Actually it's listed under their Go Travelwear, here:

I had to go ask Carol, who worked this out with Go Athletics, because I'd forgotten how it was listed. Order away!

The shirt is still available! It's on Go Athletics' affiliated site, Go Travelwear.

Last year, I had shoulder surgery, and I could not get any compression shirt either over my head, or pulled up over my hips. I was so constricted in a sling and brace, and for a good while, I had a terribly limited range of motion with my arm. I needed a compression shirt for my LE, but it had to open in the front. So, I asked Go Travelwear if a custom shirt could be made, and Margaret, the designer, was fabulous. I paid more than for a stock shirt, of course, but it was a very fair price and so worth it for me, and I had her made a second one for me. Saved me, especially because I really wanted to be in compression during physical therapy.

Well, in my apparently slow and distracted approach to composing my post, I apparently cross-posted with Binney. Anyway, it's never wrong to over-post good information. Margaret at GO went waaaaaay out of her way to help design this shirt, so I do hope we'll collectively remember it when looking for compression garments.

I would order one. How do you determine what size to order?

"Gotravel" !!!!!!
Thanks so much for posting this tonight. I'll order some more. This is the best shirt for what is ailing me!!!!!! I just couldn't remember the web address.

Carol57: My LE goes from armpit to armpit, and this shirt really does offer a great amount of compression for my needs. I have had my shirt for a year, wearing it at least 3 times a week, and it's held it's shape and done great in the washer and dryer. The price point is very decent, and I appreciate you recommending this, and I appreciate Go Travel too! There just aren't enough garments for truncal LE.

Is the 2x true to size or run small?
0 -
I went by the chest measurement only, which for me is 34, and I got a Small. It fits ok. But naturally, Murphy's Law, the one spot where I really have swelling, right in front of armpit, is the one spot where the shirt does not even touch the skin. It's snug everywhere else. (Not uncomfortably so.)

I see you had cording Jeannie. Me to. Did.it ever resolve? Any tips? I'm 11 weeks post DMX with cording in both arms

tsoebbin: I think it is. I noticed on their web-site last night that it runs from small to xxL. So I am going to call and see what size I ordered last year, and make sure the XXL is a 2X. My shirt size says 2X, and it was true to size.

If you know of another discussion regarding cellulitis please send my way! I post here because it is caused by the lymphedema. I get recurrent cellulitis, have has it 100 ? times since Jan 2009 (it started after my mascetomy and the same day I started chemo). I have had it 5x so far this year. Usually teh protocol is 3 daily shots of Rocephin followed by Amoxy 875 for 10 days. Last time I had this July 20, it had been 3x in 3 weeks so teh infectious disease dr kept me on the amoxy prophylactically 500 mg 2x day. This time I was thankful for 6 week break. I am really having a hard time keeping up my spirits, I get angry and feel like they are missing something. I am not so sure this really is cellulitis anymore. Anyone relate? advise? I have seem many different drs seeking a proper dx, I think they think I am crazy now. This past episode landed me in the hospital fever spiked to 103.7 BP was 194/94, I did a few days of Vancomyacin IV antibiotics, and am feeling better but not great. Thoughts and prayers welcome. PS my lymphedema seems to be pretty controlled and there was no apparent explanation (no bug bit, scratch or bruise) Thanks Terri in Michigan

Terri, if you do a search on here you will find plenty about cellulitis, but this one is especially informative.

tsoebbin, yeah, I was 'lucky' enough to get the evil cording. The worst part is none of the docs had a clue. I had to figure it out myself. I don't want to discourage you because everyone is different. Most of the stuff I read said that it would gradually resolve by itself. That was not the case for me. Then I was 'lucky' enough to get a PT lady who thought she could 'massage it away'. That caused my LE. So please, be very careful. Stretch, but gently. Let them massage it, but gently. If anyone starts putting more pressure on it, so that it hurts, stop them immediately. LE is worse than cording.0

I hate the constant - "How did you break your arm?" - because I wrap, when I am doing it. It's just constant, constant, constant frustration. Maybe it's because I had that glimmer of hope my last PT session. She worked on my hand long enough to get my fingers back to their normal size. I wrapped, and my armed puffed back up. She says my wrapping looks at least as good as hers. If I just use the white bandages on my hand at night, my hand will respond well, but the rest of my arm doesn't.
At night my upper arm hurts so badly. It's hard to do self care when I'm at home because I'm sleeping with someone else. Then it's hard to sleep with the arm elevated, I always wind up sleeping ON it - the worst. I wrap less.
And when I had to be in the hospital for a week with a seroma from my November surgery, no one would admit it contributed to me getting LE.
I hate LE. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it.

For sizing questions on the GO shirts, I'd recommend getting in touch with the company. It's woman-owned, by the lovely Margaret. There's a size chart you can use, and their return policy is very good, but with any concerns, do get in touch--the contact info is on the website. Jennie93, you might ask Margaret if she thinks a nip or a tuck here or there might add compression where you need it. That could mean paying for a custom shirt, and you'd want to ask about returns, but I think she would work with you back-and-forth to try her best to meet your need.

The GO shirts look awesome. Maybe headed there. I have a question for anyone on the LE diet, i.e. gluten free, anti-inflammatory etc. I ate something for dinner last night that may have had gluten and or preservatives in the sauce, otheraise thought it was okay. Up all night in pain, swelled and left arm started going numb. Can that happen from suddenly being exposed to stuff I cut out? Dh thinks I had an allergic reaction.

If you are glutin intolerant it can cause system wide inflammation, more so than if you have Crohn's disease. So it is possibly an LE trigger for some. My LE has greatly diminished since I'm glutin free and/or my breast and auxila had healed from Rads.

OMG... I feel my armpits again! I started wearing my compression sleeves last week, I wonder if the lymphedema swelling going down is why I can finally feel them again!? Progress!!
I've lost about 40 pounds and my swelling has gone down so they don't fit perfectly, but the custom sleeve company (juzo) is remaking them for free for me. I should have them in a couple of weeks.
Fingers crossed I keep progressing. So many things to learn and deal with. Thank you so much for your help this last couple months.

Juzo & LympheDivas are my favorites. Wish the latter would make gloves with shorter fingers, though. (No custom orders, alas).

Here's a photo of my tie died sleeves!

@doxie My swelling in my arm and upper chest have subsided since last fall when I started a gluten free diet for IBS but I didn't realize that my reduced LE problems coincided with the diet change. I don't have migraines anymore and my Psoriasis has improved. Wish I had paid more attention.

Carol 57: I did call the Go shirt company "Travel Wear by Margaret Mousley", and she helped me with the sizing. I left a message and she called me back. I know one thing the south-east has been hot this summer and I am looking forward to a cool down in the weather, so I get some relief with this puffiness! Susan Snow Flake: I am interested in trying the gluten free diet. It probably would have helped me get through the miserable summer.

Thanks Doxie. I was never gluten intolerant before...although I've had stomach issues for months so maybe I was developing an intolerance.
At least I have years of experience in gluten free for my son who finally grew out of his wheat allergy last year.
Back to LE therapy Friday.

I feel so much better avoiding wheat. Haven't figured out yet if it is a gluten intolerance or wheat allergy. I need to eat a bunch of barley to see if I react to that in the same way. If avoiding wheat/gluten keeps my LE subdued, then that's even better.

paintthesky, I'm so happy to hear that you got some help with the GO shirt sizing. I stayed in touch with Margaret over nearly a year as she worked on a shirt for us. Think about the complications--no two bodies of the same shirt size are really the same size or shape, and then of course we're all a litttle umm, rearranged because of the BC treatments and the individual ways that LE pops up. Margaret has taken on a tough task--make a reasonably priced shirt that works for a lot of women. I thought she was super sincere in helping us, and I really don't suspect that this shirt will make the company's fortunes. I hope you get some great compressive benefit from your shirt.

Was told be therapist today that I need to start wearing a compression tank/cami. I'very been looking at the shirt that was posted recently, UT can anyone recommend a good tank top? There are several on Amazon but it's hard to tell how well they work. Therapist recommended Kohls but their's is pricier and only online.

@ChiSandy, when did you last purchase a LympheDivas glove? I'm at the Living Beyond Breast Cancer annual conference, and spoke to them this evening. I mentioned that I wished the pinky fingers were a little shorter, and the gentleman (I don't remember his name) told me that the fingers are now shorter than they were at first.

Scottie's Mom - my therapist said that a tank top didn't come up high enough under the arms or cover high enough up the back for my truncal & breast LE. I found the Wear Ease Sidney bra and she really likes it. Unfortunately they are expensive, but I can't stand things that go below my waist. It's just too darn hot in Houston. I'm really happy with this product
