It's raining, it's pouring, the snails out touring....ok I can't sing, but I am doing the happy dance because IT IS RAINING here in Sacramento!!! Perfect time to go to my garden, despite the mild headache that comes with the changes in the barometric pressure, to catch those horrid snails that have been destroying my garden. There are so many snails I can make escargot for dinner.

Ms. Chevy, the 96 year old can move. Wow!!Beautiful legs for 96. Showed the video the girls and told them I plan to live that long...got the giggles out of them.

Marlana, you were able to move the lymph fluid from just flexing your pect muscles? You got talent, girl. Amazing! How did you figure that out?

Ms Sass, thank you for the info.. You are always so generous with what you have learned.

Ms. Spookie, little children are like Petri dishes. Hope you feel better soon. Barfing is so much worse than D in my opinion

Spookie, when I quickly read your post, I thought you said they gave you a "fart bag".......I should pay more attention,. or read a little slower, but you have to admit, my thinking was funnier.... sorry about your "fart-bug"....

My friend Sheilah, (Janie's X-MIL) is having an awful time.... I call her every few days.... the Priest is on his way over.... Mel is on his way to be with his God..... She said the "death cycle" or something.... I don't know what that means, but they just gave him more morphine, and that has calmed him down.... He was really agitated.... Now is sleeping most of the time.... Home Hospice is helping her with this, and their 3 Sons....

She said when "this is over" we are going to RED ROBIN, and she is going to order $10 worth of french fry's....

Lover--I was an athletic trainer for 8 years through high school and college so I kind of used my knowledge of anatomy and experience dealing with injury management combined with common sense given that the most of the lymph nodes I'm missing are along the lateral (outer) side of my right pec muscle. The pectoralis major muscle inserts right along the armpit where my seroma had formed so it made sense to flex that muscle to get the remainder of my lymph nodes working to get the fluid out.

We had the rain yesterday. Just enough to make mud puddles in the back yard that my shepinois could pounce into...

Sas -- I don't know that this would work for everyone given that my lymphedema was only present when my seroma was at it's most swollen. When the seroma went down, so did the lymphedema in my arm.

Mel- It is so hard to let go of a loved pet! Spencer was so cute. We will soon travel that path too as our oldest dog Flower is approaching 18.

Jazzy- About a year or two ago my DH got a call at work that someone had put over 900.00 credit card charges on I-tunes! My DH freaked what??? I guess Itunes got hacked and we stopped the transaction and got all our money back. Thank goodness the credit union called or we wouldn't have known. Using a debit card is scary. Credit cards offer more protection. My parents have had their credit cards stollen one person put over 50k in charges back when I was a kid. Credit fraud has been going on for years. It's scary. Hope yours gets fixed soon.

Susan sorry about your arm. Been there. I figure I can't complain, since I just can't tolerate the sleeve, makes my fingers numb, it's hot, itches, and rolls down acts like a tourniquet. So I am non compliant. I just massage the fluid out, put it on pillows and figure it is what it is. It's a PIA (pain in the arm!)

Ohh Spookie- kid barf bugs suck. May you get well soon. Mom2- yay on the avon orderand good news. Smarty- rain in Sacto is very good news. Wren what are you up too? Patty hope your headache is gone and you can salvage your vaction with DH. Hi Blondie. Hi Sass. Been up at the cabin.. nice weather. Cold mornings and just beautiful.

Hi, all - thanks for the condolences about Spencer. It's definitely very strange around here without him.

Loveroflife - sorry about Yoshi. He was a cutie...I must say, Mika looks like she is the boss! She just has that expression on her face. Dixie was the boss here and Spencer just was a laid back sweetie and let her get away with a lot.

Spookie - hope you feel better soon!

Rose - Wow - Flower is almost 18? That is amazing! I was really thinking Spencer would make it to 14...I think I had that age in my head because that is how old my other dog was when he passed. My DH had predicted 12 and he, unfortunately, was correct. Just found out one of my brother's dogs is 16 - I thought that was old, but Flower has her beat!

PattyPepper - I hope you are feeling better! I saw a few pages back you were under the weather.

Chevy - what a story about the shooting - crazy, that's for sure!

Tomorrow is my day off and my "to-do" list has gotten very long. Hope I can get to everything. Why does it always seem like there is too much to do???

    Night, all.

mel, sorry about losing Spencer. Patty, hope you're feeling better. You still have some time before the boys get back. Chevy, why would anyone have a gun in a nursing home?

Yes, it rained most of the day here. Today Cypress arrived earlier than planned. He was suppose to be here on Friday for a scheduled c-section. But he had other plans, her water broke this morning and he came by c-section at 1 pm today. This is my DS with #8 grandchild. I'm babysitting two of her other Gkids today and tomorrow.

Mom2! I KNOW! Maybe they want something.... Ha! It's just nice when they can be polite, and act like you ARE a valuable person... Enjoy the monent....Winking

Jazzy.......... YES! What's a hot flash? I had those once... I'll send him over to my DD's house.... Only she would keep him!

Loverly, those beautiful photo's are so true....... It's like I can sit in my gardens, and just look at all the flowers, and feel peaceful.... like it washes over you........ Thanks for the thoughts!

SMARTY!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! Geez, when I first saw "Cypress" I immediately thought HURRICANE! We've all been having such crazy weather lately! Beautiful little baby boy! He looks perfect!

Mel... Now Theresa said that Old Cecil shot him 4 times! Don't know anything else... Except Cecil is not there... and no news about it in the paper or anywhere... So don't know how he got the gun, or how either one is doing... But Assisted Living is not like a nursing home.... You can go and come as you wish... and have visitors all the time... So SOMEHOW he had that gun.... He SURELY didn't go out and try and BUY one, because there is a waiting time, for them to check you out.... like a few months maybe.... And at HIS age, they would assume, he might not be around to pick UP the gun.. Ha! Some of the residents still have their own cars!

But she heard that the SIL went there to pick him up, to take him somewhere..... It would have been MUCH easier if he would have just said... "No, I don't want to go" instead of SHOOTING the guy! I mean that's rather harsh, I think.

See, when Sassy says bread-crumbs she means go back 4 jillion pages to read the clues, or posts, and you will have an answer......... Following Bread-crumbs are just another way of saying READ THE DANG POSTS BETTER.....!!! Ha! Don't do like Chevy does, and mis-interpret everything she reads!

Cammi, the little run-away, sent me the funniest joke, agout 70 year old people.... (Assuming there is anyone here close to, or THERE.)...

http://beartales.me/2013/07/19/sex-and-good-grammar/ And I thought it was funny......!

Jazzy, nice fireman. sweet to look at.............

Jwooooohooo did you never come back from see the Rolling Stones. Did you become a pebble?

Marley, glad you contacted Binney. It will be interesting  to hear what she has to say. Would be interesting to know too, if your technique worked for truncal edema. Science medicine is always evolving and it's not always right. For example, you know how post mx/bmx we are instructed not to raise our arms. I could not find anything per-op that supported it except for a reference that it helped to prevent the drains from dislodging. 6am the day after surgery I started full range of motion. Nothing aggressive, but my arms were straight up at 12 o'clock position and back as far as I could go probably about 8'oclock position. Never had any shoulder mobility problems. I did get a seroma on the left, but that was b/c the drain had to come out to early. Entry site was iffy for infection.

Sorry, about suggesting about Whippetmom without describing why.  She's the guru on Sizing 101. She is more knowledgeable about implants than most docs in the country. I even suggested to her to contact Emory University in Atlanta to start a certification program for nurses that then would work with PS's. Emory has a certification program for nurses for wound care, ostomies, and incontinence. It would be an excellent way for her work to carry on. She has so many that seek her counsel about implants. She then hears about their sx's. Your technique would be a tool for her to refer to the LE thread to try.

It'd be nice if a teaching hospital would pick up on it and do a study.

I'll C&P your posts to her.

Marley, I sent it to Deborah and I posted it on the wound thread that I use allot. Check it out  and let me know if I put it together okay. Thanks

Oh Chevy, what do I say, I love you. ...............That's amazing they kept it out of the press about the shooting. When I googled it the other day, you wouldn't believe how many similar stories came up. Denver and nationally. Scarey. What's the name of the assisted living?

Loverly, nice pics. Would be nice for W&F's too.

Patty, things any better? They're was a story in the news about Essex, England today----had a giggle :)

Smarrty, is that you holding your GS? Your hair is beautiful. All the different shades of blonde. Gorgeous.

Loveroflife - Did a little cleaning, but also had errands to do...haircut for me and DD2, store, etc. Also did some work from home. I will have to work a little extra tomorrow still to get all my hours in for this pay period. Loved the nature pictures - just beautiful!

Chevy - I agree...Cecil should have just said he didn't want to go - problem solved, no shooting necessary!!

    Jazz - now that's a good picture!!

Mommy - glad to hear your in laws were nice!! Bet the flowers look great! I did some planting a few weeks ago and have been really happy with how well they are doing.

Smaarty - congrats on the cutie pie!

A year ago today I had my biopsies and a year ago tomorrow I got my diagnosis. Hard to believe it has been that long already. I feel like I've made a lot of improvement in my eating habits, although there is definitely room for more improvement! Just can't get into the swing of the whole exercise thing. Keep saying I'm going to do it...will start and stop. Not sure if/when I will ever get into that routine. Maybe that will have to be my goal for year two!

Howdy Everyone catching up again. Only 3 pages behind now. Tired of stuff carping out here. #1 was my old goat, #2 was DH's tooth, #3 is garbage disposal. DH had his root canal done yesterday. I went just so I could go to "town" but secretly just in case he didn't feel up to driving. Disposal bought and awaiting call from Dr. Plumber (Lowe's contract plumber) to call for installation. Was hoping to get it done on Tuesday when DH is off and I'm off yippee (not) to my annual gyn appointment. Doesn't look likely. No idea what DH's days off will be but he is changing jobs at his workplace. He's worked 12p-9p for several years, this will be 8a-5p. Different world, back to 2005 when Radio Shack laid him off. DD was still in HS. I don't do early mornings well. Very much a night owl.

Mel - so sorry to hear about your furbaby. God gave us a marvelous capacity for love but love still hurts.

Not sure what is up with my furbaby. She was better for several days but upchucked this morning. Kept her light on food and only water in small bits. Better this evening.

We had the fraud alert from Discover. DH cancelled a gas fillup then promptly re-entered card and filled up. Triggered alert. I had repeated like 4 or 5 calls from a Mexico international # the other night on my cell until I finally turned it off. I've had this # probably 9-10 years. No way would I answer it. I've also had some from I forget some Caribbean nation on the house phone. I know there are all kinds of reverse lookups but I use this one. People can post on it if lots of spam activity noted.

    http://www.whitepages.com/reverse_phone

Patty - hope you are feeling better. When do the boys come home?

FrenchFrey - (((hugs))). Just glad to see you checked in.

Smaarty - congrats on the new baby.

Posting this so I can get off and go to bed. Would like to catch local news channel I like if that darned basketball game will ever go off.
