Hoping for good results from the colonoscopy, Jackie.

It's overcast here with some bouts of gentle rain. I will be skipping women's golf league.

The leaves are starting to turn and some are falling.

Good morning. The rental house repairs estimates are coming in MUCH higher than expected. We started out wanting to do one stop shopping, but that came in at $20k. So, now looking at doing less and having different companies do the inside and outside. The house is about 40 minutes away. DH is doing most of the phone work and traveling out there. He is meeting someone for bush hogging the yard and someone else for junk removal. So, far we have remove some of the items left in the house and had someone take a broken down riding mower. Some places the yard is about high. It is 1/2 acre and the front is not as bad as the back. There are 20 or so logs and a half dozen pallets to be removed. We put in an ad for free wood, but no response as yet. There is some stuff that is cover in dirt, buried in the back. We are going to work on that before the bush hogging can be done. We have learned the a $500 pet fee doesn't make a dent in the damage pets, big dogs can do. We have to replace dry wall in 3 rooms and the flooring needs to be replaced in the entire 1100 square foot house.

    Illinoislady, hope all goes well

Karen, hope your brother recovers soon

MC, hope your daughter recovers soon

Petite, with you getting up there in age, and a property 40 miles away, you would need to hire someone to manage the property, which would cut into your profit. Best to rehab it and tell it goodbye and good riddance. Sad to find out how trashed out it was. Was this about the no evictions thing during COVID?

My grandfather had several properties and Mom, my brother and I would go in and clean at transitions. They were at most twenty minutes away, depending on whether the bridge was open. He gradually sold them, keeping only the one down the block from their house.

petite, that’s got to be disappointing. Would it help any to sell it as is? Rather than time and effort, not forgetting cost, it might make sense. I wish you luck with it.

I’m cooking 2 different types of rice. It’s the first time in a while that I care to boil anything in my house. No central AC so it’s cool enough now to boil away! I’ve also cleaned out my linen & supply closet. I found a Clinique Black Honey barely there lipstick, 3 days after I just ordered one online. You have to laugh. I’ll now have an extra.

64 & full sun today. I’m off to my foot Dr for new orthotics. Hope they fit in my newest sneakers. Enjoy your day ladies!

Fan in laptop decided to die so I was offline for past few days. Lots of catching up to do it seems.

Jackie: Hope the colonoscopy went well and the results are negative.

Mary: Glad to hear your daughter is on the mend from her appendectomy and that you have been freed to do more walking with Tippy. I am sure he will enjoy that.

Cindy: Seems that your painting project is going well but sorry to hear you have what seems to be a cold.

Keywest; Hope you are recovering well from the hip replacement.

Taco: Make plans to get away. We just returned from our first trip in over 2 years and it was refreshing. We did so much walking and it felt good.

petite1: Sorry to hear your house was left in such bad condition. Would you consider selling "as is" to a flipper? It may save you money in the long run. My DB used to own rental properties and had to deal with situations like you are encountering. He finally sold them after having to go to court so many times to get rid of deadbeats.

Karen: It was an oversight by me to not mention I was hoping your brother has a smooth and event free recovery. I was sorry to read he was ill and hospitalized.

cardplayer: I had to perform the same test but at home and twice because in the initial one, two of the specimens were overfilled. I do have SIBO and had to complete a 2 week course of a very expensive antibiotic that Medicare and my prescription plan refused to pay for. Not sure if it worked but will opt not to do that test again due to the dietary restrictions the day before and the length of the test which for me was 3 hours.

Regan was fortunately heartworm negative so we were able to start preventative med. She is on a steroid for her rash from flea bites and an antibiotic for some of her sores from chewing herself. It is easy to give her meds because I learned with prior dogs that embedding them in a ball of cream cheese works. She gulped them down and enjoys the cheese. Working on teaching her to sit on command. If she sees a squirrel or a chipmunk she wants to pursue and last night she disturbed a toad which I convinced her was not to be chased. Today there were 2 does, a fawn and the young buck were in the yard when I took her out. The buck has lost the velvet from his rack and it is lovely. She was not interested in chasing them nor even going close which I was thankful for. The buck was curious about her but I spooked him because I did not want an incident especially since he has a rack. Hope everyone has a beautiful day like we are having. The weather is cool and not humid. Yardwork this afternoon.

I had flu and new Covid shots on Tues. Flu arm a little sore but no other problems. Ken due for both on Sat. He had an appointment the day before mine but forgot it so had to reschedule. Once we decided to actually get on an airplane for the first time in almost 3 years, getting them was a no brainer. If we hadn't been going away, we probably would have waited until mid-late Oct.

Our visit to Denver will be short and probably mostly spent in Ken's nephew's home. SIL is going to be 90 and isn't real steady on her feet but is fighting a walker. Needs to be in congregate housing but so far is resistant even though she has fallen several times. Not looking forward to the visit but... Family dynamics are a little strange. Have always been hard for me but gotten worse since BIL's death. I will knit and try to keep my mouth shut. I won't mind the weather. Still 100 degree days here.

Good morning. My renter was good and always paid on time. He had a tiny house built and is living off the grid. Survivor man. There are areas in Florida that are "off the grid". The damage was caused by big dogs in the house. The outside was neglect. So, more bids are coming in and we have agreed to one for the outside work and the inside repairs. We are waiting to hear when it can be scheduled. The tree guy said he should be able to start next week, but has not given us the date. The inside handyman has given us a quote that we have agreed to and waiting to hear back from him for the starting dates. One of my friends and I got most of the items left in the house out to the dump and thrift stores.

My veins are killing me. Before BC I had 2 ablation procedures done and had not had a problem for such a long time. Does Prolia make veins worse? I could not find anything on the internet that confirmed that, but I saw that 98% in some Prolia study of those over 60 had varicose veins. It didn't say if they had them prior to the study or not. I have one over my ankle that the compression hose bother, jeggings bother and my walking shoes bother..

Notice what happens when you doubt, suppress, or act contrary to
your feelings. You will observe decreased energy, powerless or
helpless feelings, and physical or emotional pain. Now notice what
happens when you follow your intuitive feelings. Usually the result
is increased energy and power and a sense of natural flow. When
you're at one with yourself, the world feels peaceful, exciting, and magical.

First off, sure hope you can find the answer to your question petite. Knock on wood -- I've never had your problem so no idea. I do look for info on the web but usually go to WEB MD or some of the government type websites for info. You have been busy at your for sale a bit later rental. Sounds like good progress. Everything takes time. Hopefully, you will end up in a good place for property taxes on this property.

Now for my no real news, news. I'm taking it that my procedure yesterday was fine. I did have a polyp removed -- but only the one. The " colon " picture we saw when the Dr. came in afterwards showed only the very small spot where the polyp was and the rest of the colon looked smooth and fine. He also said I could make an appt. for a month from now to come in for the resutls which gives me to think that he has no suspicions or would have gotten me in sooner and ordered more tests. So fingers crossed but I do fewel positve.

On the other hand, I was truly wiped out yesterday. I didn't sleep the night before for all the obvious reasons. Boy, what a night. So, not right after, but after going to the hosp. by 6:30 a.m and home by 9 a.m., I got in the recliner and took a nap. Woke up after an hour and a half, fixed our first meal of the day -- my great chicken sandiwich from what I cooked the day before while drinking prrep. Then very slowly I began working on doing a whole lot of dirty laundry -- from the night before. I always thought everything done and I would return to bed -- only to a while later hear a suspicious gurgle from my 'stomach ' and before I could wiggle from the covers and reach my little half bath. SIGH !! So, I had bed sheets 5 sets of pj's and some wash cloths and towels. Fortunately some was not too bad. I get wet wipes as big as wash cloths from Walmart -- but I still felt the wash cloths and towels should still be done. My littlel bit of OCD showing up.

At any rate, this time I was really exhausted and it took all afternoon to do laundry and clean out cat boxes and get my bed remade. So, even though home -- all I did was put the quote here. I still feel the steam was there to sit on the computer.

Looking forward to the items I have today. A little visit with a friend ( one already done on the phone with another friend ) and a trip to the grocery store and a stop at Circle K for our freebie and I need gas too. We have the special card that allows us to get 20 cents off every gallon through this month. Usually we only get 10 cents off. WE go inside and get iced mocha coffee for free. That is a little bonus for the families of the workers. Sort of nice really.

So I am fine and hoping so are all of you.

Sounds like there lots of home remodeling going on. Hope things work out Sandy and petite. Hope you continue to feel better Illinois.

CVS finally has the bivalent booster available in our area, but when I try to schedule on their site it just hangs up. Will keep trying periodically.

Been cleaning walls and windows lately. The cats seems to have scuffed up the walls by jumping up to windows. Since they like to sleep against the molding on the floor, I'm constantly having to dust there too.

Heading over to see the baby, daughter and son-in-law tomorrow. More things to do on my daughters list. And can't wait to see the little one.

Hope everyone is feeling good. Enjoy your day.

petite1: Hope you get relief from vein pain soon.

cardplayer: When I tried to register online at CVS for the Covid vaccine I could not even get to the page. It kept kicking me out. On Wednesday I went to pickup prescriptions and asked about making an appointment there. The misinformed tech told me I was unable to make an online appointment because "they were all booked". I informed him that the site did not even let me get that far because it was my intention to make an appointment in October, not for now, so he was incorrect. Turns out I was able to do a walk-in appointment right then and there, so much for them being booked! I got my Covid vaccine within 15 minutes but always wait until October to get the flu shot so that it covers the "flu season" which is October to May. I'll most likely do a "walk-in" then as well because their online registration is "not user friendly" according to the CVS pharmacist.

Jackie: Do you have a portal where you can receive your colonoscopy polyp results? Normally the pathology report is available within 5-7 days. I would not want to wait a month for results. Never had to see GI doc to get result either.

Cindy: Seems you are really on a roll for cleaning your home. Admire your energy. I am busy doing hourly walks to make sure Regan learns that she is to toilet outside. Yes, she is house trained, just not yet to my house. Need to work on alert communication between us. I am being patient with her. She received her new name tag today so I put it on her new collar along with her rabies vaccine tag. So she is official. I pull weeds as we trek the backyard so feel like I'm accomplishing some work, too. I have a growing pile so far.

Painter is DONE! I put the living room back together, it’s the easiest. The front bedroom window is a slider. I pulled it up & out to clean it and the frame. Bad news is the seal is broken, and odd ball design is inside the double pane, from moisture and I can’t touch it. Other bedroom needs the area rug taken out and the floor vacuumed & steamed lightly. Then putting in an other area rug, thicker and wool. That needs doing before we begin to put that room back together. So still a lot of work to do. We have the U-Box until 9/29, so we’ll be in motion until then. The light at the end of this tunnel.

Jackie so glad you made out well from your procedure. Petite I’m hoping you rental redo goes smoothly.

It’s been a cool day, 47 this morning. We finally turned off the ceiling fans and even the one sucking out air in the spare bedroom window. Tomorrows high supposed to be 74. Hoping forsome sunshine!

Betrayal, you are really on it. I had forgotten about the ' portal ' and got a notification on my computer. So far as I can see from the portal, it is a benign polyp. Hoping that is what I hear when I get the appt. to see Dr. Ang. Even then, I still think had there been issues, he would have been duty bound to look into it very quickly so I don't really expect to get anything more from him during the appt. In fact, what I'm hoping I hear is that I will not have to do another. I was 77 on Sept. 13th. and if the standard rule of thumb is no testing needed after 80 and if you only need it every few yrs., my 80th. birthday will have come and gone for some time -- so hoping I am told I need not return.

I will have to say -- after trying for the last three yrs. to get this done ( first I was all set and had the broken arm, then the kidney out, then the heart surjury ) Dr. Ang said when the nurse got me wheeled into the procedure room -- well at long last, you made it. He doesn't know it, but I was thrilled. I just wanted it over and while I can't say I ever looked forward to it, I did have the bad colorectal sample test from the V.A. I felt like even though it registered positive, it was likely due to a hemmoroid, but you won't know till you do the test. So finally getting it was a win for me. At least, no matter what, I wouldn't have to wonder about the home test.

Jackie: Glad to be of help by mentioning the portal. My experience with polyps has not been a positive one so no way in hell would I wait for a month for results.

I will be having my 5th colonoscopy since 2019 and 6th bowel prep (in the same time span) the end of October. My DD had colon cancer so my familial polyposis places me at higher risk. My surgeon recommended another colonoscopy a year after bowel removal surgery so this is it. I am hoping they find nothing of importance. They did find a new polyp last year during the colonoscopy but its size made it difficult to find once removed so no pathology report which does concern me. I think with my history I will still remain on the frequent flyer club for colonoscopies. Hard to believe the one year anniversary of that surgery will be the end of October.

Our respective birthdays are one month apart and I wish you a belated happy birthday. Yesterday was my cousin's birthday and we are the same age though I was the first child and she was the fourth. It was also my DD's 10th wedding anniversary. So a happy day for all.

Betrayal, you are made of steel. I simply can't even wrap my head around so many colonoscopies. Then again, I have said for years, long before I saw the same thing in a quote, that it is so amazing what we are able to do when we just have to. It does make me think that the human spirit has a very STRONG and on-going desire to keep going -- for the next great adventure in life. Or just to perfect to the highest point we can. The soul knows.

Sunny today. I think/hope no humidity. It was nice yesterday. I'm feeling alive and energetic again and am glad the day AFTER has passed. Must be age. I felt so exhausted Wednesday that I actually HOPED I'd have energy again. I usually never get that strong a feeling of exhaustion that I have anything near that negative a thought or reaction. Good to feel up and at em' and wondering if a little mischief may be in my future. Maybe like finding a great bargain at Goodwill. Generally, things are good there on Sundays. People have had yard sales on Saturday and what didn't sell is packed up and hauled to Goodwill. I've not noticed very many garage sales lately in the paper so I thin lot of materials may be being trucked in to our Goodwill Store. I have gotten so may heavy aluminum pans for under $5.00 -- many under $3.00 that I'm going to have to stop looking. They are almost irrestible. I do sometimes buy one and find someone to give it too. Faberwears are one of my favorites but there are a lot of good brands.

Cindy, I'd love to have your painter, but likely we will ( son-in-law will get nominated I bet ) do it ourselves again. My dad painted and wall-pappered for years. It was something he learned from the service. They ruined his ears which weren't very good to begin with so taught him a trade. He was excellent at it. So good that later he taught our neighbors who wanted to work at it. I remember him doing some of our house and he would take the paper, measure the walls and cut it just so ( so that the patters would match well ) and then he would appy the paste and then fold the long sheets in a certain way to keep the glue paste good and moist, while getting the following sheets ready. He was a marvel to watch. Very fast and efficient. We don't use paper here anywhere but we have lived here since 2003 when we first painted and it's it time for a facelift.

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.

Carole, is it about time to start home or will you be waiting for some Fall leaves where you are ?

So glad it is Saturday! Dealing with 150, 6th graders and 30, 7th graders at school every day is exhausting!

I can't have normal colonoscopies anymore because accessing my veins is so hard, and it might get much worse if I get lymphedema in my right arm after my surgery in October. I had a Virtual Colonoscopy (CT colonoscope) in 2018 and that was no fun either! The prep is the same, but no anesthesia. Few hospitals offer this, but you have multiple CT scans, lying on back, then stomach. Before the procedure they pump gas into your colon. I am due to have another next year, but I just can't think about that now. Anyway, my doctor dropped the ball, and it was a nightmare getting the insurance company to approve the test. Then two weeks after the test, I still had not heard back from the gastroenterologist, so on the way home from vacation I stopped at the hospital where I had the procedure, and they gave me a copy of the report. It was over 6 weeks after the procedure when I finally heard from my doctor. I was so angry I let the answering machine pick up. I have since changed doctors.

I would love to get my whole house painted inside, and new carpeting in the bedrooms, but unfortunately, those aren't the highest priority on our home "to do" list. Owning one home is a constant repair project, I can't imagine owning more than one!

The pictures of Regan are so cute! Dalmatians are great dogs and rescuing her was such a great thing to do! I hope to rescue a small dog, but not until next spring at the earliest. I can't resist scrolling through the photos on a local rescue page.

The weather has been great here in PA, warm but not humid. We are under a drought watch too. Right now, they are just telling everyone to try to conserve water. I am looking forward to fall, it is definitely my favorite time of year!

I have my pre-surgery visit with my plastic surgeon this week. I feel like waiting so long for surgery, while good in some respects, has given me too long to think. I am more worried about the bills than the actual surgery. I don't think it has fully sunk in that I have breast cancer again! The strange thing is that even though it is the third time, none of the diagnoses were the same and none of the surgeries are the same. So basically, it feels like going through it again....for the first time!

Time to get back to the laundry, later, watching college football!

    Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Mavericks Mom - So sorry you're facing this beast again. Just a comment on lymphadema &/or the risk - When I have colonoscopies I require them to put the anesthesia line in my ankle and the BP cuff on the other leg. I did the same for both of my cataract surgeries. And I don't allow blood draws anywhere but my ankle. It's a hassle but worth it to me.

Happy belated birthday Illinois! Hope you had an enjoyable celebration. Glad you got good results from your colonoscopy.

Sorry you're going through BC again maverickmom. I hope all goes well with your pre-surgical appointment.

Spent the day with DD, Son-IL and baby. I mostly ran errands for them while DH did some handyman work. Held the baby while she slept and we took a long walk after lunch. It was a nice way to spend the day.

One of my hearing aids has been giving me problems. Intermittent clicking. I've had them over 6 years and already refurbished them once, so it's time to replace them. Scheduled an appointment with Costco.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

The V.A. offers me new hearing aids every 5 yrs. The shelf life on them doesn't extend much farther I don't think. I am not highly fond of the new ones I have even though they are much like the old ones that were replaced. Could have opted for a machine that would recharge the aids so no batteries to change every couple of weeks, but I worried that I'd be somwwhere away from the re-charger for some reason -- so ordered the new ones to be used with batteries. New ones have deifferent ear bells and a gizmo where you clean w/o having to take the whole thing apart. I learned to take it apart and the other gizmo only confuses me most of the time. Sigh !!! I also don't like how you use the settings where you increase or decrease sound. It was very easy before, but now I find that it takes me several tries at getting it right.

Not knocking it though. It is pure pleasure to hear well most of the time. Some 'older' voices like my Dh's have dropped in tone and while I don't think he notices, he slurs just a tiny bit. The two together make it often hard for me to understand him. It frustrates him when I have to ask him to repeat. He doesn't understand how I can hear him ( I do hear the sound ) but not know what he has said. I don't get all the words clearly so can't be sure. Like most, myself included, mentally I feel just as able as I did when much younger and somewhat un-aware of the changes that age brings that only sometimes have to be minor to make a difference. Voice tone for me with hearing aids is one of those things.

Cardplayer, sounds like you are truly enjoying the grandbaby. I admit all my grandchildren were love at first sight and very enjoyable. I'm old enough now to appreciate a little time, but not too much. This is due to being a great granny now.

My hearing aids are almost 5 years old. I had a hearing evaluation at Costco a few weeks ago, but I am required to see an ENT prior to getting new ones since I have such a difference between ears. It's always been that way. Not sure why now and not 5 years ago. I go annually for hearing evaluation at Costco. I do have an appointment the beginning of November with an Audiologist who is also an ENT. I chose her as I wanted to talk about cochlear implants. The guy who does my evaluations said, he didn't think I was a candidate or would be happy with CI. After doing some reading, I am somewhat afraid of CIs so may not bring it up. I'm just tired out missing out on conversation even with my hearing aids.

My colonoscopy is Monday and my husband is not allowed to be with me. It makes me uncomfortable to not have with me when the GI doctor tells me what happened during the test - like if there were polyps etc. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow liquid diet or the prep tomorrow night and Monday morning.

Maverick - remind me the date of your surgery.

Jackie - one polyp is good news, especially small right? Sorry they couldn't find it to biopsy.

My brother is now in the MICU. He is just not getting better. Last Tuesday they thought another week in the hospital, but I don't see him getting out in the next few days. I'm really worried about him. Please keep him in your thoughts/prayers.

    Have a good Sunday

No, cochlear implants are only for those with little or no hearing, even with HA's. And they generally destroy whatever natural hearing is left.

    Prayers for your brother.

Last 'scopy, they let me wear one HA. Was a relief to have two-way communication.

I got a set of cookware at the last church rummage sale.

minustwo, thanks for the info about asking for ankle IV. I have a feeling they will use my jugular for my surgery, but honestly don't know. When I had my right shoulder replaced, they used the jugular, which I didn't mind a bit. I was a vet tech and used the jugular vein often when working on animals, especially farm animals.

All with hearing aids, I wish I could talk my DH into getting one, or at very least, going to my ENT and getting a hearing test. Honestly, he is much older than I am, but I don't know if he truly can't hear, or if it is "selective hearing?" I had a hearing test in August, and while I have some hearing loss, along with tinnitus, apparently, I am not a candidate for a hearing aid yet. I guess that is a good thing, but I feel bad making kids at school repeat things they say to me. The funny thing is, when I am with a student and ask for them to repeat what they said, 9 times out of 10, they will speak even softer!

mcbaker, awesome to get a new cookware set! I miss rummage sales as it is always fun to browse everyone's displays. Around here, people are just starting to have garage sales, yard sales, etc after Covid. I like those too, but rarely feel like driving all over for them. There are some big "flea markets" in my area that are a mixture of produce, wholesale items, and flea market. Usually, they are only held on one day of the week. They are especially fun to go to in the summer and fall, on a nice day, if only to walk around!

cardplayer, I don't know about you, but I always knew if my children gave me grandchildren, I would love them. What was unexpected to me was just how much I love them! Grandchildren truly brighten our days, put huge smiles on our faces and kiss all our worries good-bye! Isn't it amazing how fascinating and soothing holding a sleeping infant can be?

The universe was created in utter perfection and does not need our

help to improve it. Humanity's attempts to override nature have

separated us from our source and destroyed what can save us. A

camera can point to the glory of a pristine forest, but cannot create

it. No smartphone is smart enough to spin a planet into orbit. God

speaks to us daily, but we rarely take the time to listen. Nature is

my church. When I walk in nature I know the Tao. No building,

altar, or ritual is necessary. Human beings have created magnificent,

awe-inspiring cathedrals, but none can surpass the wonder of a starry night.

MC -- quite true on cochlier implants. A fellow I work with finally had them put in. It was much better for him since you do have to have total hearing loss pretty much, but then he aslways talked lounder than I expected ( I still thought him super ) and he also seemed to miss a bit of what you said -- meaning for me sometimes his answers to me didn't seem complete. He got most of it,though. In the real estate business though -- most of it is often not quite good enough. Having experienced my friend with implants -- I'm glad I can have hearing aids. It is true that I don't always get 'everything' which does cause some frustration and annoyance, but I warn people that I may have them repeat if I'm not sure of what they are saying. I never expected to have 'bad' ears/hearing but then I never expected to have cancer either. Some people talk fast and some people slur a bit so lots of reasons for a missed word needed to make sense of what is said. It is what it is I guess.

Dh's can be stubborn about the test. I only got my Dh to do it because one of the friends he knew at work in the Mall when he worked for Sears gave the test. Otherwise I'l likely still be asking him to do it. Turns out he didn't need hearing aids. He makes up his mind about things and then movs on -- so trying to bring up a 'case' I think allows him ( he thinks justifiably so ) to tune you out a bit. Then he seems like he is NOT hearing the ideas you are trying to present since his mind is already made up. A bit of a sore point with us, but just annoying for the most part.

I love visiting the thrift stores here. Thank goodness we have a few. Some are somewhat pricy so I go there less, but Goodwill which only came in about 4 or 5 yrs. ago has really been a go-to for me. If we want to do a hour's driving either toward the West or the South, there are plenty of Antique stores. Now, most of them are short on antiques ( real ones ) but have plenty of goodies to browse and depending to buy. I would have looved to get a 'complete' set of pans -- mine are mis-matched but I'm still happy with them. They are what I needed for the way I cook. It is likely I would have kept the amt. of pans down. I have three small cast iron skillets I use for cooking eggs for breakfast and usually have all aluminum pans ( sauce type ) as well as aluminun fry pans. Then another set of fry pans with non-stick. Then one that is non-stick but you can use metal utensils in it. Guess I covered most of the bases.

Off to Walmart's. That store just gets it all. Sure wish we still had our K-Mart. We have Burke's Outlet and it is okay, but for me K-Mart was far better. Just glad there is a variety although it is pretty small in that department.

Best of luck with your colonoscopy on Monday karen1956. Hope all goes well. Sending healing vibes to your brother.

I started to notice hearing changes when I was in my 40s. Trouble hearing in meetings and restaurants where there was back ground noise, conference calls were the worst. I started to mis-hear words, which entertained my family. I would see the audiologist every other year, then yearly as my hearing deteriorated. When DH said he could hear the TV from the upstairs bedroom into the lower level, I figured it was getting close to time for HA. Definitely glad I finally got HA.

Have a healthy and peaceful Sunday

Happy belated birthday (I prefer "extended birthday"). Jackie! I don't go thrifting any more--I need to get rid of too much stuff, and with the "fast fashion" fad, more and more clothing that ends up anywhere but designer consignment shops (too rich for my blood) is flimsy sweatshop dreck. Glad your 'scope revealed only one benign polyp and nothing major.

Sorry I've been remiss in posting here--what with dealing with basement stuff, preparing for Fri. night's Madison gig (sparsely attended because it was too nice out to spend an evening indoors; but it did go swimmingly); and watching more CLE videos. Some are by presenters I'd seen before, who managed to make interesting topics deathly slow & boring. I have started heckling online videos--harmless, as they can't hear my insults. 21.5 hrs. down, 9.5 to go.

Had to laugh how you are heckling presenters, chisandy. I hate having to reading online and having to do mandatory child abuse education every 2 years to maintain my nursing license. It is a timed presentation with questions interspersed at irregular intervals but is a real snooze. It is free if done online but is 3 hours of sheer boredom. I do find myself talking to the screen as well.

karen, good luck with your colonoscopy.

Mavericksmom; good luck with your upcoming surgery.

I have HA for tinnitus and hearing loss "at dog whistle" range (not a dog, so don't care) but seldom wear them. They are over the ear and comfortable but with a mask I was constantly in fear of losing them. The tinnitus occurs at different volumes which I think is related to my stress level.

Regan is signaling she wants to take our hourly stroll through the backyard. We took her down front while we worked on soil remediation and planting of 6 new azaleas in the crescent near the stream. We had worked on weed removal before our trip so it was ready to go. This area will be finished and then mulched once I receive the daffodil bulbs I ordered. Regan was on a long lead attached to a tree and seemed to enjoy being out for several hours. Neighbors walked past with 2 dogs and she did not bark nor react. Of course, they were not within sniffing distance so that was a plus. When we mentioned she was afraid of other dogs, they did not linger. Just exchanged pleasantries and kept moving. We are walking on "sit" and she is at about a 90% response. She will be evaluated for 1:1 obedience training on Wednesday night. Off to walk her. Have a good day.
