Can we have a forum for "older" people with bc?

Wren, the body of the mask is a 15 x 7.5 inch rectangle. I fuse the interfacing (7 in. square of Pellon 906) to the bottom half on the wrong side of the rectangle. When the rectangle is folded in half the side with the interfacing becomes the front of the mask. If you want I'll see if I can find the url for the pattern again. I have deviated from the pattern as I am not making them to be able to insert a filter. Figuring the interfacing is providing at least some extra filtration over and above the two layers of cloth.

I found one "pane" of those folded linen-like disposable hand towels makes a decent filter that doesn't smother me. I do have a small face, so I have to hook a shoelace through the elastic loops and tie it behind my head to avoid side-gapping.
Judy, hope the move is going smoothly and your I.T. guy gets your connection to the outside world up & running.
Chilly breeze off the lake today, making for unpleasant (runny-nose, despite mask) walking conditions. Gonna rain tonight & tomorrow, plus part of Mon. I hope it won't be storms & soaking rains this time. Our electrician should have nice sunny dry weather Tue-Fri. so we can finally have an impermeable electrical conduit to the garage. Meanwhile, the landscaper is bringing more potting soil, herbs & flowers. Maybe I can take the San Marzano seedlings out of their little peat pots and put them in the 4-inchers holding my other three tomato plants--which are over a foot tall now. The beefsteak one is already starting to bud. Used up the last of my supermarket basil (held up nearly a week in water with a plastic bag over it)--the store that did my Instacart delivery was out of it. My little ones in pots are not quite tall enough to start pinching, much less be harvested to any degree. I do have a bumper crop of flat-leaf parsley and mint coming up outside, though. Mojitos?

Sandy, Oh boy, what a day Friday and today Saturday-The house is beautiful, just lovely. Comcast is a nightmare. On phone 3 hours with our internet guy and Comcast technician with a heavy singsong accent that I couldn't understand one of 32 words of. Nothing would connect. They think its a problem with wiring coming into the house Today, another 2 hours on phone with Comcast. No connectivity. Comcast will send somebody Sunday nite to check. Said if we observed all precautions, mask, 10 feet apart, no virus in house technician will come in.But today, Comcast said technician cannot come in. So, if that is the case, no internet, no tv. No WiFi.I'm using my iPhone on Cellular paired to my iPad to write this, but it's spotty and will be extremely uncomfortable for six months. Also, Gil needs to finish a manuscript and needs internet's. Outcome will all be revealed tomorrow. I remember you named alternatives to Comcast, but cannot remember what they were. May/ may not need them.
Gil, it turned out, had a Herpes/ Shingles infection in his eye. This was 7 years ago. It destroyed his peripheral vision in one eye as it shredded his optic nerve. Operation was to put a drain, a tiny faucet behind the eye to drain fluid, reduce pressure. That's why the loud, “OY" exclamation from our optha friend neighbor.
We will be happy here when Internet stuff hopefully gets straightened out. It's so lovely with everything blossoming and to be able to walk freely once again, not feeling imprisoned and to be able to wave and shout to DS and 11 year old GS from across the street as we drove past their house, about a mile away.

Keywest glad your move went well excepting Comcast. Hopefully that will be sorted soon.
Illinois lady i love the quote today. The older I get the more I understand what living intentionally means and why it's important. Thank you. Good luck with the porch cleaning.
Today hubby worked on our container gardening on the deck. Planted: eggplant, tomato. Herbs: basil, parsley, dill and spearmint. This week i need to just get lettuce and lemon balm as they were out at Home Depot. Also flowers for the front porch and a few for the deck. Looks like rain here all week so I have time but was lovely today.
Cindy agree on the Churchill book so far. Probably accounts for the title.

KeyWest - if they can't figure out internet, ask about a "hot spot" - tiny device that works on its own as your internet connection. My niece uses one (hers was through AT&T) takes it on vacation, and uses in the car w her young daughter. It's portable & can go anywhere (not that YOU can at this time). With a "hot spot" you may also be able to get a Roku stick, goes into an HDMI port on your tv; then you can access your cable tv through the internet on the hot spot. I use Roku on bedroom tv's (FL & NY) for Hulu, Prime, and cable. Saves extra cable fees. Worst case scenario - Wal-Mart antena for tv, you'll pick up some tv. In FL before we could hook up to cable I bought an antena. We received about 18-19 channels, w about 1/2 of them in Spanish.
I drove about 11+ hours today. Beautiful day to be driving, but long. We deviated from I-95, went wide (sounds like football!) to avoid Philly, NJ and NYC. Went into PA through/around Gettysburg, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, into Binghamton, NY. Then came east into Colonie/Albany on I-88. I almost hit a turkey who walked onto the road at dusk! I braked and swerved, it ran, all are safe & sound.
Masks - we were able to get 2 in FL made by a church. They do have a gap to insert a filter. You'll laugh, we've put in bra padding cups. I've got a lot of bathing suits that came with them, and work out shirts - had extras tossed in the drawer. We wash the entire thing, mask & "filter" after every outing. Through multiple states on the way home, some people wore nothing, some states mandate masks.
Good night, sleep tight, stay safe.

Judy, maybe RCN serves your part of Glencoe. (That's what I have). AT&T also has an internet service--and if that's your cell carrier they might be able to bundle (even add DirecTV). I've used a "hot spot" for travel to places without a wi-fi connection, but just like tethering a cell phone (or cellular iPad), the cellular data charges can rack up something fierce unless you have a plan with a large data cap. Sprint does unlimited cell data, but the more data you use (i.e., an amount comparable to other carriers' "caps") the slower the speed. And IIRC, Sprint does charge a monthly fee for the ability to tether. AFAIK, Best Buy's Geek Squad is still operational, and does house calls (I've seen their little cars on the street even in the past couple of weeks). Even if they won't do an in-person call right now, they can probably walk you through connection & setup more comprehensibly than can some guy in a Bangalore or Mexico City call center, because their techs are local. The closest to you, IIRC, are Evanston (Howard & Kedzie) and Skokie (across from Old Orchard).
When I've traveled in the past couple of years (especially abroad), rather than haul a laptop and rely on a possibly insecure hotel wi-fi network, I've used an iPad with cellular (Verizon had the broadest coverage, especially partnering with Vodafone in Europe), as well as tether to my AT&T cell when I've noticed I'm approaching the cap on my Verizon plan. Maybe the portable hot spots have cheaper data plans now--and Sprint is transitioning to T-Mobile now that they've merged.
As to TV, you'd be surprised how many stations a cheap indoor antenna can pick up (especially when not adjacent to those lakefront highrises). No cable channels, but maybe your cellular internet can get you HBOGo or DirecNOW.
Glad to hear you were finally able to "flush" your kitty out of her "foxhole!"

Yesterday's walk was cut short by spitting rain. I was glad I returned home when the light rain turned into a real shower. It was soon over and the sun popped out but my incentive was gone.
It was already in the 70's when I got up at 7 am.
I am making the mask pattern with the pocket but so far I haven't inserted a filtering material. I find wearing the mask a bit suffocating without the filter. I may just rely on the double layer of finely woven fabric.

Gratefulness brings joy to my life. How could I feel joy in what I take for granted? So I stop taking for granted, and there is not end to the surprises I find. A grateful attitude is a creative one, because, in the final analysis, opportunity is the gift within the gift of every moment-- the opportunity to see and hear and smell and touch and taste with pleasure.

More rain ( off and on I think ) is on todays menu. I don't like it, but it is likely I'm not in charge of rain because I'm a SUN kind of person. I don't have to be out in the sun too much ( better for us oldies ) but just 'suffer' when exposed to too much gray and rainy at one time.
Keywest, fingers crossed that you have plenty of new info here to be able to challenge your Internet/tv/cable and come out on the winning side in every way. M. Baxter, thinking of you as well. Also hoping LA is not too soupy but I do know rain tends to being out the mugginess when it is warmish already.
I think this ( due to outside ) will be one of those whatever I decide I want to do days.
Hope you all have a good day. Stay safe and heatlthy.

Thank you to all and especially Sandy, CindyNY, Illinois Lady. I learn so much here and feel so helped, even when it’s about minor, not BC, stuff. Remembered my brother telling me a few years ago about Hot Spot, but had forgotten. Thought we were going to have to leave this lovely little house we’ve only lived in since Friday. Went for a long walk, singin in the rain, came back totally soaked and went to throw clothes in dryer. Muddy water flowing from the bottom of the dryer. It would not work at all- a high level brand. Afraid to turn on washing machine, it too sitting in water. Feeling hopeless about no internet, WiFi, tv-no washer, no dryer, thought can’t live here at Glencoe prices- for 6 months, maybe more like this. Then Comcast man came, said he would come in, was masked, heavy gloves and performed magic- we are connected, Netflix for me tonight. The downside was that we were masked too and gloved, but he did not distance and several times we were too close. He was really big and the office room pretty small. Then, of course, he was all handsy with remotes to the two TV’s. I wiped down everything afterwards including myself. So now, we have working computers, TVs. Do we also have the virus?
The woman we are renting from will get dryer and possibly washer fixed, but someone again will have to come into the house.Gil and I can stand on the porch or in the yard while he/ she is in the basement.
Dahlia, sweet cat, is enchanted with house, with being able to sit on tables and window ledges and see squirrels and chipmunks and rabbits, which she couldn’t do from our 10th floor apartment.
DS said I have to watch Ozark. Don’t know.

After all my experience in making masks, the ones I made for daily use for myself-- and I carry three in my purse-- have no filter, no wire. Just two layers of quilter's cotton. When walking the dog, that gets uncomfortable to pull that much air through the two layers. I generally pull it up over my face when I go in a store, and just have it around my neck otherwise. Those female politicians do it with style! The bra pad idea won't work, air just gets pulled in through the sides, you would have to glue the edges of the mask to your face, but then suffocate. Some people are concerned about the use of interfacing in masks, because of the adhesive. Maybe using interfacing that is not iron-on, but I don't know how available that is anymore.
It has been rainy today. We got two short walks this morning. I knew there would be a gap in the rain around seven, but just waiting for it was agony. I was feeling down, because I hadn't gotten the exercise my body was accustomed to. Finally started pacing around the walls of my apartment, Tippy was probably wondering what was going on with me. I finally got his harness on, and we went walking. Feeling better now.
I hope the gym reopens soon, I could endure all sorts of rules just for the privilege of getting on the recumbent bicycle and rolling the blues away. I have been getting 7 to 8 thousand steps in on a regular basis, but my feet hurt so bad. A few days ago I got six miles in, and all that in the morning, I sat for the rest of the day.
A note about my 77 year old ex-- he has been breaking quarantine regularly, believing that he has the power to make his own reality, and if he believes that he can't get sick, he won't. My kids are rolling their eyes.

MC asking for pardon. I typed your last name as Baxter and not Baker. One of the ladies I worked with ( she was the ofc. cashier ) a long time ago had the last name of Baxter -- and though I should proof-read I am careless. So, now I need to make up. My apologies. We had two bouts of rain so no walk for us. Actually my friend from the next couple of towns over is in the hospital I just found out. Her daughter and son drove from Colorado and she called this afternoon and so we went over there. I may help out with the cats for a few days but we will have to see.
My friend has had another stroke. I hope this time she will stop smoking as I think it would be a huge help to her. I also hope she gets well enough as well as re-habed enough to be able to live at home again. She has a nice little house where she lives with her two cats and see adores them. Just have to see. So, I will know in a couple of days how things are looking.
Judy, just wow, but hopefully now with working computer/tv. you will be on the way to the good life there in the little house. My fingers are crossed very hard.

Judy, glad you got your communications up & running (and Dahlia is in a state of kitty delight with all the entertainment through her window). My satellite went out several times today during the downpours, and when I switched to my cable TiVO (which we have as a backup because it's part of a bundle with the phone & internet) it wouldn't connect to my network (although my computer and VoIP phone are connected just fine). Between endless reboots and troubleshooting, and then tech support (who threw in the towel and set up an appt. for Thurs.), I killed well over an hour. Soaking rains have ended; but there is likely no power to the garage again. Bob will have to stay home, since his office is being disinfected due to a part-time nurse testing positive (with all the PPE & distancing in the office, she almost certainly caught it from a family member).
Bless Instacart--Tony's delivered yesterday and Jewel is coming tomorrow to deliver what Tony's lacked. I wanted to go out to the deck and set the tomato plant pots upright in the large containers in which they're resting, but the deck is still sort of "ponding." I have no rubber boots, but I do have some ugly waterproof zip-up nylon half-boots, so I will go out there tomorrow. Landscaper said he'd be over yesterday to transplant them...but he never came. Didn't mow, either. Electrician said he'd finally be here this Tues thru Sat to run the new power line & conduit out to the garage, but he insists on 3-4 dry days in a row. This is Chicago--ain't gonna happen, since tonight the forecast includes showers every day except Thurs. & Sat. (and who knows if that'll hold)? He was supposed to have done this last fall, but between the rains and religious holidays (which of course were on sunny days) he procrastinated till the snow came early and the ground froze. We still have a trench--which our landscaper obligingly dug--running through our back yard, and much of the dirt has collapsed back in on the conduit. I wonder why he can't just isolate where the short is and splice in a new section of line?
Oh, and our basement flooded--about 1/2" at one point. Just a little puddle right now, but it's near the littlerboxes. Luckily, I had two disposable boxes and an extra bag of litter upstairs. They're small, and the litter is the crystalline kind, but they'll have to "do" for now till my housekeeper comes back tomorrow (after 2 months) and we have to tag-team cleanup & laundry. That is, if she can make it in tomorrow, as her alley flooded earlier and she just got done cleaning her own basement a couple of hours ago. (Serves me right for putting off laundry till tonight--seems God loves to say "hold my beer" these days).

Oh, and considering all the PPE you and the Comcast installer were wearing, it's unlikely that proximity resulted in your being exposed--especially after you disinfected the remotes & equipment afterward.
I did notice something--earlier, before I removed my Nailtiques as instructed after a week, my pulse ox was 97-99. But when I put on opaque nail polish (2 coats of Morgan Taylor pink between coats of Nailtiques) it dipped to 96 before rebounding to 97. Think I'll go back to the sheer Essie stuff tomorrow--the chipping will likely show less and the device's LED sensor will penetrate better..

Oh, the joys of moving. Now that this Smart Roku TV is installed, I have not the Slightest idea how to use it. I can get Netflix and Amazon Prime, but no regular channels, just streaming Hulu and such. When I search for msnbc, I get a message that there is no such channel. Have spent hours trying to figure this out. Also, Sandy, I know I brought my pulse ox, but finding it is another story. The reading was down to 95 after I put Nailtiques on. I know I’m back in normal vexing life after BC- it is a luxury to be worried about tv or to be annoyed that Glencoe Starbucks doesn’t allow ordering ahead, since our Keurig broke . New one doesn’t arrive until Wednesday.

Good morning, Ladies. It is a rainy morning. The cats and husband have gone back to bed for a senior nap. I have a lengthy list of things to do, so I appreciate the quiet. Hope you all have a good week.

KeyWest - I can relate. We bought new Roku tv in January. Could not figure out how to get my regular cable, only online connect to cable. Then one day I back arrow to some place, one of the "boxes" showed "cable box" - we hit it and could then use our Xfinity remote. This was after a month or more of online cable! So look for the "box" (like Hulu "box" or Prime "box") that says something about direct connect to your cable. It's in there, I just wish I could tell you more.
MCBaker- I can relate to missing the gym! My NY gym closed for good while was in FL. I'm back in NY and I miss it so much. It was a constant in my life, I felt like it gave me purpose. I'm meeting the trainer tomorrow to buy a 20# kettle bell, I can't find them local or online. I'm going to see if I can talk him into a 3x a week driveway class for 3 of us. Social distancing, cash in his unemployed pocket, 3 ladies made very happy.
Rained here overnight, sprinkled some as I went to MO appt. I got the a OK on everything...except she wasn't thrilled that I stopped taking my vitamins & suppliments. I told her my bloodwork will tell the tale. Most bw was back and good before I left. But D level & cancer markers won't be in until tomorrow. She'll call me with the results.
My excuse for stopping the vitamins, I just felt overwhelmed taking so much. No good reason, lots of little excuses. If bw comes back bad or low on D, I'll have to put my big girl panties on and just take them.
I hope you all get some sun today, it truly makes or breaks the day.

Cindy - I'm feeling the same way about the supplements. They have really multiplied since BC. Hope I get to see my primary in person in June. Want to talk about that and his prescribing one medication I was getting from MO and one from my orthopedic surgeon. Those I think I should continue. No "survivor plan" so we'll see how that evolves. Know we could have that discussion by video chat but I have been unsuccessful with their portal and would like to be able to take my list of supplements in.
Hair cut tomorrow - hurray. Salon is requiring masks and gloves which pleases me. I also plan to wear long pants and a long sleeve shirt I can shed at the door when I come home. My cleaning team returns next week. They come with masks and lots of lysol.
It's already very HOT here and I dread the summer. My comfortable temperature range seems to get narrower every year. Don't know if we will make it to our daughter's in Maine like we usually do in August. It requires a layover somewhere and it's way too far to drive.

No immediate plans for a cut & color even after (as planned June 1) the salon reopens. I am doing my own nails for now--discovered that after a couple of readings on different fingers (preferably, middle--how's that for symbolism?) it eventually goes up to 97-98. But because I applied one coat of Nailtiques but no ridge-filler between it and two coats of light opaque pink (Hollywood's Sweetheart by Morgan Taylor), you can definitely see the ridges (despite a topcoat of Nailtiques). Sorta looks like the manicure equivalent of a DIY paint job on a car using house paint. Gonna switch back to Essie sheer (Mademoiselle) pink next week.
My little indoor antenna brings in over 60 channels on the 2nd floor. And I discovered the old TiVO in the den does bring in live cable (though not record yet), but the Mini in the front room (where I usually watch TV) doesn't. Hope the tech can figure it out Thursday. RCN knocked $50 off my monthly package, and gave me a free internet upgrade to 100 mbps.

Good morning, ladies. My salon was not opened the last I checked. I have been trimming my hair, but it is in need of a good cut. It is not the pretty white any more. It is gray. Since I normally wear it very short, I guess the mousy gray is more noticeable with longer hair. I have several errands to run today and will do a drive by to check. Cleaning lady is coming this week. YAY!!!!

There's a shampoo (lavender or purple bottle) that brightens gray hair. I used it during the brief time I went gray. I am in great need of color and can see from my hair roots that my front hair is a pretty silver. I am tempted to go natural again but haven't made the decision.
Yes, the smart tv has a Cable box to click. Technology challenges seem so major until they're solved. Then everything seems easy and intuitive.
I stopped taking all supplements except D3.
DH pulled the little cargo trailer up to the house yesterday so that he can wash the outside and we can start loading it.
I watched more golf instructional videos yesterday and plan to go to the driving range this morning in lieu of playing golf.
Happy Tuesday to all.

We all have such a marvelous opportunity in this life to evolve, grow, and move more and more toward becoming all we can be.At the end of our lives, who we are and what that has contributed to the process of healing the planet will probably be much more important than anything we have produced or done for money, fame, or power. We are a piece of the puzzle of the universe. Taking our place as the fullest piece we can be will probably be our most precious contribution. - Anne Wilson Schaef

Love listening to all the tv/internet talk. I am for the most part totally helpless when it comes to electronic as I've often said. I'm fortunate that computers evolved where they are much easier ( that would be usually) to use and I have managed to educate myself to a degree. We do buy a service which works out to approx. $125.00 a yr. for when I've absolutely botched things to a point where I need professional guidance. They take control of my computer and fix it while I sit and wait.
I have two first cousins ( youngsters to me though both married with young families ) and one lives not far from me. I haven't wanted to 'bother' either of them, but I'm considering asking the one who lives close to maybe help me oversee this computer. He was as a young child very much a computer nerd and set up the computer depts. in a lot of our local schools. He does now work for a company across the river in St. Louis, Mo. He has at least as much knowledge as the people we pay yearly. The one drawback is that he might not have access to some of the materials that the paid service has available towards repairs. I will talk to him.
I continue to take a supplement/s but haven't reduced them as my blood tests are all good in that dept. I also went over with my Dr. ( showing her the exact supplement ) exactly what I take and how much and she reduced a part of what I get from the V.A. --mainly had me stop taking 2 a day of the Vit C with D-3 compliment. So, I keep on with this as it seems to work for me. I'm not varied enough in my diet choices -- or maybe I should term it more inconsistent with them.
I hope you all have a safe and healthy day.

Bloodwork back today - D is 57.4, was 59 in November; CA15-3 exact same; CEA 0.6, lower than Nov.
So I went back to look at paper copies for D levels. It was as high as 73.6 in 7/19. It's going down and I was in FL sunshine for 5 months. Dr didn't say anything but I'm going to have to start taking it again, along with calcium. I've got to regroup & focus!
Hope you all had a great day. Weather was beautiful here today.

Looking over your test numbers Cindy and had a couple of thoughts. Don't know if it would be any help, but I'll write them down just in case. Having a cancer dx and the things you do ( operations, drugs, some long term therapy ) do tend to affect your numbers. That is likely one factor and the other thing I think about is getting older tends to change how we assimilate what goes into our body.
The VA prescribes my Vit C and it has the D-3 in it. The supplement I take ( not pushing any brand here as I got the name from my Nutritionist coach ) is a one a day type called Alive. So, when my VA Dr. went over things her changes were bearing in mind how much of what the VA gives me was in the one a day supplement, and why she x-ed out one of the Vit.C which I took twice a day -- one a.m. and one p.m. The supplement I use has I think a little more than some of the more standard brands ( like One-A-Day or Centrum Silver say ) and the Nutritionist's husband was a pharmacist -- and it was he who had her start taking those. I will say though -- as a nutrition coach her diet was good enough that she normally only took her vitamin supplement every other day. I just don't and I don't think ever have eaten well enough to do that.
I have used them for yrs. now and once in awhile I think about switching, but the other factor is their affordability and only having to take one a day. Again -- I'm not pushing them but just saying why I 'found' them and use them. I do think its well to bear in mind I could likely take a number of supplements and get almost the same results. At least I did get to cut one pill out of my daily line-up but it was by having a real heart to heart about it with my Dr.
Tomorrow I go back and see the Urologist. Sigh !! I think I'm headed for a same-day procedure ( to look into the bladder and maybe light up the kidneys as well. We will see what he has to say. I try not to complain but it seems I've had something to do at least monthly ( and I was still working on last yr.'s medicare check ) since I broke my arm. So, I'll do this but in short order will start the things I will be doing for this yr.'s medicare check-up. My blood draw is in June with the Dr.'s visit four days later -- and she will set up the other things I will be needing. Well, I am retired so that is the good part. I have more time to do these things.

The precautions some states are talking about regarding reopening hair salons would radically change things--not just the appointment-only, social distancing, masks & gloves. Some public health officials think that coronavirus particles can live on wet hair (don't know why shampooing, rinsing, and towel-drying wouldn't kill them the way 20 sec. of handwashing with soap & water does), so they advise banning blowouts! That would mean no more keratin treatments (in which blow-drying is a crucial step); haircuts would have to be done on clean dry hair (washing & drying your hair before going to the salon, which is bass-ackwards); and color services would mean leaving the salon with a wet head and doing your own styling. Not sure if it's worth the hassle. Not just that, it'll be much more expensive, as all that PPE costs money and it will take twice as much dye for most people's root outgrowth. (Although I usually get mine done nearly every 3 months anyway).
Sigh. I have realized that my days of short shorts and tank tops (except with an over-shirt) are over. Though I have lost a ton of weight, they are now way too revealing--the puckered hanging skin on my arms & upper thighs is truly disgusting. Not gonna go long-sleeved in summer (most T-shirt sleeves are just long enough to hide the flab). Thank heaven for Bermudas and bike shorts. The fact that pools will be closed for a long time makes up for the fact that I refuse to be seen in a bathing suit, lest fellow bathers lose their swim-up bar lunches. Nevertheless, the flab is a small price to pay for not being obese.
The electrician swears he'll be here tomorrow through Fri. (good thing, as storms are forecast again for the weekend). It'll be nice to have the confidence that my garage door will work even in a downpour (unless all the power to the house goes out).

It looks gloomy outside this morning. I'll check the radar on Weather Bug before deciding whether to take a long walk.
Sandy, I recall your saying that you could have surgery to remove excess skin after a year of maintaining lower weight.
Nothing planned for today except routine chores.
Wishing everyone a good Wednesday. I think it's Wednesday! LOL.

Silence stands outside the world of profit and utility. It cannot be exploited for profit; you cannot get anything out of it. It is "unproductive," therefore it is regarded as useless. Yet there is more help and healing in silence than in all useful things. -Max Picard
Silence must be comprehended as not solely the absence of sound. It is the natural environment for serenity and contemplation. Life without silence is life without privacy. The difference between sanity and madness is the quality of our thoughts. Silence is on the side of sanity. -Norman Cousins

Gloomy here today although I don't ( hope-hope ) think it will rain. We could get even a bit of sun in the afternoon. I hope we do, as a little blooming would be appreciated. So, I'm laughing about thinking it is Wednesday. I hate to admit how often I have to check about which day it is. My computer doesn't say which day --- but it does give a date -- and I keep a calendar close by. Personal post it notes so to speak.
Actually, I think it will be awhile before we get any truly nice weather. Well, I will just have to buck up and turn my sunshine lights on inside and I will do ok.
I hope you all have a good day. Stay safe and healthy.
