work on Monday
If I remember right for my 2nd exchange I was able to work it out to get a whole week off.
Which was even better. I think I waited 4 months after my exchange to have have nipple done.
I didn't have a lot of pain with my exchange surgeries just felt very tired for about 3 days due to being knocked out I think.
NAE if your asking if your PS can move your implants closer than what your TE are now that usually can happen.
Judy way to help out the she TE & etc...
Deen do what you want...I don't think my hubby wanted me to have my 2nd exchange but I'm very happy I did...
Laura happy to hear your doing better and you even have better boobs than Vegas lol : )
Pam happy to hear you'll be having surgery soon. I hope the best for you whooo hooo

KEW, I am glad that you will get some answers soon. I hope you don't have to shake too many hands, you could seriously reduce the number by sniffling a little and making a statement that you hope it isn't the swine flu.. . . . Bummer about your son and missing a job. I bet that he won't forget his phone again.

Firstmate,
I hope you'll call your tattooist or doc tomorrow. You said you had no itching from healing because you didn't have feeling in that area. Now you have oozing & pain. If you are experiencing pain, whatever is happening must have traveled out to skin and tissue that has sensitivity - past your tattoo area - yes?

Wow....I see there are three pages of posts I need to catch up on tomorrow.
I am back from my drug-filled slumber. I told the anesthesiologist that I always wake up in severe pain from general anesthesia, and he made sure I was pain free this time. Of course, that meant I would not know anything about WHO picked me up [it could have been Brad Pitt, for all I know] or HOW I got to my sister's house, or WHY I woke up looking like the Michelin Man! I kid you not - I am wrapped in a suit of armor - a plaster casing, along with about forty or fifty thousand layers of gauze from under my armpits to my belly. I look and walk just like the Michelin Man. But I am feeling pretty good, considering the PS must have used that lipo wand on every single area of my lower body, looking for fat!
I will read every post tomorrow and chime in as needed.
I love you guys...thanks for the prayers, good thoughts, well-wishes and for your love!
Deborah
