Omaz congratulations ! I get to join your club this week !!!! I am donw two pounds also. My strategy is really weird. I am making myself relax in the morning and letting myself have that donut ! I think that since I am a stress eater it is working. Now, having said that I also know that I am exercising less and feel fewer muscles. Hopefully these are real pounds. We will see what next week brings. And of course just to add to my nutty dysfunctional relationship with food I always worry that cancer has come back when I lose weight. Oy ! If I could only learn to enjoy!

Still up the three. I went right from the Thanksgiving feasting to the Holiday Parties.....0

Still at 142.8 But I have to tell you I'm quite happy about it - when I first when on the Arimidex my appetite just disappeared - first time in my LIFE! I was forcing myself to eat, and I went from about 146 to 142. My appetite has caught up with me, and so I'm vey happy to be 'holding' at this weight!

Jenn

Oops, up another 2 pounds. Did start on Lasix today for water retention in my legs, so maybe I'll have better weigh-in next Wednesday.

Congrats to all the "losers"! I, am not on that list this week! Up .7 of a pound..... still trying to be down by 5 pounds for Christmas! (Cause I know I will probably gain at least that much over the holidays!)
Let the new week begin!

Reporting in a day late - played hooky yesterday - our senior recreation group had a trip to DC to tour the White House with all its Christmas decorations and this year is the first year I was old enough to be eligible!! It was beautiful - all the trees and decorations were spectacular and it's such a sense of history to walk the halls of the White House.
Besides the White House, we went to the Library of Congress and Union Station - lots and lots of walking all in the pouring rain, but DC is beautiful, even in a downpour. One good effect from all that walking - I'm down 1.3 pounds this morning. That takes care of my Thanksgiving weight gain, so time to so what I can before the holiday party season gets into full swing.

I'm down a lb and a half this morning. Was down the same yesterday morning. Which means I'm only 1 1/2 lbs from the weight I had reached BEFORE the week's Thanksgiving trip up to IL!
I cannot eat in restaurants and maintain or lose. I HAVE to eat at home where I'm in control of calories, fat and sodium. What I will doing the next 3 nights? Eating out!!!

carole - I agree that it is so hard to eat out. I can't judge well what is in the food. Even ordering oatmeal you just don't know if they put butter in it or not. One bite of everything and no more??0

Didn't get on BCo at all yesterday, again, accidentally on purpose. Was up about 3 lbs but back down about 2 today. So, next week will try again.
NatsFan, I wondered if they still did tours at the White House. Was thinking about taking DS one day but I thought they no longer did them because of all the crazies around. I remember when you could ust drive right by but don't they now have it blocked off?

I think we are all doing really well with our weight. Especially since it is the holiday season. GO US !

Patoo- yes, sadly Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House is all blocked off so the thrill of driving by the White House is a thing of the past. There's actually a lot of controversy in DC about that and whether it was an overreaction or not, but at this point it remains closed.
You can still get tours, but now tours have to be arranged way in advance and requested through your Member of Congress, and you have to provide info ahead of time so the Secret Service can check you out for security reasons before your tour date. That's why our senior rec White House tour is so popular cuz the coordinator handles all the arrangements of getting the tour. But participants still had to provide info in advance (like our Social Security #) for security checks before our tour request was accepted.
Agree about eating out - our county just started requiring chain restaurants to post nutritional info with each item right on the menu next to the price - my last visit to Outback was a very educational experience looking at the nutritional counts for each item - Alice Springs Chicken was shocking!!!! One thing I routinely do at restaurants is when I get my plate, I immediately divide the food in half. I eat half and take the other half home. That way I can divide the calories into two meals instead of eating them all at one meal.

Good Morning - down only 0.2lb because I didn't swim this last week. Gotta walk and swim and eat less. Good though I didn't gain! Passed up a lot of cookies! (c:

Morning everyone! Down 0.8 lb this week..... have been much better with my food choices (only the last 2 days!).... must keep at it. Also still keeping the dailing morning walks and adding a little treadmill at night. Toning can't be far behind!!!

Great news ladies ! Keep up the good work. I have just barely held onto 168. I have been eating like a horse and not exercising. Just today I got in somemorning exercise. Will try to at least do that in the morning through the Holidays.

Natsfan: Just thinking about the White House all decked out this time of year is an extraordinary thought, to experience it must have been phenomenal (I think that tops extraordinary :-) Lucky you and cheers to "senior" benefits!
Omaz and fmakj: Way to go! Double points for any loss this time of year.
JFV: Congrats on fitting exercise in and I'm with you (going back to your previous post) if i don't feel as though I earned a loss, my first two thoughts are "It's cancer" or "I lost muscle". It's hard to just appreciate it.
With that said, I'm down 1.5 lbs today and I don't know why, BUT I'm going to practice a change in attitude. Whooo hoooo . . . happy dance!!!

Congrats on all the weight loss this week - everyone's hard work is paying off.
I'm the bad kid this week with a .7 pound gain (yes, that's a decimal point, thank heavens!). The good news is that my surgeon released me from all post-surgical restrictions yesterday, so I can get back to my normal exercise. The bad news is that the hand therapist (I broke my finger over Thanksgiving) says no weight lifting for at least 2 more weeks. So I can jog and do Pilates, but still can't get back to weight lifting. It's always something, isn't it??
