Got myself a UTI, been laying low. Might be selling this house, hope so. Find out tonight if we agree on price, and where to move. And that price. Still in Fl, won't leave.

    Oh yeah, got abx.

Been in this house 30 years, had mostly bad renters for 25. Sick of it. They don't seem to give a damn, this last one, single mom, small kid. Dealing and using drugs. Child welfare investigating her place was absolutely filthy. 2 dogs.

Leasing agent vets applicants, her dad paid the rent, HE checked out fine. She-scum bag.

So we are looking at a double wide Mobil home on its own land, which is really rare around here. About 10 minutes from here.

Hi1 You talked of the house be on the market, Yay for a contract. You didn't talk of where you planned to move, or I missed it. Details. Exciting and sad at the same time. At least you've been decluttering for awhile. :) Yes, went Up Town. This is a milestone year--65 in July. Thinking it's okay to treat myself to some things. Been safe forever. Now going to get a little wild. :) I just am in love with the last glass find. Have one of the glasses here by the computer. Delicate like a newly drying butterfly with the light shimmering :) All the family that I've got into thrifting this year. One point in the teaching is--thrift in rich neighborhoods. What they cast off is amazing.

Most of the staff  comes today--lawn pool, house. Ugh I'll have to get busy in a bit to help DI with the house.

Blondie glad you got out and had some FUN. Hope the burn was to serious. I got you for ride to Walmart. LOL.

Mommie of2. Day yesterday didn't start to good, then you had a great time with Ancestry. YAY. It's a sign :) Maybe a new hobby?

Ibgal, hope the visit goes well and isn't to much for you? Is DH helping?

Jazzy, nice street band. My DH loved the Doors. I love music, but couldn't much hear the chatter about who was who and song names. Except for Motown. Motown was hot when I was in high school and I was in Detroit. The 60's. Lot's of talk so I did get to know all them. Beatles, Jim Croce, Jefferson Airplane and Starship.

Rosie thanks for the story about DD and Nascar. Nice, nice memory.

Spookie, hope all goes well with the selling and buying. Hope UTI clears up quickly.

hey sassy, can you recommend what's good to mix this with so it doesn't taste too bad? I have to take Iohexol 1 hour before I have the scan. I have to drink a quart. Don't know when yet.

    Spookie,

I am in a minor panic right now with the move, and leaving our home that the kids were raised. We built this house, meaning DH drew the plans, and we did a fair amount of the work. But I know it is time to downsize.

So do you live in a duplex? or do you rent out a basement apt. ? The rental market in our town is dismal. There are lots of apts. & rundown old duplexes, but if a home is listed it is grabbed immediately. DH wants to rent ( hate to bore YA all, probably repeating myself ).

Did find a fabulous new home on Sat. Never lived in, really nice. Loved everything about it, except the location. Not horrible, but if it was in one of the other new subdivisions I would be working very hard to convince DH this was it.

Spookie, back to you, would you still be in Dundlin? Close to the water?

Sas, we were posting at the same time.

My last trip to Calif. taught me what a huge difference the neighborhoods would have to offer. We have not officially signed a contract yet, but it will happen in the next day or so. The buyer lives very close, and is a realtor. He wants a bigger home, closer to the LDS temple. Our property taxes are insane. 1/2 acre lot, we do not have a fenced back yard. Our neighbors have 7 boys. Nice family, good kids. I love to be on my patio, 7 boys are noisy. I had 2 kids, they were loud.

Speaking of milestone birthdays, you will be 65, I turn 60 next month.

Yes, I have a duplex. 2 be, 1 bath each side, both have had some upgrades over the years. The Mobil is still in Dunedin, but not the original one we thought about. And not in water view! Dunedin has turned into a "hot" place to be. We have a linear trail that runs 23 miles, just outside the door. Very popular, as is the downtown. image

thanks sassy, I did, tomorrow at 10:20. She said juice was fine. Keeping my fingers crossed. I don't want them to find anything wrong, but at the same time they need to find out why I'm hurting. Hate this stuff

Smarrty, tell'em to take my pic too. Almost a year with 5 or less pain. Now daily7-9 Chit. Always something. Not even doing side along cleaning with DI. Always makes me feel guilty when I don't. I justify the money by thinking it's cut in half when I do side along.

Where are you hurting? Sorry you're hurting.

sassy, stomach, about 3 most times, then will jump up then go almost completely away. Started about 12 days ago and stayed constant. First notice it back at end of February. It would hurt then go away for several weeks. Didn't think too much about it. Oh well, will see what we see.

loveroflife, hi and welcome. I haven't been on in awhile. I didn't have 40 nodes removed, when my cancer recurred, it was in about 40 nodes . I hope it goes away, don't know how lymphadima works. Hubby had back surgery in late February and we are under some construction , so I have been lifting and doing a ton. If that is what caused it maybe it will go away. Go to chemo Wednesday so I will get to talk to doc. So far he said as long as my arm isn't hot and I don't have a fever, no emergency. He is a good guy, I have his cell #. We been together for 14 years, and I have never used it yet, he knows I would never abuse that, but so so cool to know I can get a hold of him if things go south quickly.

HoleinOne, good luck with all your house stuff...gotta be tuff...I am just trying to simplify and get rid of stuff and it's overwhelming.

Patty p...hope you are doing better

    Smaarty, hugs to you

Mom2, hope you are feeling better

    Beautiful quilt !!!

    Hi everyone else

Good luck with the move, after 25 years.that's hard. I can't get over how the housing prices have skyrocketed around the country. What goes down comes up. Spookie I wish you luck with finding something you like. Some of the adult communities around my Mom in Sarasota are really nice duplexes. Lovely landscaping and shared pools, tennis etc. I kind of like being around all ages though. hmm Sometimes it's a pain, kids screaming and endless banging of playing basketball. I have wanted to move for years but there is no place to go to that we can afford and my DH has a good job here. I don't have enough health to justify moving or be able to work 8 hours. So I focus on staying present, gardens, pets, kids- diversions. I wished I lived in a teeny tiny house 600 sq ft in a garden or forest in another state. Next life time. Ever looked at the houses in the tiny house movement? They are pretty cool, ultra compact like they do in Japan. Smarty I hope it's nothing.

Does a word ever get stuck in a bad place for you? Like a nasty trigger of bad memories and resentment. (You know like the word "ducky" for Spookie) I feel that way about the word "sorry."

SORRY - adjective from Old English

Meaning- wretched, deplorable, tragic, regrettable state, apology, sympathy for ones misfortune, "sorry state of affairs," "I am so sorry!"

It just makes my skin crawl, plattitude and drivel.. bull shit. It gets thrown out like "sorry" patches up "everything." There I acknowledged your pain... now go away. More like a splash of battery acid on an open wound. I HATE the word SORRY! That's my vent for today.

Hi Blondie. if you want to see a cool mobile home idea go to Idea Box. They started this ultra green business, leed platinum energy efficient company that makes mobile homes to put on your own land or in a park. They can get regular financing because they are made so well and so tight. It's a great space and the windows are huge and the light fabulous. Lots cheaper then stick built, plus you can buy modular pieces and add on. They have a model in town here. I will warn you they are ultra modern. Maybe they are only on the West Coast.

Rosie! Did you see THAt? On the last page we confronted a threat to our sanity! It was so stupid, we BOTH went after "it"..... Ha! We just knew something was amiss.... So I tattle-taled to the Mods..... On top of it as they ARE.... they removed that threat! Someone was trying to invade us, but we stopped them in our tracks.....

I'm just glad we can keep a watch-full eye on the sneakers-inners that pop up here ...... We rock!

I've read about those tiny homes. They look neat, BUT!!!! Seems they all have a loft for the bed, and a ladder to get there. I'm too creaky, Spookie might fall out.

This very small area is highly unusual in that all the mobile are on their own property, NOT in a park, with lot rents, restrictions. Etc. it's just like buying a site built home, no HOAs either. I won't do a condo, town home type of community.

Don't tell me what color to paint my place, what kind of window treatment I can have. Don't tell me how many dogs, what size and breed I can have. Don't tell me I can't fly an American flag. Don't tell me I have 3 leaves in my yard, and the grass needs cutting.

How can people live in places like that?

    Blondie, come on down!!!!

GOOD Job Chevy, Thought that post was a bit strange. What was it?

It's so clean...... here. Love the post cleaning feel and smell of a house. Not that I had much to do with it. My DI is so wonderful. She makes my life so much better. I hate housecleaning like Rosie hates the word Sorry.

I got rid of one of the spawning beds. At least it made it to the car. Next stop Salvation Army.

Rosie, I heard about tiny houses on talk radio. I'll check them out.

Susan, I saw when you posted about the LE. Good Luck. Yup, the lifting could be the culprit. It's a damned either way scenario.

Smarrty in your pocket tomorrow :)

ok...I have a silly, but very annoying (for me) question. Why does everything ball up inside my fittedsheets when they are in the dryer?????????????

  • Rosevalley
    Rosevalley Posts: 1,664

Susan- Yes why is that???? Happens here too! The worst is when you realize that underware is stuck in your pant leg and heading down to your ankles and you are out in public... oy... AckkkkSinging

Chevy I knew something was funky about that post. SO I clicked on the name and "she" just enrolled that day, no mention of BC treatment or squat. Plus the tag name and insomnia for 10 years and now you want help? ...hmmm.. I thought about being rude and saying something icky like - "nice try..." But often when you first start the BCO you are a teeny bit retarded getting everything straight and in the right place, so I didn't want to be nasty and scare a legit person off. Good for you for asking the Mods to check it. Now you can have a detective badge to add to former pole acrobat! Cami will be jealous... can't wait to hear the banter!

I am sitting here all worried. Every time I clean the canary's cage the poor old boy goes nuts. You would think I was trying to kill him. He flails and gets his feet caught in the bars hangs and looks dead. So I gently picked him up and put him on the floor of the cage. He needs his nails cut but he acts like we are killing him so everyone is afraid to cut them. He's been laying on the floor of the cage now for 1/2 hour! His eyes are open and he's still breathing fast. I hope I didn't scare him to death he's old, probably 10 at least. ugh.. I will feel so bad if I cleaned his cage and scared him to death.Bawling

Spooky! I just noticed 4 leaves on your lawn.... what's up?

Okay, yes, me and Rosie saved us all from doom.... Rosie was ready to go after them with her broom... but I stopped her just in time.... She was going to beat the chit out of who-EVER that was that invaded our little corner here.... We DO get detective badges now.... Cammi is just going to lose out.... It was probably some man.... even..... you just never know...

MY CANARY IS UP AND ON HIS PERCH! I didn't kill him. Medicating I hope that emoticon is a happy dance.. can't tell... gosh my eyes and ears are going.. sucks getting old.

Ah geez Rosie! Can't leave you alone for a minute! Maybe take him to the Vet.... Do they take chickens to the Vet when they get sick....? I don't want to know............. that emoticon is not MOVING.... No, YOU go to the Vet.... get those eyes and ears checked out..... and leave that bird alone....

Susan, We have king size sheets, so they're an entire load by themselves. One day I put the fitted sheet in alone and it still managed to ball up and not get dry. Maybe the fitted corners cause some kind of wind vortex or something?
