Hello all. Got home from hospital at 11 pm. I STILL HAVE MY TE! YAY! PS found a lymph vessel with a hole which is what he thinks created the humongous drainage 3 weeks after the TE placement. He stitched it and There you go. Feel pretty good, still taking pain pills, but feel real good otherwise. PS, got a new drain. LOL

moon - yay!  Hope this solves the problem.

lesley - sorry to hear about your infection and hope the Vancomycin will do the trick - a lot of ladies on this thread have been on it and it seems to work well. I did not have any issues with Alloderm, but hopefully if anyone else did they will chime in soon.

Leslie, I always have pain from the alloderm when its first placed. Feels like a broken rib for a week or two, get twinges for a good month after. But my pain does go away. Sorry you are having problems.

Well ladies my PS said no worries on the pop I felt on Tuesday, his thoughts are that it was scar tissue that released causing the pop and I was able to get another 50cc, so I am now up to 500 with 50 more to go, unless he decides to overfill then possibly a total of 3 more.

Moonflwr: YAY! I sure hope this fixes the drainage issue! You are a trooper!

Cateyz2: This is also good to hear!

Lesley: How are you feeling? Is infection abating?

Cleodora: You have been through the ringer! Many of us have experienced unexplained rashes. I think our bodies develop sensitivities. I know many, many women who have experienced that, myself included. I'm sorry recon was such a tough road for you. Others have had fat grafting only; maybe someone will chime in.

Michele2013 and Lucky777: Let us know how your exchanges went!

Mamasix: Def. sounds like you need to see an LE specialist. Please keep us posted.

Goldie: What is the latest on your swelling?

Momof3infla, Psalms, DM13: How are you all doing?

Hotpinkmess: Did Cipro work on your pseudomonas? Are you still scheduled for LAT flap on the 10th?

Big hello to everyone else, hard to touch base with y'all individually, but I try. Innocent

Thank You For Your Responses. Had To Switch To Zosyn Because Vancomycin Levels Too High. The Dark Red Is Lightening, And My Fever Is Gone. Probably Because I Am Taking 2 Percocet Every 4 Hours And Morphine Regularly For Pain. Cat Scan Showed A Lot Of Fluid In The Chest. White Blood Count Went down. I Hope To Meet With Infectious Disease Doctor So She Can Have Me Do Iv Antibiotic At Home. I Don't Want To Lose Progress Or Tissue Expanders. The Resident Said If The Fluid Samples Are Infected,We May Have To Take Tissue Expanders Out. Hope ResultS Come Today. Praying For All Of My BC Sisters To Have And Stay In Good Health. xoxo

Lesley, so sorry its a tough road for you. I hope the abx work. But if you lose a TE its not the end of the road. Um, look at my signature.... LOL. Doing abx at home is Doable. I did it twice for weeks each time, so I know you will get through.

Rennassus, I just want to thank you for all you do. No one expects personal notes all the time, we are grateful you take your time and energy to keep this up. I know I truly NEEDED this thread to keep my sanity. LOL Much love to all!

My exchange went well, however I was wondering if anyone has experienced pain in the incision. It feels like a burning and pulling sensation. Just on the radiated side. Hurts so bad. Everything looks good with the incision though.

    Thank you ladies!

Michelle-Great news your exchange went well.  Hope you are not in too much pain for too long.  I am looking so forward to my surgery, but the anxiety keeps building.  Really want these TEs out but not looking forward to the pain again post op.  Wishing you the best.

Renenassus-thanks, see my PS on Monday will get more information on what he thinks of the underarm boob swelling and a referral to LE therapist.  This is really getting more and more uncomfortable by the end of the day at work.

Lesley-Hope the antibiotics save the TEs.  Can't imagine getting through so much and then having to loose the TEs!  Hang in there thinking about you.

Cateyz2-So glad to hear it wasn't anything serious.  So much to worry about with all this.  Hope your fills finish soon then on the road to exchange!

Moon-I agree bc.org is the best, I would have gone crazy without it!  All these threads have kept me going and knowing sooo many are right here with me!  Thanks for all you wonderful strong women who support all these threads!

    Hi all,

I have been quiet for a few days. Been in a lot of pain. I was supposed to have a fill today, and cancelled it.  The duct tape feeling is more than a feeling now, it is visable across my right expander. It actually has an indentation cross the whole foob starting at the clevage and all the way across.  So?  Doc? What is it?  It's very uncomfortable.  I need more answers. It is above my scar, so it's not scar tissue.  I think it's wear the alloderm was sewn to my pec muscle.

Hugs, Goldie. I hope your PS figures it out. Almost sounds as if the TE folded. Much love.

Moon, the PA looked at the expander that was bothering me and said it was fine, just I was getting close to full expansion, and I was getting more uncomfortable.  I don't know.  I am asking to see my PS next week.
Thanks for being so sweet.  I appreciate your concern.

Oh this is good news, Moonflwr! YAY! I have no idea what a hole in a lymph vessel is, but I'm glad they found yours and stitched it up! Enjoy that shower. Nothing like a hot naked shower after the drains are removed! Cool

Just FYI, lymph vessel is like a blood vessel but carries lymph fluid not blood. Hence the almost clear liquid flowing at 100 cc. If it were that much blood theyd be really worried. LOL.

Of course you know nothing goes completely smooth for me. Got a call from surgeon this morning. Fluid they cultured was clear for four days. But yesterday showed bacteria growth. Infectious disease doc will call me because it was an "unusually rare" type. ARRGGHHHAAAGGGRRRGGHHHJ!!#####

I guess the good news is no fever yet. And everything still the same. I am, of course , suffering from my usual reaction to abx, yep, big D. Gee I must be bipolar, yesterday I was so up. Today, um, no. LOL

    Moon, when you know what kind of infection you have, please let us know. So many women read this thread and learn so much from those of us with the misfortune to "experience" these ridiculous complications. Hang in there. Hope your doc gets you on the right bug killer. {{{hugs}}}

Hello Fellow BC Sisters! Thanks So Much For Your Continued Concern And Support. moon...So Sorry You Are Dealing With Infection And The Dreaded Side Effects Of Treatment. I Narrowly Escaped My 4Th Surgery Since June. The Vanco Began Working. I Was Sent Home On Iv Vanco And Another Iv Antibiotic Called Ertapanem For 4 Weeks. Infusions Take 5 Hours Per Day And The Oral Thrush Is Just Beginning. My Diep Is Scheduled For 11/22 And My PS Is Considering Doing It Sooner. I Am Literally Scared To Death Of Everything Now. I Am WeaK, Tired And Slipping Into A Bit Of Depression. I Am Sorry That I Haven't Addressed Each Of You Personally, But Every But Of Strength I Have Comes From Reading Your Posts. NOBODY Understands Like You Do. I Hope Someday To Be A Veteran On Here To Provide Hope And Understanding To Newbies, Especially Ones Who Face Multiple Bumps In The Road. Moon, so sorry. Hoping the right antibiotic will do the trick.

I'm headed to the PS tomorrow. A new red spot and pain have developed AGAIN on the side where TE was removed. Always a delay.

jnprsn-You and moon need a gallon of the hand sanitizer! Cheers to both of you! Seriously, hope your PS gives you some stronger antibiotics as well and take care of these infections.

Moon-You are amazing, good sense of humor through all of this.  An inspiration to us all! Gives me strenghth to make it through all of this.  I complain about 3 surgeries in the year, can't compare to all of yours.  Still nervous as the date approaches, yet looking so forward to getting rid of these cocunut shells, (TEs)!
