PM - Hope all went well for you today and that you will get some relief.

DH is due home tomorrow night!!

I'm meeting with a lady from an Alzheimer's Support Group tomorrow to see if they can offer me any help in how to deal with my Mum.  Lately she's begun to dwell on the fact that her parents and my Dad are dead - she thinks they just died now although they have been dead nearer to 30  years.  She has phoned me 8 times in the last two hours to 'tell' me that they are dead!!

I treated myself to a fire tonight!!  Might even be really nice to myself and make some cocoa!!

Hope everyone is doing well. Laughing

So good to hear from you, Ainm.  So sorry you are dealing with this.  I remember how it was with my Grandfather suffering from Alzheimers.  When he could remember who I was he wanted to know why my mother wasn't there, other than that he thought I was my mother.  I was 26 when he passed.  He must have been impressed how well my mother was aging!

    hehehe,

Meece - I have to look on the funny side or it would just get me down.  I keep telling Mum that if her parents were still alive they'd probably be contenders for the book of records for long life!!

It can be very tiring though - when I'm not actually with her she phones - a lot, I can't tell you when last I had a meal without interuption or when I was last able to watch a full progrmme on TV or even have an uninterrupted nights sleep.

But enough of that - I guess it's a little off topic really!!!  Think I'll head to bed and then tomorrow will come faster and DH will be home this time tomorrow evening!!!  Oh - I'm really looking forward to him coming home.

    (((((((Hugs)))))))

Ainm, I feel for you girl.  I am fortunate that my stepmom is with my Dad & she takes great care of him, but he recently has decided that she is his mom, which is heartbreaking for both her & I.  I hope that the group can provide help for you.

I am so glad youcan still chuckle, Ainm.  If we can give that to you, we've done a good day's work.

Eph, I am so glad your step mom has someone who appreciates what she does for their father.  Wish my Skids thought that way.

I agree - why do people plan things at 8am on a Saturday morning.  Did 5K walk this morning and had to be there at 7:30am - what's wrong with 1pm so I can sleep in!!!   Although I would probably still wake up at 7am but at least I could lay there or have a leisurely cup of coffee.

    Enjoy your Saturday my sisters.

My Saturday (or Suterday in Meece's world) is generally 8AM at the latest, which is much better than the 6M during the week!  But I made it to 9AM today-after the hour interuption to take Mom to the airport!

Suturday, is the romantically foreign sounding day of the week in which you try to cram in all the housework you didn't do during the week and still go do something fun, thus, no sleeping in.

Just wanted to thank you all for your well wishes on my epidural last week. It seems to have helped very much but will find out today if another one will be helpful. Turns out Chemo. is to blame for the pain. Doc. said it's very much like a person with a bad sunburn. My nerves are are like burnt skin and very sensitive to the touch.

Paulding, did they give you hope for healing of the nerves?

So glad that the epidural has helped.  Are they going to give you another one?
