badger -The only reason I would throw either one of them out of bed is because there is more room on the floor. Laughing

Well, I know this is boring compared to the recent discussion, but I'm throwing the book The Thousand Autumns of Jacob Dezoet into the flames.  Have decided not to return it to the library.  Will just burn it instead.  I will incur the fine in order to see the flames curl around it.  Bye, bye, Jacob!

Also, I recently found in the back of my nightstand a 14-year-old half-used jar of a prescription of lanolin, which I bought after my radiation when first diagnosed so very long ago.  Might as well toss that in, too.

One thing I WILL NOT burn - will leave that to my DH when I'm gone - is my GQ Mag photo of Johnnie Depp sitting at the piano with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.  He is my alltime man.  I know, not much of a body, but the cheekbones, the eyes, the long hair!  Did anyone see  that movie when he was riding round the campfire on the white "steed"?  Hallelujah!!!!

Lane... I am not as familar about movies as I am about books, but I have one burning question. Is that GQ Mag photo of Johnnie framed????

I would love to have it framed on my mantel.  However, it remains in my secret file!  You all need to remind me when I get really sick to toss it out!  My DH knows I love Johnny, but I'd hate for him to find it after I'm gone.  JEEZ!  Something else to add to my bucket list, not to sound morbid!

The name of the movie is The Man Who Cried, with Cristina Ricci.  I need to rent it again.

Jo and Nerida-----That picture is so great. It should become the picture for BC. It amazes me with each viewing . Who is the artist that did it any idea?

OH, The Bonfire of the Vanities is one of my favourite books.  Tom Wolfe really knew how to toast the vulture culture and the social X-rays.

I am torching all the grandma undies I wore during chemo when I gained 35 pounds from the prednisoneI with chemo toreduce side effects.  The wigs (bad in the first place), were bestowed on the fire.  .I pitched all the tubes of radiaplex, got rid of ace wrap dressings  and chucked my incentive spirometer. However the one thing I did Not let go of was doing a visualization of the bone met in my sternum abd meditating on that spot and bathing it in a powerful healing light of cobalt blue, gold and green.  Now, a clean Pet Scan.  Yay ME!

Nerida----------can you imagine the strength of the picture, and not have someone take credit for it. Thats a waste., from the point of view that it a great piece of symbolic art. I stare at it and lose myself, because she is me and I feel her fire. The irony is she is google wallpaper. In a different time they would have consider it great art.  Well we will enjoy her strength and fury

Jo ----since she is google wallpaper and they don't give a hoot. Lets create a name that can be added to your thread box?

Next time I come down to the bonfire...you'll all recognize me...wrapped, not in a blanket...but in THAT wallpaper!   Better yet...never mind the wallpaper....we should custom make blankets using that picture as our logo on them.  Wouldn't that be the best or what??!!  And a flag too!  Yep.  That's it.  A flag and the blankets and the bonfire.  Yippee...and let's not forget our boy toys and marshmallows too!  Happy Mother's Day to all...I'm feeling terrific!  That fire is MAGICAL!

sas - If I knew how to change the topic heading I would.  With that said, this thread is for throwing in all the crap and to make us feel better.  There really are no rules here.

Wreni - Welcome.  Come visit often - throw in all you want.  We don't want the fire to go out.

I'm throwing on all the cheap "pink ribbon" junk that people give us because they think it will show us they care, especially because the stuff is intended more to make money for the manufacturer than to "support the cure".  Things like the window decal and the rubber bracelet.

I am keeping a pink ribbon t-shirt even though I know I will never wear it.  I am certain the friend who gave it to me was being sincerely caring.  For one thing she has been wearing one just like it and not just when she expects to see me.

Ditto Paula...tossing in my fatigue and , although I am grateful for the appointments, I am tossing in my appointment book (with the caveat that I can grab it back at some point when I am not feeling so blessed overwhelmed by cardiology, cardiac information sessins, exercize at the cardiac clinic, a mammogram and  lymphodema clinic appointment...oh yeah..and lunch every once and awhile)....also want to toss in this overwhelming feeling that I am becoming an inconvenience at my work place..no one is making me feel that...I am making myself feel that....but ..still feel it
