  • ruthbru
    ruthbru Member Posts: 47,709

still more weddings, thank goodness.....I remember my 90 year old aunt commenting, "You know you're old when your entire social life consists of going to funerals!"

like it when bridesmaids wear black or hate it

Not my choice but maybe better than teal or tangerine :)

Would you plan a wedding at noon or at 6:00 PM? Indoors or outdoors?

  • ruthbru
    ruthbru Member Posts: 47,709

A small morning wedding followed by a champaigne brunch. I need it to be indoors because I would be to nervous about all the things that could go wrong with the weather.

Would you have many bridesmaids, ushers, flowersgirls, ring bearers etc. or one personal attendant each.

when we married, it was a rush job (not due to pregnancy :):) so I just chose 1 best friend, she picked out her own dress for the wedding.  It was something I regretted for many years - not having my 2 other BFF's, sister, etc., in the party.  So, in 1996, we newed our vows in Las Vegas, I had everyone who should have stood up the first time plus several more.  40 friends came out of the ceremony and I think at least 20 stood up!  So, yeah, I'd do the whole shebang.

Get very dressed up to attend a wedding or go casual (as so many do these days)?

    windlass Member Posts: 1,813

I get dressed up! (Then, I live in a part of the country and attend a church where everyone else does likewise. Suits and ties on Sundays for the men.)

When you feel emotionally awful, do you curl up alone or reach out for support?

Typically curl up alone and try to work through it.....if I can't, I will then reach out.

Do you ever skip ahead and read the end or slog along through all the boring parts?

  • WellWater
    WellWater Member Posts: 4,524
