Kath you are amazing.....such a loving person........damn your good.
Love those Rav's as we use to call them...my mother in law use to make her own and I helped.....she would put macaroni cheese in hers too........Locatelli grated........such fun doing it, but yes the rolling and kneading is tiring..........you guys make me feel useless......LOL.
0 -
OOPS......sorry GMA.............sounds wonderful......hope it keeps up.....Welcome home........hugs.
0 -
hahaha Ducky...we use the Kitchen-Aide to get it started.
I also add Locatelli. It's difficult to get it here in Ca.
Only one place near us, and they jack up the price because they know they are the only ones that sell it.
Tomboy is ALWAYS up to something. ツ !!
Glennie, don't here people call them sneakers too much here.
When I moved here from NY they always made fun of me when I called them sneakers - they say tennis shoes.
Jo, I'm a flip flop gal too. Probably why my feet are so flat. I hate shoes.
Mommy, I'm with you on wanting to see our loved ones we lost for Christmas.

Slow, that is funny that they call them tennis shoes. I never played tennis, so I would never think to call them that name. In England, they call them "trainers',,,, go figure.0 -
Gma, So glad you checked in and are out of the hospital!
I know someone who takes antianxiety meds before she flies. It helps both her and those who fly with her.
Oooo, Tomboy, I am curious. It gets me in trouble sometimes, but mostly it's fun!

I should have stopped by sooner. Was gone for the day, Christmas shopping & dinner at my Dad's. That went better than I thought, so was a good day after all.
As for what I'd like for Christmas, just for me....Exactly what Alyson said, word for word!! I wish my DH would surprise me, just once! I would love a beautiful piece of jewelry that he picked out himself, not having me go with him & choosing whatever & then him paying for it & wrapping it & giving it to me all excited when I know what the HELL it is!!
I hope you are feeling much better, GmaFoley.
Miss you guys. I know I see several of you on FB & that I should get here more often.
Leaving this coming Sunday for Lake Superior (northern MI) to spend Christmas with my DH, her hubby & my beautiful Grandchildren. I will stop by via my iPhone.
♥ Love you guys!

Val.. HaHa.. Our husbands must all be the same.. Usually about December 23rd mine starts to panic, and makes me go with him to the shops to choose something.. Then.. He wraps it up to put it under the tree.!!

g'morning Goddesses, glad to read the good news and ((hugs)) for all.
I'm throwing two new projects into the bonfire in hopes they burn up before hitting my desk. Already beyond capacity and if I get more work I will have to give up sleeping to get it done. They need to hire another person but are reluctant to spend the money. So they dump work on people, some of whom get fed up and leave, so there's even MORE work for those who remain. Penny wise and pound foolish IHMO.
tomboy, a little more anonymity is a good thing on the web.
beppy, the ravioli look great, can you freeze them? Make a bunch for next summer! ♥

Celebrating with my grandaughter today for her 14th birthday......she is my love......this is Makayla

Slow, I'm impressed. Homemade pasta intimidates me.
Blondie, slippers in size 7... I'm so puffy from chemo; I'm happy that at least my shoe size remained the same!
Ducky, Sounds like a good day. Makayla is beautiful!

FK I have eight or nine more years before I can even think about retirement.
So I have to stick it out; too much invested to walk and too old to start new somewhere else.

I have a friend that was in UR position and when she hit 65 she didn't go
She stayed and threatened to finally go but she was scared
Every week she complained and said IM QUITTING

Needless to say she messed him up..30 yrs.pent up anger
Don't wait ....go as fast as U can...everyone is scared...

Lucy, come on over!
Badger, I'm enjoy watching the new projects burn. Yes! They can be frozen which is what we did for Christmas. We will make another batch next weekend. I will be making them when you all visit next summer.
Ducky, I already commented on that beautiful young lady on the STFU thread.
Poppy, it's really not too difficult - I will teach you!
Kracker, I hope you find those boots.
Val, great to see you!
Happy Sunday to All!

Hi Jo...please don't hide...we are lost without you! I just noticed the flip flop pic at the top of the page...for me? Thanks for the though...I so wish my feet were in the (warm) sand right now!
It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas here...all these wish lists and expressions of love and caring for one another...(smile)
GMa, so glad you got home quickly. I hope you are feeling OK and healing well.
FK, what NEW stove? I guess I miss a lot when I"m not around...I'm watching you with those heels...you know what they told you about throwing out all those spike heels...well, I guess a little wedge wouldn't hurt!
Blondie, pleeeeease get better! Wish I didn't have to work or I'd be there w/u. I will get there again....and soon, I hope. Start planning what you would like to do for a day...anything is possible.
Ducky, your granddaughter is so pretty...you have not posted an un-pretty family member yet! Y'all are beautiful.
About family....I am feeling it too..my kids are stretched across the US from San Francisco to Chicago, DC and Boston...and one not too far in CT (and my grandson in NY)...I have always had family around on Christmas and the last few years we have traveled since the grandkids were little. It's easier for us...
But now that DD #3 is separating, I have two DDs who share the kids with ex & family (all are friendly)...so unless I spend hours on the road, I may not see them this year.
The girls have kids; the boys don't...the boys travel out to my house but then they don't really want to drive 3-5 hour additional. Not sure how it will all turn out.
I say I'm ok about it but am wondering how I will be if I do not spend Christmas with my little grandkids.
Why do our kids not see that they should be respectful of our aging and that maybe it isn't that easy for us to travel.I can't think of anything I want for Christmas...I think I have everything I need. And I have a husband who shops and chooses things for me. And he does very well. Now before you go and elevate him to sainthood, everything comes at a price. He was very controlling for most of my life until I finally started to work full time. Now I can do what I want and need to do; and he still does the shopping and wrapping himself. I never understood when some of my friends would not have their special days acknowledged...I remember them having to pick out something or have nothing. I think that is more common than a guy who shops.
I too want peace and health and love among my kids and it is a very hard wish while there is a divorce happening.
I am trying not to feel broken-hearted.I went shopping this evening and got sidetracked in Home Goods and Bed Bath Beyond mostly getting things to decorate my house. I don't even know if anyone is coming and yet I buy new decorations....nothing big, just some candles and wreaths.
DH wants to get a new TV...we have had the SAME TV for over 23 years - we bought a big 50" back in 1990 and it just won't die! It's a massive piece of furniture and it never breaks down. So, I don't feel like we should replace it until we have to.Rambling here....I am soooooo glad I do not have to work tomorrow night - college is closed after 4. Wednesday is my last day of classes and I am pretty tired.
Throwing on the fire all the family issues that keep us apart...and job problems, loneliness, and for everyone here, health problems.
Hugs...
PS - I agree with the mods that when we want to share personal information, we should use PMs or other ways off the thread.

Good morning everyone
Let's start with those boots....none of them for me.....I need a wedge..Joan remembers when I had to give away 10 pairs of shoes when I had my stomach operation cause they were too hi...im not a combat boot person.lol.
I got a new refrig cause it took 21/2 hrs.to make a meatloaf...stove was old..they gave me one that was in our kitchen where we cook for parties...it's new but I'm getting a newer one on the 18th..
Oh and I have flat purple boots but I need the wedge for my back.
Tryin to get old gracefully but it's hell on wheels..I want the hi heel shoes but it's a no no.
Kath,what is that U posted?
I can't scroll back...I guess bco is still fixin things.
Now I have the large prin...yikes
Ok I'm done
