Good grief Heidi. You'd think they could come up with something less torturous. Good luck on your scan today.
I just did twenty minutes on the rowing machine this morning. Now off to do laundry

Here we are back walking inside. I'll do zumba & yoga tonight. My triple header exercise day (which is good because I sub tomorrow and Friday).

My gosh Heidi hope you go back and give that girl a piece of your mind maybe go get a massage and charge them for it
Auroya sending good thoughts to both you and your Mom and hope being together will help heal your hearts. Patoo I can attest you are no hoarder I would blame Mary for coming and dropping things in your garage oh and hopefully you can pack up all your winter clothing and mark the boxes "never to be used again". Thank you for the birthday wishes Ruth and the card was sooooo perfect I have been cake/pie eating since sunday
Last night I did do Body Pump followed by Body Jam, I had requested my favourite release BodyJam #70 and my goodness today my feet feel like I did when I was 27 and danced all night in high heels but it was so much fun, then of course I went out to dinner afterwards. Heading off to Las Vegas in about an hour for a couple of days.

Worked out at home today. 10 minutes on the treadmill, 10 minutes on the weight machine, and 30 minutes Pilates. Now off to have margaritas with my girlfriends. Yay!!

Have fun, Cheryl!
WTF is right, Heidi. Hoping all heals and hope you have great CT results.
Mel: Have fun on your girls night out!
Ruth: Great picture!
Aurora: Wishing you peace and calm with your family.
Good Evening Everyone. Had a good workout today with my walk/run.

I had a nice evening with coworkers last night. We all went out to dinner, something we don't normally seem to be bale to make happen. We weren't meeting until 7:30 in a town that's about 25 minutes away for me, and I almost backed out. In the end, I decided I could go and be tired but have fun, and I'm glad I went.
I walked about 1.5 miles or so today.

((Aurora)) hoping all goes smooth for your travels, including any changes to making your mother's life more comfortable. Have full understanding as I've lost both my parents over the course of nearly 20 years of living abroad. HeidiHill, alright, now I understand as I'm a tiny, single breasted woman (smallest diep flap my PS has ever made, has not been easy by a long shot) and I agree on contortionist positions we are placed in that do in fact wrench shoulders. All good thoughts and strength to you for best possible CT outcome. Good to read of a fun night CassieCat; you deserve it!
Was so tired last night, I forget to post. Went to vibe box and body balance in the morning at the gym. I'm becoming quicker and stronger with my punches (started boxing in January) and think it's working out on resistance machines that has helped. Three mat class day and I'll post later on jumping those hurdles. Off to get my boy to school (rather than take the train like he usually does) as he has a big design technology project to take in for grading.

Yay, my scans were clear! No tumors or spinal injury causing nerve compression. The doctor cleared me to resume my regular activities with the help of cortisone and NSAIDs to tamp down muscle inflammation. I think I'll rest another day cause I don't want to set world records all doped up.

LilacBlue, we're sisters in more ways than one.
Cheryl, I already got a massage, scheduled before all this. I was mad that it turned out more for therapy than just simple hedonism. Next time I will insist on a 10 minute warm up period before my mammo. Thanks for the support everyone!0 -
Congratulations on your clear scans Heidihill

Did a 4K walk round the neighbourhood today and planning on going to the gym tomorrow. Was very windy though - was windswept by the time I got back home!

Heidi, congrats!

Woohoo, Heidi!!

Glad all is well Heidi.
Lilacblue, what is vibebox?? I am intrigued.
I had mexican food and margaritas to work off today: 30-minute treadmill run, 15 minutes on elliptical machine, and 15 minutes Pilates. I am tired. I think I need a rest day

Meljo - nice to see another Mexican food and margarita lover on here - chips and maggies are my downfall!

All this talk about Mexican food is making me hungry.
Congrats Heidi!
Today I walked/ran four miles on the treadmill

lol @ Mexican food obviously I loveit too but I can't cook if my life depended on it. As of tomorrow I will be sampling authentic Mexican food as I'm leaving to see family and friends in Cancun as we come together celebrating my father's life

Went to the hotel gym and did recumbent bike, treadmill and some upper body weights, then walked around the strip and now I won't lie, I'm heading to the buffet

NatsFan, oh the chips..... like manna from heaven! I can't leave 'em alone.
Auroaya, have a wonderful time with your family honoring your father. I lost my mom two years ago to brain cancer. Such a hard thing to lose a parent. My mom was only 64. I took her for granted and now I miss her every day. DH and I are headed to Mexico in April. It's our first trip there--Riviera Maya. Going with a big group of friends. Can hardly wait!

Doing the Happy Dance for you, Heidi!
Ya'll have me wishing I was eating Mexican food tonight instead of what I have already cooked!
Rain is on its way tonight so I walked/ran earlier today.

Yea Heidi!!!!!

I subbed today (and racked up over 6,000 steps without even trying......which makes me remember why I have to ADD extra moving stuff during the day when I'm not working), went to a birthday party for my little old lady friend at the nursing home, and jumped on the treadmill for a quick half an hour. After reading about all the Mexican food, I made taco salad for supper, and am now off to my Book Club. I predict a glass of wine and a rich dessert in my near future!

Great news Heidi!
Still exercising by packing/lifting/pushing boxes. Need to do it a little better organized as I start picking things from one area and take them into another area, put them down and stay in that area and move other stuff. Like walking in circles pushing things around but never really finishing a box so there are half-filled boxes/containers in each area. Painful experience but will get something done better by Sunday when buyers come with their inspector. Hope he doesn't find anything expensive that needs fixing!
Night sculpted friends.

Happy belated birthday Cheryl! Congrats on the home sale Patoo, congrats on the good scans Heidi...I vote we all celebrate with chips and margaritas...LOL
Busy week but have kept exercising. Boot camp Monday, Tuesday and tonight. Took yesterday off as a rest day.

meljo614 Cancun is part of the Riviera Maya and it's the most beautiful place in the world if I may say so, have fun and enjoy it!. Loosing a parent IS hard. I too feel remorseful that I didn't make wise use of my time with him. I lived in Cancun for 7 years before moving back to the U.S. and during that time my parents and I spent our time trying to change each other instead of enjoying each other. It's too late for my dad. But now I will try to that for my mom.Aurora

Heidi just wanted to add my congrats on the clear scans. Ruth I won $35.00, I'll buy you a slice of cake with my winnings in June

Belated happy birthday, Cheryl! Wish I could go work on those one-armed bandits, but only with my left hand.
Odie, I'm having white wine and tortilla chips with salsa roja now. Cheers to all!

Heidi....glad all is OK other than the pain.
Sad news. My friend died yesterday AM. I am thankful at this point that she is in a better place. But I need some time to take things in. I certainly never imagined that my last visit to VT would be the last time I would see her. We hiked, chatted, explored, ate extremely well, and generally had a blast.
I think I am learning more and more that you need to seize the day as you just never know. So many wonderful memories. - Claire

Yikes have I been MIA! I've been so busy that I haven't been posting. Claire, so sorry about your friend. You are so right that you need to seize the day. I have been exercising faithfully....3-4 days a week on the rowing machine, and fitting in some yoga or pilates after work. Had a wonderful massage this morning which helped the sore muscles from Wednesday nights rowing class. I think our coach wants us to be ready for the Olympics! I'm actually at the point that I look forward to getting on the erg machine and rowing, it no longer feels like something I have to do, more like something I want to do.
Welcome to all the newcomers....so sorry you have to join us in this battle, but glad you are here!
Littleblueflowers, I also had a bleed out following my BMX. I fainted and went down, and somewhere in the process my incision opened up and I ended up back in emergency surgery in the middle of the night. My hemoglobin dropped down to 8 so I can definitely empathize with the profound fatigue that you have been feeling. It takes time to rebuild but it will happen. My hubby was a huge support in that he did all kinds of research regarding foods that are high in iron. We ate spinach every way possible, red meat, clams, etc. It was all I could do to walk up a flight of stairs from the anemia, but today I am stronger than I have ever been. All of these ladies are great supports and great sources of information. I will PM you with some more food tips after hubby gets home (I can't remember all the things he made for me post-op and then for the six months of chemo).
Have a great weekend everyone!

Completely off topic for fitness, but I found the coolest thing called the "Eagle Cam" - streaming live video of a bald eagle nest in Pennsylvania. The babies hatched a few days ago and both parents take care of them. http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt?ope... When I'm on a boring conference call, I take a sanity break and check them out.
Those are a couple of scary fierce-looking parents, yet they're so gentle with the baby chicks. But I now understand where the term "eagle eye" comes from. Off to the cabin for the weekend for the first time since MLK weekend. Can't wait - hope to get in some hiking. Our ancient Subaru Outback died last week, so we bought a new Subaru Crosstrek - we definitely need that all wheel drive to get up to the cabin. We've already installed Mikey's car seat in the Crosstrek, so we'll be all ready to take off after work. I wonder if the bears have awakened out of hibernation yet?

We have an Eagle Cam here in Pittsburgh, PA too. It's pretty cool because the nests are so close to the city! One of the nests (Harmar) is right near where we dock our boat and we sometimes see the eagle flying up and down the river looking for food. Just one of many signs that show that the Three Rivers area in Western Pennsylvania has come a very long way from the dark days of the steel industry!

This is the nest that we can see on the river where we boat

Still little exercise. I absolutely hate packing/moving!!!!! Hopefully will be the last.
Claire, sorry about your friend. One of my best friends is in kidney failure, complications of diabetes and has been getting infections, is confused and is very weak. Ended up in hospital 2 weeks ago and DH just put her in nursing home as his health is also not the best and he really can't take care of her. I'm dreading the coming weeks for both of them. I am 'Phyllis A' and she is 'Phyllis B'. Our sons grew up together. Her son just got married and is a PHd/MD in Chicago. We were supposed to retire to the same part of FL together. They moved in November. Praying that she will be strong enough should they ever find a kidney for transplant.
