    Pilates/Stretch & a dog walk.

Yoga, two walks & watered all the Perennials. It's supposed to by 90 the next three days, which is very unusual & not good for things just peeking out of the ground!

Decided not to work out today as its in the mid to high 80s

We walked the dog early because it is in the 90s here & very windy. Ick!! Very unusual weather for North Dakota in mid-May!

We had mid 80s here. Usually is about 20 degrees cooler.

We are probably usually 30 degrees cooler. I am watering my perennials like crazy so they don't die when they pop out of the ground. I want to plant a few new bushes, but it's too hot!

I'm off to Zumba in a few minutes & will go to HIT tonight.

oh my gosh Ruth, that is crazy for North Dakota!

Off to gym at lunch time, missed my usual Sunday evening class so as to spend more time with my mother on Mother's Day. TT

    Crazy weather, Ruth!

We are having a few days of cool rainy days. I love that the temps are cool.

I've been continuing to clean/sort/clear out the church craft and storage room. It has been my strength building and aerobic workout for me. I've carried heavy boxes and heavy trash bags up and down stairs. One of my sisters volunteers with an organization that donates classroom supplies to teachers and schools. I met with both my sisters yesterday to have lunch plus to transfer all the supplies I had gathered. This was the second time I met them to give them the supplies.

I went back to the church today thinking I was getting near the end of working. I saw a desk that I hadn't really noticed. Opened up the first drawer and there was a brand new large pack of pencils - my work is not done lol. Also the church used to operate a day care but it closed years ago. I'm trying to get others to come take some of the items that are still usable.

Anyway, that's what I've been doing for many days!

It'll be in the 50s here by the weekend! Plus they are saying rain coming, we really need it here!

Still in the 90s & windy here. It's supposed to start raining Thursday & get down to 32 on Friday. Geez!!

I went to Core & Zumba.

That is real work Wonderland. Thank you for recycling the items to your teacher friends and others vs simply dumping them. Pencils still work even after sitting around for years 😁

Off to Tai Chi at lunch

Getting reading for graduation this weekend, then next week to clean off my desk/office…haven't seen some of the surfaces of my office for 6 months! TT

Wonderland, teachers love & really appreciate those donations!

One of our members invited the Wednesday Walking Women over for breakfast after our walk this morning. The weather is supposed to change tonight, with the threat of severe thunderstorms. Stay tuned.

Good luck with your end-of-the-year declutter, TT!

Another great WWW picture. Be safe in your crazy weather this weekend, Ruth.

TT: Graduation time is so rewarding!

Yesterday was dh and my wedding anniversary - 42 years! We celebrated by going to an Andrew Wyeth art exhibition. It was fabulous. Below is a picture I took of one of his paintings. The bull looks like a photograph, not a painting. Met dd for dinner at my favorite restaurant. It was a fun day.

Went back to the church again today. I finished clearing out that one desk that had the pack of brand new pencils. Then I saw a piece of furniture that was hard to get to bc chairs were all around it. It had built-in storage. Part of me said open it and another part said don't. Well, I decided to and found a new pack of fine tip markers, several packs of unopened construction paper, and a stack of nice colored paper. Glad I opened it so now those items will get to classrooms. I have also been keeping a small collection of supplies for when my gd gets old enough it use them (markers, colored pencils, construction paper, scissors, alphabet stickers, etc.)

Happy Anniversary, Wonderland! Sounds like a great celebration.

We had a very, much needed, rainy day yesterday. It's cold & very windy today, and then I don't know what will happen next! I went to HIT & Dance2fit yesterday. I am off to pilates/stretch in a few minutes. Tonight I will go to a retirement party for two guys I taught with at the Middle School.

The NC Museum of Art always has great exhibitions…we try to go whenever we are at NC State for homecoming (DH's school)

Got to the gym last night and going soon at lunchtime…that will make M/W/Th/F this week…that's good for my health and mental health!

Will be working through the weekend with a variety of graduation activities…it is going to be mid-upper 80's. A little too hot to really feel comfortable at an outdoor event wearing graduation robes, but sunny and warm is better than rainy and inside a sweaty gym!

    Happy weekend everyone! TT

Yoga, a short walk & now I'm going to cover up some plants because it might freeze tonight. 🥶

We had frost and freeze warnings here in NW Wisconsin

    Yikes on the freeze.

Got to the gym last night for my stretch and core class.

    Off to yoga at lunchtime.

We had graduation this weekend, but grades for underclassmen are due mid-week, so we are in this weird whiplash of the high of graduation and the grind of grading.

Happy start to the week, TT

    Crazy weather, Ruth and m0mmy!

TT: How inspiring to see your students graduate. Must be very rewarding.

On Saturday dh and I visited our granddaughter. She's 6 months old, crawling, standing by pulling herself up. Won't be long before she's fully mobile.

I'm finished with The Great Church Clean Out (that's what I've been calling it). I have one more load of items for my sister to deliver to Classroom Central.

I walked yesterday. Today I've been working in the yard for close to 2 hours - pruning, weeding, hauling to the front. Our blueberries should have been pruned in January or February. i'll get them next year. Things that would have been done in the spring didn't get done bc of dh's back surgery and my ablation. We are both improving every day so able to do some yard work. Dh has planted the garden. But guess what, we hired someone to mow for the summer! It's been great. He has mowed 5 times already and so thankful we didn't have to do it! For now, he only comes every 2 weeks but we really need him every week and a half. All that good rain has made the yard grow.

I am glad you hired someone to do the mowing, Wonderland. It has always sounded like a full time job!

A strength class this morning, rainy dog walk this afternoon, and Core tonight.

Sigh!! A combination of stress, pain, age, and too much exercise pushed me over the limit, according to my fitbit. Called it danger of developing overtraining syndrome (LOL!!!). For people like me, it is called post-impairment syndrome. The threshold is much lower. I have gone through that several times, and it is something no-one wants. So I must obey Dr. Fitbit (yes they are careful not to say such a thing) and gradually increase my activity levels. I was already having several symptoms.

It's smart to listen to your body and/or your Fitbit; especially when you are starting out.

Here's the Wednesday Walking Women. If you look out the window, you'll know why we were inside!

McBaker: Sorry about your post-impairment syndrome. It appears that Dr. Fitbit knows when to contact you.

    Ruth: Looks cold and rainy.

Didn't do much yesterday. Today I had a haircut, met my friend to pay Mahjong for several hours, had a facial (a Christmas gift), and ended the day making a lasagna. Too windy to walk outside.

The sun has finally broken through here! I went to HIT this morning & Yoga tonight. This afternoon, I went on a scouting trip for flowers. I think it will be safe to start planting this weekend. Yea!!

Pilates/Stretch & a dog walk. I bought a peony to replace one that didn't come back and a lilac bush to plant by the house. My plan is to get them in the ground & transplant some ferns before I start buying flowers.

Dh and I met my sisters, brother, sil, and bil for lunch today. It was at a sports bar that had pool tables so my sisters, sil and I played who can hit the most balls in the pockets. It took awhile lol.

Walked this evening. The air was cool and refreshing.
