the only way I can get it to work was to go to this web site:
http://www.picresize.com/
than you should see the below sentence click on the it's free at Drpic.com
Looking for our more advanced online image editor? It's FREE at DrPic.com!
it should say loading please wait...
than click on this, it should have a folder with a green arrow
Start by uploading a picture from your computer or camera.
click on the browse
double click on your pix or if you single click you need to hit open when done
than hit the load picture
than it seems like I alway have to crop it 1st by clicking and making a red box than double click in that box than you can click on the resize red square to the left and reduce it by about 50%. Than X out the resize tool box and right click on the pix and hit save pix as and re-name it and hit save. This is the only way I can get it to work for me.
hope this helps some that been having trouble0 -
Laura I didn't double check the web site but this is what I had on the other thread
and I think it was for 300cc
S = short would be 13 by 9.1 by 5.7
from what you said I thought it might be this style because you made it sound like they were short in height
ok gals I have to get supper and stuff done but hope to get on later

Yes, that is what I have and when I looked at something even close... to my overfill of 420cc was somethings like Mentor 700cc.. or something crazy... I am sure I am wrong.. thus my asking for help...ty

Laura:
Allergan 133 SV [Short height/variable projection] 300 cc Expander Matrix dimensions are: 13.0 wide x 9.1 height x 5.7 projection. Your PS overexpanded you to allow for skin retraction due to rads. Your width is the same but your projection is probably around 5.9 currently, due to the overexpansion. I think we would have to see where you are after rads treatment. Some sizes...also, look at the link I provided for peggio to see other size options....
Style 20
475 cc's = 12.6 x 5.5
500 cc's =
Style 45
550 cc's - 12.4 width x 6.0 projection

The reason he overexpanded me was not for rads. It was because 300cc was not big enough for me... 420cc is just about right.. 450 would have been better, but I needed to start rads
He will be using Mentor Smooth round HP for sure.. I just need to know what is close ..I hate this.

Looks like the 45 would work if I could get him to use Allegran.. he might

Valerie - I don't think that the muscle spasms you had w/ your first fill indicate that you will have problems w/ the others. I had a terrible time w/ my first fill, but the rest were fine (at least after 24 hours). Conguatulations on the first fill!

I am glad all this configuration on the expanders and implants was not going on when I was making my decision. I would have been totally confused....I just eyeballed the situation and it worked out for me.....Did not have to use my brain LOL

since your IQ is so high Linda, I am sure your brain would have pulled you through...hehe

OH YEAH I forgot about my high IQ.....even this implant sizing thingy could confuse a brainy person like myself

Thanks for the encouragement! What do you think about the amount he put in? I can feel the edges are a bit squishy - not hard. My PS is ultra conservative, so maybe he just didn't want to push too hard.

val61, not pushing for the first fill is good, if I had it to do over again, that's what I would do
whippetmom: you continue to amaze me
Estepp, hope the fact we're seeing you more means you're feeling better, I've been worried about you

Thanks! I don't know what I'd do without you all! (or y'all as they say here.....:)

Laura I posted this awhile ago on the other thread (implants smaller than expanders) and still agree
The 450cc HP would be 12.8 by 5.1. I think this will be good for you Laura ; - )
I will go get those links of the implants and post them again

450cc 12.8 by 5.1
Natrelle style 20
425cc 12.0 by 5.2
450cc 12.4 by 5.2
475cc 12.6 by 5.5
style 45
500cc 11.9 by 5.7
550cc 12.4 by 6.0
I don't think with your rib cage you would want to go any bigger than 13cm or smaller than 12cm
I should have told you guys my rib cage is 29 (I think) I thought the 11.4 were too small/narrow but my 13.6 are just a touch wide but with only being 1 implant you can't tell as much. My implant is really close to my center rib cage and my natural breast isn't that close. But I still think I look ok don't get me wrong. Right before my nipple I will have to post new pix to see if this is a change or if it was always that way after my exchange.

Hi Ladiesk I'm totally lost with all the #s and measurements ... I'm going for my 2nd fill on Thurs so maybe I'll figure that stuff out later ... I am worried about getting more ... I am still having a lot of pain and discomfort from last week's fill (300 cc in one side, 280 in the other). No muscle spasms, just pain and burning especially on the sides and base ... Is this normal discomfort? Or could something be wrong? I am debating on taking a week off from getting more, but part of me thinks I should keep at it and just deal with it ... just wondering what others' experiences have been. Is this okay? sue

suegmomof3 - That is a lot of fill at one time! Whew! No wonder you are in pain. Wait two weeks...ask your PS to slow it down. However, I do not know your pre-mastectomy status and it appears that you might have sufficient skin flaps for him to do this. With some gals who are going for the higher cc level implants [700 to 800] you can see why a PS would try to get them pumped up as much as possible with each fill visit. But again, it is perfectly fine to take your time with fills.

YAYYYYY Lisa on getting the drains out!! That is going to be oh sooooooo sweet!

I'm with whippetmom/Deb take two weeks off and things will get better and only go for 50 - 90 fill max next time

the 450's Sandy seem like much smaller projection than I have now.. ( I have about 5.9 now) seems just too small... Thank you for the second time in two months for helping me...:) ... I am just messed up about this all... I have saved it all this time to refer to. Thank you. I will let PS look it over, and discuss with him.
Thank you ladies for your thoughts. And Tracey, what you wrote on the Oct. thread.. WOW.. you did make me feel less alone... thank you for that... so much!
I have been told that since I have had the max of treatments ( short of mets treatments of course).. I am going to feel much different than those who have not experienced it all... I am just trying to be the old me, and it is not going to happen right now. A friend called tonight and did tell me that I should be pretty well feeling close to the old me about two weeks after rads... so... look out May.

Wow, glad all these numbers weren't flying around when I got my hoot........I'd have been one confused lady!
Laura, so glad to see you posting honey, was worried about you...and speaking of worries..........I have some about my brain.
My post op is on THURSDAY at 12: 15, not tomorrow. Oh good grief, this is what I get for jumping out of bed the day I get home from the hospital to make the post op. I wrote down Wednesday. Argh.
Well, all that anxiety won't go to waste, another day to pray for it all to be AOK .
I second the two weeks after rads Laura...my kid was in 8th grade, and things were hopping. I flopped into bed after rads, just laid there for a week in summer vacation then I felt OK the next week. You'll bounce back. But take it on the back burner for just a little w hile longer.
I also second the horrible first fill....yikes! But the next ones were perfectly uneventful, I guess it's that first big stretch.....glad it's over for you.
xoxo

Linda54,
I think you have beautiful results so it paid working with your ps and knowing what you wanted. You are actually my guide because we are similar in size and I would love results like yours.

Laura, good to see you back!!
Good luck on tomorrow's surgeries ladies!
And Annie -- hang in there for Thursday!
I probably could have used Deborah's and Sandy's help with the implants too, but just went with what my PS suggested after he found out how big I wanted to be. I'm happy with projection, size could be slightly larger, width could be slightly more. I never even THOUGHT about all those measurements or realized there were so many choices! My PS brought an old cardboard box full of implants in to show me -- saline and silicone, mid- and high-profile, round and teardrop shape. He gave me his suggestions and then let me decide, but things like width compared to my rib cage size didn't even occur to me!
Oh, I hated those muscle spasms with the TEs! They always seemed to hit me in the car on my way home from work. I'd spend most of my drive massaging my left foob. LOL I still get them a bit on the left, but nothing like with the TEs.
Off to bed -- stayed up way too late again last night. When will I learn?!

Hi Ladies, thankyou for the best wishes on my surgery tomorrow. Even tho this is #7, I am anxious. Had a cold last week, but thankfully it is gone.... I was really worried we may have to postpone. Cant wait to look down and see something!!!
Hugs, Karen

Karen: Prayers going out to you right now....#7 is as important as #1 in this journey. Praying also for mizbabygirl14. We look forward to hearing from you both!!!

whippetmom...thankyou. I forgot to mention something. Tomorrow is 1 year from orig bc dx. That may be part of the anxious feeling. I feel great and look forward to my new foobs. I found some of the faux nipples that were discussed recently. Just had to order them. Once I am healed, I will wear them to my appt with the ps.....she will get a real kick out of it. Got to keep the humor in things, ya know...
Hugs, Karen
