    We had lots of those "Eenie, meanie, miney, moe" choosing rhymes and also rhymes to skip rope to:

    What is the first part of this one? I forget!

    (Sometimes it was alligator purse.)

    Some of that sounds familiar...I think we took artistic license with it and changed it, such as" "Mommy, mommy, I feel sick. Call the doctor, Call him quick."

    I'm sure you remember this one:

    Mary had a steamboat, the steamboat had a bell,

    Mary went to heaven, the steamboat went to...

    Hello operator, give me number nine,

    If you don't connect me, I'll kick you right behind

    The 'fridgerator there is a piece of glass,

    Lulu slipped upon it and broke her little...

    Ask me no questions, tell me no more lies,

    Mary went to heaven and the steamboat never died.

    (That one had some variations too.)

    What about songs. We took bus trips when I was in JrHi and Hi school. Whether it was for a rival foot ball game, or to go skiing at Tahoe or to Santa Cruz to the beach or even just to San Francisco to see a Shakespeare play w/the English classes. I got really tired of 99 Bottle of Beer on the Wall. But how many verses can you remember of Found A Peanut?

    And wasn't there one about a frog?

    Actually, the version I remember from my schoolyard days was "came alive again" rather than reincarnated, but close enough, right?

    I recently bought this for my nephews. They were so excited to receive the coin purses. I was happy to find them on the big online store that starts with an "A". I remember my Grandfather carried one of these.

    I had one of those coin thingys as a kid, when my holdings were exclusively coinage. I remember businesses used to give them out with their logos on them. It was more for men so that they did not have loose coins in their pockets (wearing them out.) Yes, my Grandpa had one too.

    Now you have reminded me of something else. This was a promo item that some savings banks gave away. My uncle gave me one and I still have it. I have seen it in a retro collection in a museum!

    Loved those coin purses and I vividly remember the particular plasticy smell! Those bubbles were great and looking at the ingredients I know why I got high blowing the bubbles for my younger cousins. Good times! Linda

    Booklady....so true!! I bought something similar when my nephews came to visit. I swear we all got high on the fumes. It took days to get the smell out of the house!!

    Eli, I have no idea what that is??? Is it an airplane??? I turned my screen in all different directions, and I can't figure it out!!

    Wow, I just saw that coin purse in the key section of an Ace Hardware yesterday. Had to giggle. Also, I love superelasticbubbleplastic!! Bought it for my kids when they were younger every chance I got :-)
