Packergirl~
My fat grafting felt lumpy & hard initially...kinda freaked me out! I felt discouraged but then it began to soften...phew! Now..I can't feel a difference. Don't massage the area!! My PS said not to apply pressure on the area...mine was to fill a dent/step off on my upper pole. She said not to disturb it in any way. I had to make sure my bras were not pressing on top of my upper pole area.
Coolbreeze~
Thinking of you....for those that have been there...we all can get anxious/nervous. The positive...you're almost there!!!
Take care & bless everyone!

Laura~lovely to hear from you but so awful you're suffering with LE. I hope you start to feel better soon. I don't really know much about LE if i'm honest. Is it hard to get rid of? Wishing you healing thoughts

Has anyone heard about Bromelain and it reducing inflammation following surgery? One of the PS websites lists it as a post surgical recommendation so before I start experimenting on me, I was wondering if anyone has tried it.

Big Apple: Have you heard of LifeExtensions.com? I followed all of there protocol regarding things to do prior to and after surgery. Here is what I take:
- Resveratrol: 100-250mg 2 weeks after surgery
Avoid the following supplements for 2 weeks prior to surgery and begin taking 2 weeks after surgery:
- Garlic: 1200-2400 mg per day with food
- Fish oil: 4000 mg per day with food
- Vitamin E: 400-800iu per day with food
- Feverfew: 250 mg per day
I also take, under dr's recommendation, a product called Wobenzyme--5 tablets with 1000 mg of vitamin C 3 x per day and Natural Remedies Immunity Plus which contains Mistletoe--both of these are supposed to help with stray cancer cells. Try asking on the alternative thread--you will find a wealth of information and help there about supplements. Bromelain is a digestive enzyme and may be similar to the Wobenzyme, just not as powerful.
Hope you are healing rapidly!

Coolbreeze - I think we tend to forget what our PS originally tells us about how the reconstruction vs. augmentation process works and that there are a lot of variables in regards to reconstruction. Thanks for the reminder!

I just posted my pics- Despite all my urging for Allergan 20's, PS ended up using Allergan 15 421's. I had the lolli-lift and it's only 2 days so I am waiting to see the changes

Waldo: Thank you for posting! I am sure they gave you what looked best during surgery. I will go have a look now. Heal up and have a relaxing weekend.0

BigApple09 Yes Bromelain
I have been taking Quercetin with Bromelain....I need to go back to my notes to remember why???:) I take 30 supplements and some of them I have to re-look up on google or in my notes to remember why...is that lame or what? I think I take Quercetin because it is a natural Aromatase Inhibitor. I also take melatonin and chrysin which are aromatase inhibitors.
Anyway...the reason I ended up with Bromelain which comes from pineapple is because Quercetin needs it to be absorbed and used better. One note that I have written on my container of Quercetin with Bromelain is to "make sure the Quercetin carries the QU995 trademark on the label as straight Quercetin carries that notation". I found that out after buying my current bottle of Vitamin Shoppe Q with Brom. which does NOT have QU995 anywhere in the description and need to find another brand.
A quick search of Bromelain says it reduces inflamation and may kill bacteria andmay increase the amount of antibiotics absorbed by the body and may affect the body's ability to clot. There is a lot more but my computer won't let me cut and paste on this site when I access it through Mozilla Firefox. sorry

Cool Breeze- I wish I had your doctor. No one ever warned me how this would be SO different from augmentation. I wish someone would type up a standardized form letting women know these things. That way if the surgeon is too uneducated, busy or just plain clueless to tell their patient themselves they could just hand the list. It wouldn't have changed the treatment I chose but I would have been a lot more prepared emotionally.
Karaokelorie- If you're asking about the "Yes, they're fake..." t-shirts I have seen them online at CafePress.com and Zazzle.com
For those of you needing some inspiration (musically, that is) someone just started a new thread called "Music to get you through....". They're asking if you have any songs that inspire, comfort or motivate you. (My favorite is War of my Life by John Mayer!)

((((Laura)))) I am so sorry to hear you have LE -- the shit never seems to stop dammit! The good news though is that it's treatable and you CAN get back to normal... so this I pray for you. Soon!

Laura, I'm so sorry to hear your news. Best wishes with PT, and I hope that your treatments will be comforting and successful.
I texted Val earlier today and she wanted you all to know that she extended her vacation at the beach and is having a great time. She'll be back on Monday, but not before.

Laura ~ So sorry to hear about the LE. Where is it on your body? I have had quite a bit of massage therapy on my right arm and upper body over the last year and it has done wonders for me.
Deborah ~ Looking at the Solutions catalog today and just cracked up when I saw this breast support "solution". Made me think of you with your tube socks.

!!!!
Despite the phallic appearance, it looks useful to me.
You know how many times I've slept with my arm between my breasts to stay comfy? (When I had breasts, that is) I started wearing a bra to bed when I was a teen because I read Marilyn Monroe did.
And, I have to say, that at the time my cancer was dx'd at 51, my breasts had not sagged yet. But, sleep bras still don't handle that cleavage area so I'd prop them. Silly as that item is, I can see its use!.0 -
Maybe if it looked more like a Teddy Bear? or a pillow? or Rob Pattinson? or....

OK SISTERS........ I come back to EC... and see a huge PENIS in the middle of some breasts... in a photo shoot...that our Breast Whisper posted.........
Tell me, how did you girls corrupt Deborah while I was away wallowing in self pity.....

No way, no way....not my fault! Colleen is the one who found it....I was just able to get the picture up for everyone to see. Colleen said it reminded her of my rolled-up-sock-between-the- cleavage trick for preventing chest wrinkles. It looks NOTHING like my sock!

OMG LOL Laura on penis between the breasts.

OMG. I am in hysterics. Thank you all for livening up my Saturday night! I must say that since TE's I ahve had to sleep in a nest of big fluffy pillows tucked around and between my breasts to keep the TE's from sliding around and bumping into each other when I lie on my side. But, PILLOWS, not sex toys!! Yech. Looking down and seeing THAT would be terrifying!
cnemeth, you will love your tempurpedic mattress and truly want to conduct all of life's business from there. (Once it stops off-gassing the chemical smell). Next you will need Tempurpedic pillows and then 800 thread count sheets! I am so happy with mine! Have to toss my teenage daughters out of it as they cannot believe how comfy it is. At least I get some long gone snuggle time with them, even tho it is mainly about the bed, not about my company! I got them the Target version tempurpedic-like pad that goes on top of their mattresses as consolation.
Estepp, It was so worrisome to hear your awful news about the LE, but wonderful to see you back and even joking around like your old self. I hope that you are not just putting on a good face, but that things are really a bit brighter for you.
