Ava would probably freak out if I put her in a stroller. Not that I can pick her up cuz she weighs 75 lbs. But she does like a car ride.

My Rat Terrier loves riding in the car. The dog in my avatar hates the car. Every time we take him, he tosses his cookies. My husband has to ride in the back with him. We always have a ziplock bag so he can throw up in it. He's really good about sticking his head in the bag though. It's actually kind of funny to watch. He's such a big baby.

    Hi all

Next year I will come through LA that's a promise. Hopefully we can spent some time as I want to get down to San Diego to visit a BCO friend who lives there. And Firekracker, never fear we will visit PA. Ducky we went to Philly last time but were with cousins next time we will come by ourselves.

Cold here tonight as there has been snow in the south. It doesn't snow here but we do get frosts.

    Big hugs

Aly would love to see you....just wish I had my bigger 4 br. home so I could put you all up for the night........this is a 1 bedroom, but I have great deluxe air beds with headboards and raised off the floor.............LOL..........

I have a large Ranch, but that does not help when you have 1 bedroom....when they remodeled the entire house from scratch I should have insisted on a 2nd BR, but it is laid out so if anyone bought it and wanted a second BR, putting up just 1 wall would do it........my family room is huge, so is my dining room..............breakfast room, and huge kitchen.......could eve build out the back if you wanted to, and go above if you did........don't need all that.......the house is 1,700 SQ ft.........I should take pictures and let the ladies see the work my son did.......it was a hovel when I bought it, he gutted the entire house.....

OMG Alyson, that would be soooo awesome to meet you!! Wouldn't it be nice if you could come when all the other ladies will be here??? We could have one big PARTAAAAAAAY! I'm about an hour from San Diego. In fact, I live in a "one hour" place. Seems like everywhere I go, it takes one hour. lol

Ducky, your home sounds lovely. I'd love to see pictures!!

I'll take pictures of my guest rooms once they are finished. We are in the process of moving my husbands office downstairs. Now that the kids are grown, we never use our formal living room or dining room. So we decided to move it downstairs and turn the office into another spare room.

I'm getting really excited about next year!!

OMG, that would be awesome! I so want to climb all over Alyson, and give her hugs over and over! If she comes, then SlowDeep, we MUST have a slumber party! Is it just a california thing, where when somebody asks where you are, you tell them in time?  I live in a 3/4 hour place. for all the unpleasant stuff like dr's etc. other than that, I live in a 20 minute place for all the fun stuff, walking or driving: open air mart, coffee shops, thrift stores, bead shop, art store, hardware store, groceries! It's pretty great! My man picked it. Like Ducky's, it was a falling down wreck when he bought it. it was a labor of love for him, and i found out later from a woman he knew then, that when he was doing it, she helped, he would always ask her, "Do you think a woman would like it here if i did this?" ...So, we had already met, and were just friends, but I like to think he was thinking of me. he was working in the town i was living, and then for part of the year he would work on his house. i didn't have a clue about any of this (house), and so the job came to an end, and i was very sad to see him go. he came over to where i was staying, and up to the very last second, i had a lump in my throat and heart to see him go. He asked me if i would like to come to see where he was living. I jumped in his truck so fast, with only a backpack......, and i never left. i do tease him sometimes, and ask him if he would like me to put the "visit" to an end!

Slow - I'm here.  My computer kerps giving me problems so I am using my Nook.  It takes forever to type anything and I can't post pictures.  Seems I have been super busy since we got back from vacation.  Today I plan on relaxing.

Alyson - I do hope you can make it next year.  Three years ago, a few of us BC sisters met up in San Antonio and one of the ladies traveled all the way from Australia.  She had never been to the states and spent 6 weeks traveling around.  She stayed with a few sistes along the way.  What a weekend we all had.  For those of you that are favebook friends, you can see the pictures on my timeline.

Nothing new or exciting here.  I have a bone density scan on Monday.  My PCP has decided I need one every couple of years.  Why?  Don't know.  I have beenseeing him for about 12 years.  This is a new one on me.  I'm fine with this.  He cando the scan in his office so I get immediate results.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Kathe, such a wonderful story about how you met!! He sounds like a really good guy. Thanks for sharing that story. I'm thinking you're probably no longer a "house guest" LOL

Jo, I can understand. When I was waiting for my new laptop, I HATED typing on the smartphone. The auto correct drove me nuts. Nuttier than usual that is

sLuMbEr PaRTy sound like so much fun!! We must do that for sure!!!

I don't like Facebook. I finally caved and got one recently. I wanted to be able to see my faux grandsons pictures - they moved away to Wisconsin. I had that thing for a total of 10 minutes and Facebook wanted to know how I was related to everyone. I think it's very intrusive. I feel like they are compiling these big databases on everyone. It just creeps me out. So, I never use it! LOL I think I have 7 family members on it. I didn't even use my last name. Paranoid much??? LOL

Ducky, where is your partner in crime???

Edited to add: Kathe, did you walk???

I have an alias on Facebook. I mainly got it to keep up with friends across the country.  It is very intrusive.

Today is my one year anniversary of my mastectomy!  Let's get pizza for the slumber party!!

Alyson - One can't help but love Chrissy.  When you see her again, would you give her a big hug for me?

Kath - I am usually on here the weekends.  I typically don't post much but will so you do know I am around.

SDB I've actually been TOO busy.  I've made 2 batches of raspberry jam.  Two (or was it 3?) batches of boysenberry jam.  Canned dill relish, canned lots of salsa, canned tomato sauce, had an acupuncture session, a dexa scan and a massage.  This afternoon I made a huge pot of chili and did 2 loads of laundry.  I'm pooped.  Hubby is now in Starbucks getting me some tea. My goal for this evening is to be as absolutely bored as possible. Oh yeah also got a rock through my windshield on the way back from the dexa scan, so tomorrow morning will have it (the windshield) replaced.

You don't have to answer all or any of facebooks questions.  You only put out there what you want - not what they want.

I think when you join FB you have to use common sense........you can't control what is done by others, either with your information or information you give out...........but you can be sensible about what you post , which is your way of protecting yourself..................it is a fun way to show people pictures, quotes, places...............but keep your "business, your business".............some people just take FB to a whole new level which is not necessary........just use common sense.........
