Oh thank goodness, I thought it was only me. At times I can feel my spine in my neck or the bottom part of my right shoulder blade get cold. With my spine, it's like someone has taken an eye dropper of extremely cold water and it runs just the length of my neck, really weird. I never wore jackets until the temp went to 40 degrees, wore short sleeves year round and shorts in the house in the winter. I have nice, natural insulation (if you know what I mean). Now it's fleece-lined, long sleeved flannel shirts and fleece pants. Told my PC this and he looked at me like I was making it all up. At least I'm in good company with you ladies.

    I miss being cold. A lot . I'm about 110F right now

Sheppie! - Yeah, you're back from surgery. I am so glad you're doing well. You've been on my mind for the last 2 days. When do you get to go dancing? :0)

Wren - I love the pic of the kitties ordering yarn. I'll pass for now though. I have enough yarn to keep me busy for the time being. I am working on my 5th crib blanket and have yarn for another 5 or 6.

Susan - I hope you find some fun stuff on the knitpicks site.

Mags - Ouch!!! that even makes me wince. I hope you can get some of that wax that Shep talked about to protect your mouth until you can get to the dentist. Ironically, National Cheeseburger Day is either Sunday or Monday.

I like the frying pan pics too. Cute.

Loverly - Yes, I am wearing the brace. I REALLY want to avoid anyway I can any further dislocations. You know it occurred to me yesterday what the Ortho said. She said "that it is still wait and see", but if I do end up needing any further surgery it would be in January-February. My puppy is supposedly coming in December-January. I can't do surgery AND a puppy! This blasted hip had darn well knock it off.

Jazzy - How was the concert? That was Cyndi Lauper, right?

Sassy - I'd never kick you! It was way too dark in Sheppie's pocket, so you can't be sure who it was.Heart

OMG! I just looked at the clock. It is 2:00 a.m. and I have to be up at 9:00 a.m. to get ready for Church.

Goodnight ladies. Until next time. Hugs & Kisses!

Hi ladies- the Cyndi Lauper show was fantastic! We were too far away to get good pics or videos with our phones to share with you. She did her new music (country featuring classics from Patsy Cline and others) and shared a lot of great stories with us. Total entertainment. Cyndi is 62 and there is a great article on her in the AARP magazine in the past month if you get that. She is teeny tiny and a powerhouse of energy. She did multiple encores and we both loved the concert! Such fun!

Mags- I eat a lot of turkey or black bean burgers with cheese and green chili. One of the staples of my diet!

Hope everyone has a good Sunday!

Shep, I'm so glad you are recovering. I hope the coming days bring you less and less pain each day!

Kath, I'm so sorry about your hubby. It makes me sad that he is treating you that way. My ex was emotionally distant, among other things, and I know how hard that is to live with someone that doesn't treat you well. Big hugs!!

Loverly, You, on the other hand, seem to have a good DH. Despite the fact that he doesn't like to share you with us. :) Loved the frying pan picture! I had just been out shopping last night and bought a frying pan for a gift, then read posts and saw the pic. Hopefully my mom will like the pan and I won't get hit with it!

Mags, I love a good burger..yum! I'm sorry for your mouth pain...sounds horrible. This summer I found that Oxycodone gave me horrible vivid dreams, asked for something different and it was better..ironically hydrocodone was better for me.

Susan, Uggs shoes..huh..I'll have to check hem out! Thanks for the tip.

Forward, Interesting you say hot flashes and exercise make the neuropathy worse. I have not tried acupuncture, but today I'm planning to buy some tennis balls and try rolling my feet on them at night. I'm at a point where I have to try to find something that will help, and I don't want to turn to drugs yet.

Junie, Good job wearing your brace!

    Jazzy, How was the concert?

Hello to everyone else. Big hugs all around!

On the hot/cold topic..I toggle back and forth. Constantly. Ever since chemo last year. I'm cold, then a hot flash hits, then repeat. Just can't regulate.

Well, I've been up for two hours and all I've done is drink coffee, read and post, so I should get my butt moving. First I have to tell you that all the love and support I get here has actually motivated me. In the spring of this year, March - June I was exercising 5-6 days a week and lost 10 lbs. I was striving to be in good shape for my LD flap surgery in June and I felt better when I exercised consistently. Oh course I knew the surgery would set me back, but even after recovering I have been inconsistent and unmotivated. I've been in a funk. But, being able to share here...my pain and my emotions has helped, and now I'm ready to take action. I have a check up with my MO early Oct, and I'm sure he'll suggest a med to help with pain, but I want to try other things in the meantime. I also want to loose 5-10 more lbs to help with my blood pressure, which is borderline high. My plan is to try new shoes and stretching for my feet, overall exercise, and drink more water. Sounds simple, but not always easy for me to put my needs first. I realize now, though, I need to be a little selfish right now. So, off to exercise, shop, clean and catch a movie. I hope everyone has a good day.

Susan3: (teasing, affectionately) First ratting me out about the hair fluffles, now that I could set up my own yarn store? Hmph. I think I'll go check out Webs.....

Wildtulip- are you having problems with your feet from the aromosin? Went through this and still have issues and some ideas to help.

lookforward, acupuncture unfortunately is to expensive . Insurance doesn't pay for it.

Magd, so sorry for the double pain, head and mouth. Hope you get comfort soon.

Lover, came across this pic...I know your girls swim too. image

Jazzy, A quick pop in and saw your offer...I will take any ideas you have! I honestly do not know if it's chemo related neuropathy or Aromasin, or both. The neuropathy never went away before starting the Aromasin, but it does seem a little worse/more constant since starting the AI. I'm confused and plan to bring it up to MO early Oct, but would love to try suggestions in meantime. I also started Zometa IV's in July, which can also cause joint pain...my hands, arm, shoulder hurt, but maybe it's causing foot pain too.

Jazzy, thank you so much for your words here and on JD_GP. Masterful in their warmth, and truth about how things flow. :)

Wren, several of the folks I talked to about the leprosy thing, downplayed the connection and said rabies were more of a concern. But I agree with you about the leprosy concern. Many citations on the internet. Part of why I started calling the Health Department. Just haven't latched onto anyone that has a real handle on their behavior. Thanks for the tidbit about leprosy. Hahahah duplicate post, but same thoughts:)

Junie, Dear son Stephen is getting married on Feb 11th. He's known her since grade school. I've known the family a very long time. They live pretty close. The kids are in Tampa which is about 2hours away. It'll make visiting so much easier............Glad you are feeling better with the belly. PA's and NP's are generally very good about teaching. UGH the brace is a blessing and a trial with the heat. Another duplicate post. I guess I started to far back :)

Bummer lost posts to internet .They always get short after that.

Tulip Hugs, Crying is a good thing. It's bad to hold it in, really.

Loverly, and Kathy. The cold can be related to the thyroid. Have doc test for TSH, Free T#, FreeT4, and MOST important Thyroglobulin and Thyroglobulin antibodies. Thyroid dysfunction before and after BC is common.

Kathy, sorry hubby is a schmuck.

YAY Shep, you sound great!. Yeah, it was chaos in the pocket, but it was all over the cuties. We're all just so esay when cuties are around... The drug was probably Lodine generic. I never get the generic spelled right. But if it isn't I would be interested in knowing what it was?

Mags, UGH mouth pain sucks. I'm on the dentist track too. Scan pocket :)

Just popping in to say hello. I'm behind 4 pages or so. Chance and I have been doing well, just haven't been signing on to the computer much.  Have round 3 coming up on Wednesday.  Round 2 was blessed with very little SE.

Looks like I've missed surgeries, armadillos, new babies, piercings and much more.  Hope everyone is doing well. ;)

Jazzy-I'm so tempted to go see Cyndi this Friday. She's playing at the local casino outdoor theater.  Just not sure how'd I'd be feeling 3 days after chemo.  Might play it by ear, and if feeling good enough, try and see if there is tickets.

    Sleep well all.

Mags - I hope your pain is better. Awww! your fur babies are so cute. What are their names?

Sensi - Glad to see your post and that you and Chance are doing well. I hope your next round of chem is as kind to you as the last.

Queenie - KnitPicks sent me an email today for holiday projects, one being for a beautiful little lacy shawl pattern and of course the yarn too. I resisted though.

Susan & WildT - There is a place in Portland, OR called the "Immune Enhancement Project". They do Acupuncture, Massage and some other modalities on a sliding scale. If you can afford to pay, you do, but if not, they don't charge you. Maybe there is such a place in your areas. I sure hope so. If it wasn't such a trial to take public transportation the 50 miles up there and back, I'd take advantage of the services myself.

WildT - Have any of your doctors offered you Gabapentin or Lyrica for the neuropathy?

Jazzy - So glad you had a great time at the concert. Hope your work week goes well.

Sheppie - How are you doing today?

Sassy - That is cool that your DS is close enough for you to see easily. February 11th is close enough to Valentines Day that surely he won't forget his anniversary. I think I told you once that I have friends who moved to Tampa nearly a year ago. Also, as it turns out, my sisters' mother lives in Sun City, near Tampa. Small world!

As most of you know, I never married and have at different times wondered if I did the right thing. But after reading posts on here and talking to ladies locally that have been married 50 - 68 years I realize that in fact I did make the right decision for myself. Of all the women who have shared with me about their marriages, only one couple is as sweet and loving as I imagine they were in the beginning of their marriage, and they've been married for 68 years. An amazing couple.

Sassy - I also had an opportunity to talk with my sister today. We talked for 2 hours about many things. But, she also told me that a cousin had died a couple months ago of an overdose of heroine w/ fentanyl. She had also said that there is a huge heroine problem in Ohio, then this evening I see an article from the Columbus Dispatch saying that very thing. This cousin started using the heroin after an on the job injury, and once his doctor stopped prescribing the pills, he turned to the heroin. So scary!.

Well, I think I'll call it a night and send goodnight & sweet dreams wishes to you all.

jazzjunebug , yeah I have tried meds..didn't help me. I am actually used to the neuropathy . Only had it real real annoying on xeolda. That's when I wore uggs. I actually couldn't walk at all without them. Felt like I was walking on pieces of glass. Bad pain. Finally started saying to myself, it's only pain...keep walking. Since then, it's been just Wierd feelings, and I drop a lot of stuff. No biggy.

Get to see Elena today....yeah me :)

Morning all, have a blessed day

Sensitive- glad to hear you are laying low and taking care of yourself during chemo. Wishing you the best this week during round #3.

My sister lives out in CA and has a second home in the Palm Springs area. They both love Cyndi and wanted to go see her too, but the tickets are sold out at that nearby casino. You should check to see if you can even get tickets at this point, and if this is not the right time, tell yourself you will get to the next great concert when you are through treatment. I found it hard to plan anything much during that time, although easy things I could opt out of with short notice or little loss of money were usually my choice. Our lives really simplify down during all this. There will be more good concerts for you in the future, I am pretty sure of it!

I have a bit of a cold going on so working from home today and think that will be a good thing.

Feline Hahaha and ugh at the same time. There is a pest company here called terminex. One commercial had roaches on the screen just like that. It was so real we were like jumping up an starting to move for attack, then realized it was part of the commercial. Here if a bug is seen, there is no rest till it's torn apart. Squishing doesn't cut it. Rip those suckers to bit's. I have a company that I pay a very hefty price to do the lawn for pests and fertilize. I have a guy that does the inside&outside of the house and his counterpart does the lawn. If I ever see a bug then they do an extra visit. Spiders are controlled too. Don't like any of the creepy crawly things.

Junie, I'm not really sure if my foot pain is due to neuropathy, Aromasin SE's, or both and if, therefore, would be treated differently. It's just recently gotten worse and I see my MO if a couple of weeks. Jazzy was kind enough to send me PM's with helpful tips, so I'm trying some stretching to start with.

Sas, I'm with you on the creepy crawly things. My DS is the household designated bug killer!

Jazzy, hope you got to rest and heal a little today.

Wildtulip- slowed down today, some work from home and some rest.

Any fans of The Voice out here? This audition was one of the best I have ever seen. What Adam Levine did too just topped it off! Enjoy

Photos of Elena and Evie always put a smile on my face.

Susan, is Claire smiling while swimming butterfly? I need to find a pic of DD2 smiling while doing the breast stroke. When she was much younger, she would remind us not to cheer for her during competition as it would make her laugh and slow her down. Maybe we looked ridiculous doing so?

Hey there Sensi! So glad to hear 2nd was not too bad. I bet it was because Chance has been taken good care of his Momma.

JunieB, sorry to hear about your cousin. So tragic. I have a brother who injured his back when he was working for Fed-ex. Really messed up his spine. He smokes MJ to deal with the pain. He did not know to go through workmans comp :(

Jazzy, I really enjoyed the video. What a talented (and rare taste for nowaday) young men!! Hope you get well soon and this cold does not aggravate your asthma.

ShepK, praying for speedy healing and FF to step up. Wait, isn't your birthday either this month or next month.

WildT, saw this and I was thinking about you since we are around the same age.

Ms. Sas, how was your appointment with Derm? Was it for the burn? Is Donnie still in the dog house?

Patty, how was your weekend with the boys? Hope your migraines are gone.

Just as I expected, DH did not receive the statement very well from DD regarding the nose piercing. I saw the pot about to let out steam. Had to be a mediator and put out the fire. Completely understand both sides, but boy it was a lot of work getting stuck in the middle. So for now no nose piercing.....yet. You are right, Ms. Chevy- this is only the beginning.
