Thanks so very much to everyone for the support!! You are one great bunch of ladies and you make a hard situation seem bearable.  Keep the prayers coming and I'll keep you posted. I don't have the words to say what I am feeling....  HUGE THANKS is all I can come up with.  Wish I had a way with words like some of you girls do.

Wanda - I'm glad you are taking it slow and easy.  From experience I know that racing to the finish line (not my choice) is not the answer.  It sounds like your PS is very knowledgeable.  I'm glad you were not in too much pain!!!  One down!!! As for this funk thing going around...maybe spring fever??? I've gone through it so often in the last couple of months that I've finally realized it is kind of like PMS...shows up for a couple of days to make you crazy and then just as quickly disappears and I feel back to normal (my new normal that is!!!))

Oh Lisa - you have been through so much yet you always seem so up....I keep saying that, I sound like a parrot repeating myself!!! I am just in awe of how strong you all are.  You've gone through the worst of the worst and are still sending out positive energy.  I need to get some of that on me!!! LOL

Robin - Congrats on the drains coming out...happy, happy for you! Rest and look after yourself so that you feel better soon!  Are you wearing a good support bra to keep those girls up there?  That seems to be important from what the experienced ladies have shared.

Annie - post soon, tell us you are having a fling with NED!!!!

      hello all,

just trying to catch up with all you ladies....

sorry to hear some of you are having so much added stress of having family members getting sick too......my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone of you

reading all the info about the sizes is so educational and to me awesome.....I  was one of the trusting ones that told my ps do what he thought best....but pre mx I was a DDD....and had been lugging those around ......I just told him a C cup would be fine....I got 800cc medium profile implants....they are satisfactory for me.....I do feel a little light on the top sometimes and do miss the ole gals...bt I am just glad to get the C gone. My first bx path report showed only LCIS.....but since 3 of my mothers sisters all had BC...I choose BPM.....turns out it was a good thing I did ... they found extensive LCIS in both as well as DCIS in right one and.....atypical and hyperplasia cell...post op when talking to my oncologist who I see at least monthly for a rare type of luekemia I also have....he said I just beat the gun,,,,I am happy with my decision either way.....but whew!!!

I am honered I met you ladies on this site.....you are some awesome women.I have been so inspired and uplifted by being a part of this site....THANK YOU ALL

I hope each of you get the lovely soft perky breast you want,,,with great pain meds.Just know you all are in my prayers

Hey ladies........got back from Vegas 3 am on wednesday......but it has taken me this long to read all the posts I missed......can't possibly repond to all of them......so I will just say.....I missed you all and think of you daily!

Vegas was a blast....... actually came home with more money then we took......so that's a first.......weather sucked.....cold and windy......but had lots of great meals and a good show.

I am having some issues again with the left side......started having seroma drainage again from the still open section of my scar that she stitched together........thought I would be done with all this by now.......she tells me it will have to heal from the inside out now......so that may take a while.......drainage was really slowing down......had a fill before Vegas.......and now voila.......major drainage again........no redness or swelling this time........but jeez......why must I be going through this again?.......Ps is on vacation of course and I won't see her until April 3rd so I'll have to wait to talk to her.......I will keep my fingers crossed that this all ends soon.....

Sorry for going on and on.......I just can't believe my rotten luck....

    Cheers to all!

    welcome back Jax

hope things keep healing and gets better soon

can I ask where did you stay in Vegas?

I have some co-workers going next week and they are staying at the excalibar

I was surprised when I looked this site up and found my pix there

    http://www.qcbc.org/tomrv/

I hope to do the ride this year but bummed to see it's the same day as the race for the cure run

last year I only did part of day 2 of the ride because my sister celebrated their anniversary on day 1 which was a gorgeous day.  Day 2 was rainy and windy

Sandy that's cool that your pics are on that site! I see they put everyone up at Clarke and Loras -- too funny. I went to Loras and have many interesting memories of the dorms there! LOL I'd love to do that ride too but have our annual end-of-school-year camping trip already planned for that weekend. I used to do a ride from Kalamazoo to South Haven, MI and back -- about 50 miles each way, and we camped in a field at a school overnight -- but that was on a rail trail, so FLAT. I can't imagine biking the Miss. River Valley that far!

Welcome back Jax! Glad you had a good time but sorry to hear the seroma is acting up. I hope that inside-to-out healing starts happening FAST!

Sandy! AWESOME action shot of you riding on that site, you look powerful and strong. Can you explain what type of procedure you are gonna have for a nipple. I was reading on the other thread where you said your PS will use Alloderm. My PS used that to hold my TEs in place. So she will some how raise the skin from underneath with the Alloderm and then will you get tattoed?? Sorry for the questions but I am thinking I might get a skin graph done for nips, or the 3D tats...not yet sure I just want them to look as real as possible so I am trying to get as much info as I can so that when the time comes I will know what I want. Thanks for any info you can give.

My PS said she will actually give me the tattoo the same day when I get my nipple

I was a little surprised because I thought they usually waited for that

I will try and find a post the explains the nipple style I will get

Thanks Jean for your kind words.  You have a great vacation! You will have a very hard time catching up after 5 days away!  LOL Enjoy your time but we'll miss you!

Thanks Kathie, you are too kind.  I truly appreciate and will need all the prayers and support to get us through this.  It sure helps to share with you all as the burden feels a bit lighter somehow.

Wow Elaine!!  Don't you just feel like you must have had guidance from some higher power when you made that decision!  Thanks goodness that the hard choice you made turned out to be the right one.

Psalmist - Enjoy your company while you have it....us cyber chicks will be here when things quiet done!

Jax you and I seem to be having the same issue - fill ‘er up and then the incision drains more.  My PS has decided he's not going to fill me anymore even though he had hoped to put in another 60cc.  I'm almost healed - TOUCH WOOD- I only have an area smaller than my baby finger nail now.  Wishing you some speedy healing!! I'm so glad you had a great vacation and to come home richer than when you went is wonderful!!

Re: Nips - have you ever heard of nips made from rib cartilage?  My PS says he and a another PS in BC pioneered the technique.  I haven't found anybody who has had them so that I could see what they look like. When I get closer to that I'll ask the PS if he has pics.

My husband's uncle's funeral was today and if there is such a thing as a nice funeral I would say this was it.  So very touching and thought provoking.  He was a wonderful man...a lay missionary who also developed our local food bank.  I know he has gone on to a better place and so does his immediate family which made the day kind of celebratory in a way.

    HI ladies,
Yvonne - so sorry to read your news ... I'll be thinking of your family members!  I am quite sore this morning after my 2nd fill yesterday. I had finally started to feel normal on Tues (5 days after my first fill) and told the dr how much pain I had.  She explained that the first expansion tore lose lots of scar tissue, and that's why I was hurting so much.  She wanted to be aggressive for the 2nd fill and then said she could slow things down after that .... (I had 180 CCs put in during surgery; 120 on one side, 100 on the other for my first fill last week)  So yesterday she put in 90 CCs on each side.  I felt much better yesterday afternoon/evening than my first fill but it was probalby because I took my pills every 4 hours and wtih food to avoid the nausea ... I'm LEARNING.  :)  It's amazing when I look down and see how far I've come in just two fills!  It's exciting ...  The dr seems to think I'm off to a really great start and the expansions are going well - she said I'll be thrilled with the results ... so I'm going to hang in there even though it feels like my chest is hard as a rock wall and I have expanders protruding under my armpits!

I'm heading out tonight to see a band that I just started working for - it's going to feel strange going out but will be fun to get all dressed up.  Now to figure out what to wear that masks the weird state my chest is in.

I think of all of you every day, and hope you all continue to heal.  Your incredible attitudes and great support you offer everyone else are GREAT!!!  I'm so glad I can come here and know that everyone here knows exactly what I'm going through.   sue

    Hi Judy,

I did not see your post on W FL docs but saw a response to you.  I too am in W. FL (Tampa) and have a number of docs that were recommended to me as well as the team I used.  I am very happy with my team as I was aiming for a nipple and skin sparing and they are touted as the local experts on this procedure.

Send me a PM if you would like and I will pass along the local names and the referring parties.

    Hi girls:

I just wanted to post over here and say thank you soooo much for all the prayers and support I received on this thread as well.........You kept me sane, and I love you all so much.

    (well, relatively sane).

Yvonne, I am so sorry to read of your family troubles....I am praying for you that the lump is just an inflammation of some kind, and that the brain cyst is benign and can be shrunk with meds.

You are all in my prayers, every single day, every single gal, and I am sending huge hugs to you all........in txtmnt, out of txtmnt, rads, chemo, expansion, post surgical, surgical................tons of love to all.

Laura, good to see you on here.  I am a big old 5" myself, I like to think of us as Jack Russell terriers of the boobie world.  Tiny but vicious if you screw with us.  :):).  I have a big old rehead temper as well.  You are tiny, but mighty, so cancer better not mess with you anymore ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tracey, you just get more beautiful every time I see your photo....extraordinary.  Send some of that my way, will ya?

Sandy, how great do you look on that bike!!!! Awesome visual for a strong woman to beat BC!!!! You go, girl.

Jean, Kathie, Janet, Whippetmom, Fairy, Sheila, Jax, Psalmist, and oh so many more....................my love and prayers to all go out.

    We make a tough bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Annie...I'm just so happy for your positive results. I read your post somewhere and I'm getting Vit D and Calcium this weekend. Gosh...i never would have thought to do that after my hyst in Nov. I was just so happy the prempro was controlling any of the surgical menopausal symptoms they warn you about. Forgot about the estrogen-bone relationship!!

Thanks and again.....just thrilled for you and your family!!
