Rebecca: You have the Style 45's - 800 ccs, right? Cannot wait to hear back from you after your doctor's appointment today....

Yes the style 45 I will have DH take pics when we come home.

Paula: That is a very good price for the Freya Pollyanna. You will need a 34D in that bra.

Will chime in briefly here. Paula, buy that Pollyanna for those times that you wear an underwire - it is such a comfortable bra, and I have two of them. I also agree with Deborah about the Natori bra - it is also an underwire, but it is even more comfortable than the Pollyanna, and I've got two of those. The Natori gives me a nice little vavoom effect. I'm with Val, money spent on good bras is money well spent.
Val, you crack me up. When you discuss bra fitting, you sound so scientific. Even though you are not a doctor, you sure play one on this website and I have learned so much from you (same goes with you, Deborah)
Congrats to Rebecca, Mirbelle, Susie and Jizogarden! The pain gets better every day, and you will love dressing them up and dressing them down.
OK, am in a public place, so time to sign off - can't check out the picture forum, although I really want to...

Kristinka - Why thank you! Before you know it I'll be doing surgery.....just kidding.... Our foobs are pretty much miracles of modern medicine, so they should be treated with the requisite scientific respect.....lol.....
Paula - I think KristenPink had a wireless pushup she liked.....I'm trying to remember the brand....Lilly of France maybe? I do think the Pollyanna runs on the small side, both on band and cup - do you guys agree, Deborah & Kristinka? That's good, though, 'cause you want it snug. It's not a bad idea to try a couple sizes though - just adjust the cup size if you change the band size.

Hi everyone, I had my exchange surgery yesterday (4/28) and am feeling great. Had my surgery at 1:30 and was in the car going home at 4:30. Even though I'm all padded in a surgical bra, I can tell my foobs look much more round and normal with the silicone vs. the saline implants. Took an oxycodone last night but have just had x strength tylenol today. Wish all the upcoming exchangers good luck and hope you have as easy a time as I have.

Yes, Freya runs small in the band and the cup. Natori tends to run small in the band. The Natori is indeed very comfortable. It is my "everyday" bra and I have it in three colors. Those of us with the Freya Pollyanna, Eleanor, Darcy, Arabella, etc...know it to be a bra that really encapsulates or keeps the implants positioned right where they should be. It keeps them from migrating laterally and separates the implants in the sternum area. They just happens to be drop-dead gorgeous to boot!

I do not visit/post on Exchange City because it has gotten so big.
Laura wanted to let all of you know that I had 3-D tatts by Earleen done on my recon nipps/grafted areolas. The nipp recon was done on Aug 09 and the tatts were done on Monday April 26th. They are still healing. I just posted pictures on the picture forum.
Yesterday was my 2 year anniv of my Bi-lat MX with immediate Lat Dorsi flap recon. I thought I was done but I decided to have color added so now I am FINISHED...and in the words of Laura.....wahooooooooooooooooooo wahoooooooooooooooooooooooo wahooooooooooooooooooo

Okay, so I went to my local JC Penney and decided that my local JC Penney sucks! haha! They had the Warners Elements of Bliss that was recommended but the only D cup sizes that they had were 38-40 band size! They only had 2 wracks of Warner bras at all. So I ended up getting a Ambrielle Smooth Revolution Wireless, I tried to remember all of the rules that Val said, but it is kind of molded, padded, whatever, which probably means that it is lined, which she said not to get... but the Warner's Elements of Bliss were similar....I did end up getting a 34D and I think it fits pretty good, I may not fill it out all the way to the tip, but enough so that it doesn't scrunch under pressure! I did try on another brand (don't remember what, wasn't worth remembering) that wasn't padded or foam or lined and I didn't fill it out at all! It was just all saggy and sad looking. So, I bought the Ambrielle, I figure it's good enough for now until my Freya arrives and it was on sale and I had a coupon! Gotta love the coupons!
Anyway, while I was in the dressing room trying on my bras and other clothes, there were 2 ladies in another fitting room nearby and they just cracked me up... they were mother and daughter (daughter was probably in her 50's) and they both had a southern accent and they were trying on bras and it was all I could do not to go over there and tell them how to size a bra! A month ago, it wouldn't have phased me, but now after my bra sizing 101, it cracked me up. They were trying on like 40B and 42B and just couldn't figure out why one fit different then the other and oh I just so wanted to see what they looked like. I'm sure they were probably in the wrong band and cup size. They were funny though, they weren't trying to talk quiet at all, and they were discussing everything!
Okay, so I am ordering the Freya Pollyanna, it is only available in the cream color and they don't have any of the other styles that you recommended at all. After trying on the cheaper (no as well made) brand and buying the 34D (although I have to say that I would've went to the 36 if you hadn't talked about needing it to be snug, because it is snugger then I normally would wear), what size do you think I should order in the Freya? I was just going to get the 34D, but do you think I need the 36D since you said the band sizes run small or am I getting that backwards?
Thanks everyone on the bra advice! I have a feeling that I'll become the next bra queen, I tend to become obsessed! And Deborah, I will definitely check out VS for a vavavoom look! I do have those nearby!

I am weighing in on the bra discussion here. My PS said only underwires that fit, otherwise non-underwired, which in a 40C or D (depending on manufacturer) is not easy to find. I did get several from the mastectomy store that were not underwired and three of them are really comfortable. One even has a lace cami effect and another has black lace over a nude color which is quite nice and another is flowered and feminine. These are by Rita and Ameona. I went to SOMA the other day and when the lady put me in an underwire there (my old worn underwires are ok, but cup is too big), I thought I would go through the roof. The wires hit the undersides of the implants where I had just had steroid shots for inflammation. I did end up with two nice wireless unlined ones. My husband commented that he noticed the nipples ever so slightly showed through my shirt and he was really pleased. Said it showed I was a "lady" (not! LOL) and that it was nice to see them. My original equipment was really lacking in nips and therefore I think he was pleased with the size of the new ones. Just hope they don't shrink any more. PS says they should be stable now. I will try to check out the Freya bras next. Now to find a swim suit with support for water aerobics is next challenge (that is one that doesn't cost as much as my new breasts have). I just keep wearing sports bra under my old suits.

Paula - Try the 34D if Whippetmom says that's your size 'cause you want this one snug. You can always wear it on the loosest hook for awhile....and honestly they stretch out pretty quickly. My ps had me put the 30 on the tightest hooks when he first put me in it and I thought I was gonna die for about two weeks.....sorry....don't mean to scare you. Now it's like nothing..... Remember, if you go up in the band size, go down in the cup size. A 34D is equal to a 36C in cup size. The unlined bras are hard to find - and they're pretty much all underwires it seems. For the wedding, definitely go with vavoom, but for everyday try to find one that's just lightly lined. The Warner's bra that I mentioned is exactly that - no padding, just a thin lining. It's what my ps put me in after the dressing came off before my drains were out - underwire would have occluded the drains. There are several styles in the Elements of Bliss collection - the one you want is the "Two Ply Wire Free Style 1003. You might have to find it online.
Okay.....I've really got to get some stuff done.....like choosing my son's senior pic for his announcements....I'm SO far behind!!!! Check in with y'all this evening.....

Paula, where can you order that beige Pollyanna - I just have two black ones, and I'd love a beige (esp at that price). I think a 34 should fit you fine - I am wearing 34s in all my bras, no matter what the manufacturer, and Freya isn't that much smaller around than the others.

Linda -- wahooo!!!! Thanks for posting

Kristinka, I ordered it from Dillards, it was on sale and it is actually more of a cream/off white color, but can't beat the price! I think the sale was through May 1st.

Paula, is this an online order? If so, can you post a link? If not, is there a number I can call? We don't have Dillards in CA... thanks

Hi,
I got my exchange surgery on Tuesday April 20th, and ended up coming home with 2 drains. I was a little uncomfortable with the drains the 1st day, but with vicodins each day, it helped for the rest of the week. The drain was right under my armpit, so it was a bit uncomfortable whenever I move my ams. Thankfully, the drains were out the following Tuesday. I just got back from the PS for my follow up visit today to take out the sutures. He said that my right implant is a bit lower than my left one, so it looks a bit uneven. He said to press on my left breast that is higher 4 times a day so that hopefully the implant might move down to match the other one. He doesn't guarantee that it will move, but he said to give it a try and to see him back in a month. If it doesn't move, then he will have to do a revision.
My concern is that my implants are textured. It's Natrelle style 120 - 500cc on both sides. My thinking is that if it's textured, it's probably more stuck to the muscle tissue and won't budge like if the implant was smooth instead. I tried to press down on it and it hurts. What do you guys think. Do you think it will move down to it's pocket? Has anyone have this problem before where the implant is uneven and later on, it dropped down and became even on it's own, or do you have to massage and push down on it. I'm kind of bumming because, now I might have to have another surgery to fix it. I was hoping this would be the last surgery.

Hey Rebecca! Here I am! Welcome to the 800 club!
YES THE 800s CAN LOOK SMALL!
I woke up telling my PS I was flat chested! LOL he patiently reassured me many times I was NOT!
It took going back to the store and trying on the bra I tried on while my TEs were full expanded and comparing it to my implants to believe I was not flat! That and seeing a picture of me from a distance in a restaurant....
I love these gels and each day they change a litte more. Now that I am back to work and normal life I am using my pects and wonder what effect they will have on my girls.
Delilahbear - I went bra shopping so many times and what I did was keep picking up bigger cup sizes and holding the wires up to my implants until I found ones that fit AROUND them... I made sure that the wire was under my armpit enough to not poke on my implants.
Then trying them on was difficult too because I would not realize how the placement of the wire in my center of chest would feel after a few hours. I have decided to go with very short rises on the center wires and will not buy a bra if it is over 2 1/2 " tall.
It is all about how tight you want your bra band... I like mine snug so I would never get the 40 or 42 that people were trying to put me in. What feels comfortable to me ia 38 or 36 if I lose more weight... right now the 38 is as tight as I can make it but will be too loose for me soon so I know to go for the bigger cup with the downsize of a band.
At Macys & Dillards they have a line called Luneire - prettier bras for bigger sizes.
I wear a 38DD but could also fit a 36DDD the styles do not leave a floppy space in front where the nipples are missing on me. They also had a Whimsey bra that was pretty & fit so I got that one too.
I returned so many bras even after wearing them for a few hours. Keep your tags and receipt. Most places allow 30 to 60 days for returns.
Everyone else! big Yippee Squishy Hugs for all!
Hope surgery goes well and prayers for good test results!

Well thank you Kimberly I just got home form the PS she assured me I am not small. My DH said they look good when he saw them. I still have the drains maybe we will take them out tomorrow I am in no hurry since I had seromas last time. Well the incisions are alot smaller I am not in a sports bra of sorts and I am banded to remind the girls where they should be.
I will post after I shower and get a better look.

Been awhile since I have been on this thread. Just wanted my name put on for 5/18/10 for new NIPS. I rescheduled from 4/30 to 5/18 because of work related issues. Met with my PS yesterday to talk about the procedure, but also more fat grafting to get these beauties to look even better. Blessings to everyone. Mary

***Did I miss the post where Kitty filled us in on what happened with her biopsy?
Lilah and Bra conversation: I too cannot wear an underwire under the law of the land. My push up is a "Lilly of France Value In Style Light Lift Wire-Free Push Up Bra". Yes that is the entire title of the bra. You'd think I was buying a pedigree dog or a small island. I am also a fan of the Warner no wire jobbies. Other than that I am very limited in my knowledge as when I had the boobs God gave me i could only where one size and one brand. (really considered a AA)
Getting jazzed for the Race for the Cure in my area - May 15th. SO happpy to hear a lot of you are walking to.
No dishes tonight

Kristen -- thanks for that! I have been doing a lot of "window shopping" for wire free bras and there do indeed seem to be a good selection out there. When I'm done with the next surgery and ready to shop, I will look for a good place in the area (I'm outside of NYC so I'm sure I can find a place) and go try a bunch on and see. It seemed pointless for me to do that before the surgery since I will be smaller than I am now.

This is a repeat on another thread, but this is my update.....
I never heard from my breast surgeon today (like promised). So, I called him this afternoon. Well, his office closes at 2 pm on Thursdays and guess what time I called??? 2 pm!!! I left a message and paged him twice - no answer! So, I called the onco's office, since I have an appt in the morning with them. Why go in if there are no results.... Well THEY HAVE THE RESULTS BUT WON'T TELL ME!!! Ughhhh...... So, then I got desperate and tried to get in touch with the onco's PA at the other office. No luck there. He's doing hospital rounds. So, then I called my plastic surgeon. Apparently, I signed my hippa paperwork incorrectly, so they couldn't get results. So, I drove across town and signed new paperwork. I stayed until 4:45 and spoke to my PS. He never got results - but at least he tried. He called me after I left his office and told me that he still hadn't heard anything but that he would pray for me tonight (I love love love my PS). So, now I have to wait until tomorrow. My appt is at 9:30, but I found out the PA will be there at 9, so I'm going in early!!!

Keep the wine coming tonight, Kitty. So sorry you go the runaround today - that is so frustrating. I hope you hear only good news tomorrow morning!

Rebecca! I am so happy for you! How do you feel? soft squishy warmth? I love the gel implants - so much better than the TEs!
While my exchange was only like 45 minutes it sounds like you had major pocket work done!
Yippee Squishy hugs to all! Can you tell I have had a glass of wine tonight?

Ok Ladies, Today I was talking to a woman I work with who was diagnosed in 2002, she had BMX, exchange etc then 6 years later she started getting sick all the time and couldn't figure out why. Yes we've all heard about that, something to be aware of but not obsess about. Here's what I hadn't heard of. She had her implants removed, because they were indeed leaking, she had them tested and they were like nice little petri dishes filled with mocrorganisms but her muscles had deteriorated from the silicone leak and could no longer support implants. Four years later she has just had a glutial flap done. I just wondered if anybody else has heard about the muscle issue. Makes me think we should be getting checked for leaks at least once a year but I don't want to freak over what may be a unique case. Susie, Be patient, they will change. For the next couple months you'll go through loving them and hating them. Then you'll come to a point that it's the new you.Alina, Mine started out uneven. There's still a little difference but not enough to notice unless you're really analyzing. And when I went and looked at my before pictures, they were uneven, go figure. I had never once noticed. Hey Julie! I think we are supposed to get MRIs with gel implants... I think my PS said every 2 years? not sure since I have not finished up yet... will be talking nips next week!
