Night Seyla.  Night Meece.  Night JO.  Night Ainm.

Garfield won't let me sit back on the couch - he likes to crawl and lay behind me so nothing else to do but go up to bed and await the snow.

    Night Garfield.

Morning Seyla.  Morning JO.  Morning Meece.  Morning Ainm.

So far got about 8 inches on the ground.  They closed the office, I think not because of what we got already but because it's supposed to snow through the day and into the night.

Going to get my coffee and then may make first pass at the driveway since it's heavy snow this time.

Do you lose pay when they close the office?

No, it's a paid day off.  If they had opened and I chose to not drive in bad weather, no matter how dangerous, they would have made me take it as a vacation day.  They did that on new year's eve when I tried to get in and had to turn around and come back home.  I didn't think it was fair because I made the attempt but since others made it in...  I even worked from home when I got back but it didn't matter.  I think they should have left me alone and given the ones who risked their life an extra day off.   But, I'm only a worker-bee, not management.

However, my DS works there as well through a temp agency so he probably won't be paid for today.

    Good Morning Sisters!

Patoo...your story brought back memories. In the 70s i was working in an office and there was a blizzard going on my ex husband now drove me to my job. There were 3 of us there. Half an hour later they announced they were closing and we could go home with full pay. The next day the big boss wanted to see all 3 of us. We thought the worse of course. We go in his office he shook our hands, Thanked us and gave each one of us $10.00 cash.

I never forget that day, and we couldnt discuss it. Nobody knew what happened in that  office.

Now I drink my coffee and watch the snow coming down. It looks so beautiful.

Yes, the trees are very pretty.

The 70's - $10.00 was a lot of money back then.  I think I was making about $125.00 a week!    Funny though, I had more money to spare back then.

11.05 pm here - it's been a long few days. A good neighbour died suddenly after a massive heart attack on Monday morning and I've been helping out at his home over the past two days - his burial will be on Friday. So sad for his family.

I am sorry to hear that, Ainm.  You'd better go ahead and get to bed.  Don't wear yourself thin.

Night Ainm.  Condolences to the family.  You are a wonderful friend to be helping in their time of need.

I'm bushed.  Had 3 appointments with the shovel today.  Going to find a heating pad, tylenol and a glass of wine.

Night Meece.  Night JO.  Night Seyla.  Garfield will probably curl up on my lap for his goodnight.

I always fell like I am saying goodnight to a dark house.  I'm sure everyone is safely tucked in for the night.  Sleep well, friends.

The heater hear at work was malfunctioning this morning and it wouldn't heat higher than 64!  I am not a 64 person, more like 74-78.  I hate being cold.

Ditto on hate the cold and ice and snow.  Wanted to head south when I retire in a few but seems I have to go further south if I want it to be warm in the winter!  Aruba and Belize are beckoning.

Night JO.  Night Ainm.  Night Meece.  Night Seyla.   Looks like Garfield ditched me tonight.

Aruba...My first vacation. I loved it. And English is widely spoken. And Hurricane free.

I have never been in Belize but it looks like a beautiful place.

    Good Night patoo

    Good Night JO

Good Night Ainm  (You are already sleeping)

Good Night Meece    (I left the light on so you wont be in a dark room later)

Garfield is on the back of the couch looking out the window wondering how he can get at the wind chime that keeps moving in the breeze. So cute.

Night Meece (turn off the lights to keep the bill down or we'll have to just leave you a flashlight.

Night JO.  Night Ainm (or good morning when you read this).  Night Seyla.
