Zumba this morning, then I had lunch with 3 friends. I spent the whole rest of the day cleaning the house, washing bedding & doing yardwork. I am definitely tired tonight!

    Gym Sunday/Monday…today work and work!

I always love seeing a pic from your local walk/fundraiser…very inspiring that someone in your community got that going. TT

A local car dealership sponsors the run. Another dealership sponsors an ALS walk/run in the fall. One of the good things about living in a smaller town!

Bruno decided he absolutely needed to go for a walk at 6 am! So I have been up for awhile! I went to Dance2fit at 8:00, run errands (which included getting one pot of flowers and 2 hanging baskets). Another dog walk & Core tonight.

TT: hope you don't have to work and work every day this week.

Ruth: As always, great WWW picture.

I met my friend to play Mahjong today. 2 other people joined us which made it different from playing with only 2 people. It was fun as I continue to learn the rules of the game. It has a lot of rules.

Walked this evening. I'm getting acclimated to the heat and humidity.

HIT this morning & Dance2fit tonight. Dance2fit was a fundraiser for someone in our community who is very sick. We dressed up for Christmas, danced to Christmas songs, and brought presents.

Ruth: Sounds like a marvelous way to honor someone who is very sick. So special.

I got my heart monitor today that I will wear for 2 weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed for good results. Was told to not exercise today but can return to fast walking tomorrow.

Tai Chi Wednesday then regular gym Thursday evening and Friday lunch…yeah, so only Tuesday was work and work.

This makes 3 weeks with 5x at the gym/week.

Moving into vacation season for the gym instructors, so will have to do something else to get more than 4 regular classes each week.

I haven't yet acclimated to the southern Virginia summer heat/humidity (good for you Wonderland) after our blissfully long cooler spring, but will need to to be able to walk outside any distance.

We are headed into another stretch of a week of rainy or chance of T-storm days…already have had outdoor concerts cancelled this weekend. Hopefully the weather cooperates for next weekend which is a big music festival for us.

Be peaceful with the heart monitor, W, it seems like you have had good results from your procedure, this is just getting the evidence 😍

Happy father's day weekend to all celebrating with the folks who are fathers (bio or just by love). TT

It is unusually cool here, which I better not complain about to all you dealing with heat and humidity.

I went to the circuit class this morning & dog walked this afternoon. DIL's parents are camping up here this weekend, so we will do something 'Fathers Day' with them, I think tomorrow (the weather will determine if it's a cookout or a restaurant situation. Stay tuned!

Sounds like a fun weekend, Ruth.

TT: Like you, we are heading into a week's weather of will it rain or will it not rain. Hopefully it will clear in time for the festival next weekend.

Heart monitoring is going well. So far I haven't had to push the button and record any odd feeling.

    Walked this morning.

I went to a No Kings March and on two dog walks today....and to a picnic lunch.

I also went to a No Kings protest. Loved every minute of it, although it was hot. I stayed until the very last minute when it ended.

Ran errands this afternoon. The garden is starting to produce so I made some fresh zucchini blueberry (some I had frozen) bread. I fried some fresh yellow squash to go along with supper. I prefer steamed squash with onion but I fried it tonight because that's his favorite way to eat it. The tomatoes are looking good but not quite ready to be picked.

I went out into the garden yesterday and had a real workout!! The tomatoes had not been planted yet because of fear of

Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV): Symptoms, Control, and Treatment

Yes, the head gardener (who cannot actually garden) and the first assistant gardener are smokers. First assistant gardener is upset with me because I (in the early spring) didn't transplant the strawberries gone wild. I apologized, and will help him with the weeding.

Fitbit is instructing me to keep my cardio load between four and eleven. I pushed it up to 60. Actually, I feel pretty good. Today is a cooking day. Which can be a workout in itself.

The rain we were expecting yesterday is going south of us.

Gardening is a really good workout! You use many muscles you don't usually use. I almost always get more cardio than my fitbit recommends. I figure more is better.

I bought some 'fill in' annuals, which are on sale, so will spend a little more time planting today or tomorrow. That & dog walks will be my exercise today.

mcbaker: Sounds like you have a big community garden. We have a small one and are now getting yellow squash, zucchini, and 2 days ago the cucumbers started coming in.

Ruth: You always have pretty flowers.

Went to see a symphony perform the soundtrack to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire while watching the movie. We went last year to hear the symphony play during another HP movie. Loved it so much we decided to go back again this year. Plan to return next year for the next movie.

I received some fabulous news today. DD and her dh are expecting their first child - a boy! She told me a few weeks ago that she was pregnant but found out the sex today. They have tried for a very long time to conceive and they are over the moon. Dh and I are over the moon also! ❤️

    Congratulations Wonderland, great news!

DH and I were the only members of our Sunday School class that didn't go to No Kings… our Sunday School class is a contemporary issues class, so that part is no surprise, but folks who went ranged from 40s-80s, 4000 strong for my moderate sized town of 20K.

Got to gym Sunday evening and today at noontime. TT

Zumba this morning & I'll go to the weight lifting class tonight. We finally go a little, nice rain; so if it would ever warm up, the flowers & gardens should take off! It is horrible to see the bad weather reports from other parts of the country.

TT, I would like your Sunday School class!!

Went to a new gym class last night due to all the vacations of my normals…it was okay…not my favorite, but I did feel much better having gone than just going home after school!

Here's the Wednesday Walking Women. I'm watering now & pretty soon we take off for Bruno's appointment with the specialist for his next prolotherapy shot. Hopefully by now he'll have a pretty good idea as if this all is going to work!

TT: Hope your mom had a good doctor's visit.

Ruth: Looks like a big number of WWW ladies today. Give Bruno a pat on the head for me. Hope his shot works and he can get back to the Bruno we all have come to know and love.

I walked yesterday. It's getting hot and hotter here. Humidity and dew points are high. Being careful and walking at the flat tract as opposed to the one I like with slopes and definitely is not flat.

Today I hauled and spread 29 pine needle bales around the front of the house. It cooled down some and lightly rained for 15 minutes plus there was a breeze. So glad it's done for the year! Usually we do it in the spring but not this year bc of dh's back and my ablation. I'm happy to report that all went fine today. I am to wear my heart monitor for another week so I'll be able to review how my heart performs during my exercise.

    Walked this evening.

Doing well at staying within the parameters recommended by Fitbit. Walking dog only twice a day, but that is also good because of the heat. May go to the gym for some weight work.

McBaker: Always good to stay safe in the heat. It's going to get hotter as the summer goes on.

Met a friend this morning for a walk and then sat around and talked.

I went to the strength class & on two hot, humid dog walks. Right now we are in a Severe Weather Watch; with high winds, hail & maybe even a tornado. Yikes! We had one cell go through already with quarter-sized hail that was bouncing as it hit the ground. Luckily we had gotten all our flower pots and hanging baskets into the garage and storage shed before it hit. It could be a long night here!

With trying some new classes, I got 5 classes again this week!

Our town's music festival did get on this weekend, today The Band Perry, tomorrow The Beach Boys. We got comp tickets for The Band Perry and saw them for an hour and their big song from 10+ years ago, If I Die Young.

We had terrible storms come through here Friday night. There is lots & lots of damage all over town. Trees down everywhere, power outages etc. We spent the whole day yesterday cleaning up & finally our power came on at 11:00 last night; although many parts of town are still without power. It's a mess & will take a long time to get things back to 'normal'!
