Mary-rest and take it easy!
I had a good oncology checkup on Wednesday. All set for another 6 months. It took longer than usual to navigate the streets of Boston; there is so much snow!
Hoping those who are waiting get their mammo results soon. So hard waiting for test results.
2/11 50 min on treadmill. Run/walk
2/12 50 min on treadmill (walking) and a Zumba class after school. I hit 24,000 steps on my fitbit.
2/13 50 min on treadmill run/ walk but my back is pretty sore from Zumba- not sure that is the right exercise for me. My brain had to work super hard to figure out the steps.
I signed up to meet with the personal trainer at the gym on Monday to design a plan for me to use the weight machines. I want to be sure not to hurt myself.
Oh and it is going to snow again tomorrow...

Just a bit too chilly today to do my chugg walking, so it was stretching and then 30 minutes on the treadmill. Have a nice weekend, all!

Welcome Bus74.
Wonderland you wear me out just reading about your painting. I think maybe I'll use your painting as my daily exercise.
Odie, Royal Caribbean, I was on Oasis of the Seas last July. Huge ship and we had so much fun. The sheer size is incredible.
Treadmill - 30 minutes again. The voices are just whispering but probably will get louder when the weather warms up, hopefully soon. Supposed to be single digits this weekend. Brrrrrrr
Night sculpted friends.

Congrats on the good onc visit Ginger.
30 minute jog on the treadmill after work tonight.
To those with ridiculously cold temps and snow this weekend, stay warm. Spring is only 35 days away technically.....

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! I just finished a 45min DVD - strength and cardio.

Did the treadmill this morning...very cold today here & I think I'm getting a cold. (I am self-medicating with chocolate).
Congratulations on your good appointment, Ginger. My 'all clear on the mammo' letter finally came today, so whew, I feel like I can breathe again!
Happy Valentines Day to All!

Welcome to the new ones! Wishing for good results for all of you waiting for your mammogram results. Our receptionist at work was complaining the other day about having to go for hers; I said be glad you have something to mammogram! I'm sure the wait is terrible. I know how I feel everytime I get blood work draw, waiting for the tumor marker results. Did 40 minutes on the erg rower this morning for a total of 7000 meters. I wanted to meet a virtual Valentine's Day challenge, which I did.
Happy Valentine's Day to all!

Congrats to those who've had clear scans lately! I can relate to the heart concerns. Being on Herceptin and now getting left side radiation has me concerned some. As if cancer isn't worrisome enough.
I've had a cold for a good two weeks now, but I got 35 slow minutes in on the treadmill today.

Exercise for me yesterday was holding down a 10x10 metal gazebo and moving it in 40's to 60 miles per hour winds. My boot camp instructor would be so proud......

odie, that could be a challenge on Steve Austin's Broken Skull show. He'd probably add a steep hill, tho.
Worked at home Fri as office being painted. Got a lot done and including 20 mins AM yoga at lunchtime. Walked 45 @ indoor track after work. Sat did 20 mins AM yoga, cleaned house, walked 45 @ indoor track, and 20 mins PM yoga. Just paid annual activity center membership so (re)motivated to get my money's worth. ♥ to all

Odie, I'm proud of ya-what terrific upper body strength you have! Oh Cheryl, you and Sid are rising to these swift changes with such grace and not missing a beat regarding class at the gym. Good for you Ginger on your clear and upping workout at the gym during the difficult weather you have been contending with.
Comfortable 3 mile run this afternoon.

Yesterday I did quite a bit of store walking and today was a chore day. One grocery store trip, and then dishes and cooking and more dishes and laundry. I got a lot done, but it wasn't very exciting! Goodnight, ladies!

Hi Ladies,
I have posted this in a few threads to raise awareness of this petition, as I think it's an important cause to all of us. But response has been slow and has basically stalled. I am wondering if many people are not seeing it, so I am now posting it in some of the active threads. I hope you don't mind me doing this. If so, I will delete it.
Some of you might be familiar with Ann Silberman's great blog "Breast cancer...but doctor I hate pink", which has chronicled her journey from diagnosis to metastasis. I know many of us share her concern that Pinktober madness does not necessarily help towards BC research for a cure. She has started a change.org petition requesting that more fundraising dollars be allocated to finding a cure rather than just raising awareness. I am posting the link here, hoping that we all can support this cause, by signing the petition and sharing on social media. Thank You !!

Sadly ending my birthday into Valentine's Day celebration. Had the most fabulous time away with my guy. We got in several hours of skiing on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, my ski boots rub so my right ankle was screaming by Sunday AM. Stuffed in some paper towel to take off the worst of the pressure, so was able to do the ski on Sunday. Gorgeous both days.
Sunday's ski was along the Methow River, so not on the highlands. The really cool thing is that the river sits atop a 1000' deep aquifer. So really an underground lake. Today, we did a couple hours of snowshoeing along the Twisp River prior to the drive back.
We ate extremely well in restaurants featuring local meats and produce from the Methow Valley. Not to mention the splendid breakfasts where we were staying. I brought back some meat from the local butcher, eggs, apples, and pancake mix. Eating the rest of the pasta dish for tonight's dinner.
Today's snowshoe featured a log over the Twisp River that the cougars use as a bridge. (No fools they, who wants to swim it when you can easily cross on a log?) Took me a bit of time to get used to the latest technology, but had a blast once I did. My guy said there was good and bad news: the good was that the cougar didn't drown in the river, the bad was that he wasn't far off from where we were standing!
Lots of other amazing and fun things, and yes, it was wonderful to celebrate Valentine's Day with my guy. No flowers or chocolates, but great company, and the Goddess Venus was there in full force.
More later. Tomorrow, it's back to reality and to getting it all done. But needed a moment to recap and savor the moment. - Claire

Hello ladies! I have not posted in a million years, but I continue to work out on the elliptical for at least 60 minutes, 5 days a week. I also stretch using a band and do as much free weights as possible. I'm feeling great!

Fantastic AnnBR!
Have to admit, it has been a glorious day here, sunny and clear blue sky. Yet not out in the loveliness as I spent an entire 8 hour day in the gym, learning how to teach induction to every piece of equipment and machine and then role play being the student, doing umtenth reps-x's on everything as I had done to someone else. You name it, I did it and still standing-just.
Off to set up Shrove Tuesday dinner of pancakes, bacon and Lancashire sausage (because darling husband is from Lancashire and thought that would quack his duck).

Sounds like a great weekend, Claire!
Hi Ann! Wonderful to see you back and to hear that you are doing well!
Lilac, glad you have nice weather to go out to when you leave the gym. I KNOW we get an extra workout just putting on and taking off all our winter wear. I went to my Cardio Sculpt class this morning, but I'm sad because I will have to skip the really nice yoga class tonight. (Godson plays basketball, he is a senior & it's their second to last home game of the year......duty before pleasure, I guess!).
