My son does not make friends easily and this is one of the reasons I want him to go to this school. He was diagnosed with asperers last yr and it has been difficult for him since he started school. He is not interested in things other kids are. He is a hands on guy and wants to grow food. He is already building a green house by himself. The kids who attend all have the same interest, farming of some sort. The new school yr is not for 8 months so I have time to go visit and talk to other parents and students. He really wants to go.

Eli- tomorrow is FRIDAY !!!!!! Hurray for you!!!!!!!!!

Diana, sometimes an environment like that can be helpful for someone with an ASD because it is orderly and predictable.

Meece, we all want to know the text! When I was in FL with a group from BCO we had a pot luck night in someone's condo. At the end of the night I went back to my condo and when I started unpacking I found that I had an extra bowl. So I texted one of the women and said "I have your bowl, do you want it now or can you do without till tomorrow?" Except I did by voice text too and it put balls instead of bowl. Go back and read it again :)

Eph, do you think Mr. Smith took the time to show her the other when they got home? Ha!

Eli, I'll probably be late coming in tomorrow night, so let me be the first to congratulate you on the LAST treatment - woo hoo! I'll do pics worthy of the occasion tomorrow night when I have a little more time :)

Hi, went to Dr. today, I have the flu and pneumonia in my left lung, had to have a chest xray to confirm it. Now I have the Z Pac antibiotic, and Cough syrup with codiene. Also had the Flu shot in Sept., works well. Still taking Tamoxifen hope it doesn't get lost in the body while taking these other meds. I've been off work since last Friday, good thing I went to the Dr. today.......Now I wish I would get sleepy. Not happening yet. Night Ladies.

Eli- I want to go to Hogwarts. I need some magic and it would be nice to cast a few spells here and there.Wink

    This is the school. www.means-gwh.org

I have to now get his father to agree. That's where the spells would come in handy.

Okay, Marlegal, I will try to remember how the text went...Something like...

"Yes, DIL, please bring the titanic pocket square, we might use hem instead."  She didn't respond until I retyped the request a half hour later.

"Yes, DIL, please bring the tie and pocket square, we might use them instead."  She spent a half hour trying to figure out what a titanic pocket square was and if she actually had one, or perhaps it might be a way she should fold the pocket square for the ringbearer.  Mind you, the ringbearer was 16 months old and the pocket square was all of 3/4" x 1 1/2" when folded.

It was very funny to think how she was trying to figure out what it was.  Maybe not so funny now, or in writing.

I read Tom's story to my DH and I was in tears trying to read it to him.  He didn't think I should be laughing so much at Tom's injury...until the punchline.

It's Friday Eli!!! I thought that I was excited for last Friday (end of my first full time week back at work).

Gonna ditch work today so I can be in your pocket to help you celebrate!

A song just popped into my head - "I just wanna celebrate (yah yah) another day of living!" Let's all dance!

I'm done...I'm done...I'm done, I'm done, I'M DONE!  Done with radiation, done with chemo, done, done, DONE!!!

Well, considering that I woke up at 5 a.m. with my guts rumbling and never went back to sleep, I did a fair amount of skipping today.  First a victory skip around the linear accelerator table, then a winding skip thru' the nurses station, a brief lobby skip.  All that with my little chemo ball and chain still attached.  After getting that taken off, more skipping ensued, with a few woot, woots on my way out of the MOs office.  Finally, down in the big lobby, I arrived at the big brass bell.  Rang that like I was on Wall Street the day Microsoft went public and accompanied myself on the tambourine for a more cacophonous effect.  Both of my boys were there with me and, due to my verbal preparation, they knew better than to subdue me or to even feel the slightest embarassment.

Afterward, we walked across the street and fed some ducks with a (hot dog) bun.*

(*)  Enacting an "Itchycoo Park" moment.  Google the lyrics, you'll see.)

WooHoo Carollynn. Doin' the happy dance for you too.  Dubai fireworks are in order again.

I'm going for mammo on Monday.  Left side had followup in July with nothing found.  This would have been my yearly date.  Worried only in that mine was found on the mammo last January. Pocket party say around 9:00 Texas time?  Know that's early but what the heck. You can jump back out and go back to bed.
