That was how I felt with these bras I had fit....I have tried playex before but I was not the right 'shape' for playtex bras that were available....unfortunately. I will however, check them out again...I am sure they have new versions out there. Thanks Chabba!!

did anyone hear about the genie bras??????someone started a thread about them....im tempted to order them but everyone is just talking and no one is trying them.i hate to order without trying them on and im sooo afraid that there wont be enuf support....I really think its the firm support that matters the most.

they send people on the moon and they cant make a bra that fits us AFTER THE RADS. this is some joke....maybe we need someone to make them special just for us!!!!!!!!

granny i saw the ad for genie bra today too...slow Sunday tv? I wasn't very impressed with how the model looked like she was sagging and she couldn't have been a B cup...see that I have lots of cups - there can't possibly be a one size fits all?

What's the skinny on the underwire? just circulation of lymph system or metal or ?

    thanks.

I saw the Genie bra ad on tv too...it was on like 10 times today....not sure what to think as well.  I've been wearing sports bras and Coobie bras since my lumpectomy...got rid of all my underwire bra and am thinking of looking into the  18 hour Platex bras with no underwire.  I know I used to love the support of the under wires, but now, I don't want anything to affect LE or make it worse.

Coobie bras are nice, but not the support I desire, so I wear them under big tshirts or to bed if I feel I need a bra...but, they are comfy...

Weather has been miserably HOT here in Oklahoma...the temperature on my car temp gauge read 110 degrees today!  Yikes!  No end in sight, so I'm finding difficult to get moving around outside...

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend....

Hi Tori I'm in south Texas and sweltering as well.  If it's not indoors, I'm not involved...

gina I am with you it has been way to hot here in South Texas, trying to stay indoors as much as possible.  I think I am finally giving up on my flowers.  I can't seem to keep them watered enough.   I guess being a very small breasted girl does have it's advantages.  The bra thing has not been a problem.  Of couse I stopped wearing it during radiation because my skin was so terrible but as soon as my skin healed I was right back in it.  My scar is at the 10 o'clock position on my left so my bra does not does it.  Have enough other pains glad the bra is not a pain.

sooooooooooo im guessing that the genie bra will not be any good for me either.i knew it was too good to be true.ill stick with the sports bra for now.its giving me lots of support.as far as the underwire goes I really dont know why all my Drs said NO but NO means NO to me.Im just happy i dont have to wear that harness all the time anymore.

the weather in NJ is really nice.I dont even have the AC on...its supposed to get hot in the middle of the week but today its bearable.

to all my sistas who are in the heat please stay indoors.

Ok ladies, my cousin called me last night to tell me about the genie bras!! I believe they are the same you are all talking about...you buy three get three free...beige, black and white.  SHE LOVES THEM..she never wore bra's until her 50's when her girls got huge!!   She is bringing them up here the weekend of 4th of July for me to try...I will let you all know!! She said they are so comfortable and move with you and she doesn't see or feel rolls or back fat!  Bring them on!!

My lumpectomy is also my left side at 11 oclock, so bra's dont interfere with scar, just the seatbelt does!  I've decided to make an appointment with p/t just to make sure no edema/lymp and to have a base eval, also going to have the burning in my right foot looked at just to make sure its not nerve damage.  THEN I AM DONE WITH DOCS TIL THE FALL!!

GOing to the ocen on Wed, have decided that Triple Negative Breast Cancer isn't in control of me, I feel so good and positive right now,,,wanna send all that good energy to everyone.

msjag - Now that is what I'm talking about - NO DOCS TILL FALL and lots of energy.  Sounds like me.  Doing all kinds of projects that got put on hold.  Have a fantastic time at the beach.  You are right  - BC isn't in control.

msjag- Ditto with the seatbelt...and since I am predominantly a leftie, my purse /backack thing caused a lot of pain too...now I have a purse that can be worn on either side (the other was specifically for lefties) and switch it back and forth depending on how Ifeel....and the seatbelt...I swear at it and that makes me feel better oddly enough!

Can't wait to hear how the genie bras feel.Have never heard of them before..not a big tv watcher so have not seen them. keep us posted!

Msjag ~ I'm with you on the triple negative.  I'd like to know about the bra too since I"m two different cup sizes now, two very large cup sizes still, just different! lol.

I am having a lot of tightness at my scar right at the top of my breast towards the chest wall, would that be a nooner? lol.  I think my sermoa is back.

Well I finally decided to see about getting some massage for my swollen breast.  My PS says it is edema.  His nurse really did not think I needed PT but I called a massage therapist that I know to see if she knows anything about lymphatic massages as she used to work in a PT clinic.  She said yes that she did and she also knows alot of scar tissue massaging.  So she said it would be worth a try to see if it helps my swelling go down.  Also since my scar area is hard as a rock she is going to work on that as well.  If we don't go out of town I am going to get with her on Friday, if we go see out son we will get together next week.

update we are going out of town so I called the massage therapist to set a schedule for next week and her 5 o'clock cancelled on her so I can have that spot.  yeah, I hope this helps.  5 months post rads I am ready for my tissue to heal. She said she would probably work on me for 1 1/2 hours today (because I know she will do a mini full body as well).

Last weekend I finally decided to quit watering my flowers they were looking terrible.  I just decided to keep my garden alive.  Now maybe the flowers will perk back up.

I know the feeling.  I was getting tired of watering my plants every other day.  I don't have any grass, just a bunch of weeds.  Maybe everything will start to come back now.

    Sherryc Member Posts: 4,503

granny I can't give you any weight because I also have to gain 10-15 pounds.  So I'll just eat with you.

Went to my massage and boy was she good.  She did a complete body lymphatic massage on me and it took 1 1/2 hours.  She also showed me what to do at home.  The closest PT person I could find that is LE certidied is 1 1/2 hours away.  So I think I'll stick to this girl as she does know what she is doing.

I"m first, GRANNYDUKES!! Take 10, no 20 pounds from me!!!  I wanted to let you know that I did have rads kick up my diverticulitisdigestive tract issues the first week of rads...gastro md had me take prevacid (two, although over the counter says one) for a couple of weeks and I felt great...eating yogurt everyday also helped.  I now can eat foods I never could eat with the diverticulitis, without any issues.  Crazy...who would think yogurt  could really help like that...

Ok Granny, I'm even willing to give you 30 lbs.!!!
