Hi Everyone,
I was down 1.8 this week. I have been good and as I am doing weight watchers and really sticking to my points.
Looking forward to my 4pt ice cream and to bed! Hope everyone stays well.

hi all, doing the happy dance for those who lost and empathizing with those who gained.
I'm up a couple lbs from last week. Exercise is down - been too freakin' cold to walk much. Stress is up - work sucks right now. Yesterday I ignored the tangerine I brought from home and bought (and consumed) a large box of dark chocolate Raisinets for afternoon snack. Was better today. Hoping for better results next week!

Ack, I'm up 2.4 from last week:'(
So much for losing any more steroid water weight. I'm pretty sure the problem is just being a pig for the last couple days. What can you do? Sometimes the ice cream just tastes soooooo yummy!
As badger says, I'm hoping for better results next week......as soon as I find the will power I lost a few months ago.0 -
Well, missed signing on Wednesday again. Weight was same as last Weds so I guess that's better than going up. We'll see what happens on ELAB tomorrow.

Yesterday I was 158.5. Just 1 lb above my low before the holidays. Today I was 158. Playing 18 holes of golf two days in a row actually earned me 6 exercise points! Ya hoo. My little WW activity monitor has been chiding me for not being active enough.
I do wear inserts for my plantar fasciitis. I bought them from the podiatrist.

ok i went off the wagon. I now work for weight watchers doing reception and training to be a leader so I gotta get my act in gear. I worked there last night and I was afraid to weigh in. so staying on track this week and I will weigh in next time.

Working for WW will surely help you with your act, Carrol.
Up 300 grams. That was either the chocolate cake or more muscles.

Down 3.5 Woot woot - short lived, since I am going to New Orleans tomorrow, land of beignets and mufflettas. I am happy to see a big loss this past week, if I can maintain this week it will be a major victory, but in reality I will probably wipe out my effort of last week. But checking off a bucket list item, going to the superbowl!

Down .4. Not much but I'll take it.
Pat - have a beignet in the morning and a hurricane in the afternoon for me!

Sounds like the perfect storm for some fun, Pat!

Down 2. Finally!!! Unfortunately, I'm down two after being up four, so you can do the math on that one! :-P

Down 2 lbs from yesterday but that weight was 4 lbs up over the weekend! I'm on a yo-yo cycle. Up, Down, up Down. Today 160. Low before holidays 157.5. Hoping to get down to low 150's. Seems so doable. Sigh.....
Pat, have a great time in New Orleans, which is south shore of Lake Pontchartrain. I live on the north shore, about 45 min. drive from downtown NO. Love those muffaletas which are available to me all the time but I rarely eat one because of the sodium overdose. I do drink the cafe au lait because we have a couple of Cafe du Monde coffee shops here on the northshore. I resist the beignets, too, but do I ever envy those people in the coffee shop who are eating them! They smell so tempting!
Wouldn't it be nice if we could eat the things we like and maintain a healthy weight?

Goodness, I must have made a 'Freudian Slip' because I accidently deleted you from my favorites....which I noticed because I actually wanted to check in today. Down two! Now to keep it up....I mean, down!

down four this week, to 168 which is great except the reason is lack of eating due to abscessed tooth. Sore mouth = no food. Saw dentist today and got an antibiotic and a referral to an endodontist. A root canal is in my future. Crap. Not worried about the pain but my (very basic) dental plan doesn't cover so it'll be at least a thou out of pocket. My regular ins doesn't cover this procedure so I wonder if I can count this toward my 2013 out of pocket requirement? Bet I can't but that doesn't mean I won't ask!

Badger, my dh just had two root canals. One was $1200 and the other one was $1400. What a way to start out 2013! No dental insurance.
0 -
holy cow Carole! That's a big bite out of the household budget. No wonder people opt for extraction.

Yep, the painful part of a root canal is funding it! I had one years ago when I first started teaching & had to work the whole summer to pay it off (no dental insurance here either....then or now ).

Down .5 to 133.5. This is still up 2 from my almost-to-goal weight that I decided to celebrate....by eating, how else.
Sympathy for the root canals. Even with insurance they are expensive.

Down .7 (notice the decimal point). I'm still happy enough with this as I have still not been able to stop the late night eating!! Must cut that out!!
Good luck with the root canal, Badger! Hope the abscess pain subsides soon!

Up one pound. Not enough exercise and too much snack food! This week I will get back to tracking and just fruit between meals.
Badger! As they say, "Misery loves company." I also am scheduled for a root canal on Feb 12. I just finished my second round of antibiotic for the abscess. Went in for the root canal earlier in the month and it couldn't be done due to complications of the infection. Infection is into upper jaw bone. Now being sent to a super specialized endodontist to do the job.
I am terrified! All that I have been through in the last few years has made me more anxious than I would otherwise be. And the cost is a real concern for me as well. Not much money left after paying for costs of cancer treatment and now this!

I'm joining Charlotte and Badger in dental misery. I've got three teeth that need fixing. One is chipped and two have caries. I hate dentists! I want to get a second opinion on the tooth where they want to remove the adjacent tooth's crown for access above the gum line. I don't want to risk osteonecrosis of the jaw. Ugh. Sending positive thoughts to you, sisters in dental misery.

hi ladies, I'm in good company but geez another great club no one wants to join LOL.
Heidi, I have a crown and wouldn't want it removed to get at the next tooth over, either.
Charlotte, I hear the actual root canal isn't too painful, it's paying for it that hurts.
I have cleaning & exam regularly so don't hate the dentist but my teeth are getting softer as I age, like the rest of me I guess. I see endodontist Tues for an eval. On penicillin and swelling in jaw going down, taking tylenol for pain, hanging in there. You guys hang in there too!

same.....which is good, as I had my Book Club (or as we call it 'Read and Feed') and a Super Bowl party last week.

Exactly the same here as well. I agree, Ruth - sometimes just holding the line is a victory!

I didnt weigh in for a month so i am up 2.2 not bad considering.

Back from New Orleans and the superbowl last night - had the time of my life. And I did not even give one thought to what I ate or drank. Soooo, this morning it was time to face the music, I got on the scale and nearly screamed with delight - up 1.5 lbs, but I was expecting so much worse! Must have been all the walking we did. Definitely a manageable weight gain, back to basics and being careful now that vacation is over.

Stayed even at 133.5. I'm discovering that my weight varies 2-3lbs daily during the week. Haven't figured out why.

Down 1.8!! Now to keep at it!!

down 2.5 lbs to 157.5 because I was nauseated yesterday and ate very little. Probably some dehydration.
