    Hi Nwest,

I had good luck with Lands End too and, if it doesn't fit right, you can return the items to a Sears store near you which makes it super convenient. I find the Lands End suits really high quality with substantial fabric and good design. Mine are so well constructed that I don't even wear a foob with them! I just look like an A cup. Normally I'm a B.

I agree on quality of Lands End swim suits. Very good and easily returnable at Sears store near you. They are having a "Friends and Family" sale of 30% off right now if any of you are interested. Here is the promo code for my BC.O friends:

    Promo code: FAMILY30

    PIN: 1511

Happy shopping. I just bought a beautiful suit from them.

Wore Valetta cami with fiberfill poofs in it under a top instead of a bra this weekend. Perfect for cold weather. Comfortable all day long. yay. I think I'm sticking with camis when I want to wear the girls

Has anybody tried the Amoena Rita bra ?

Deblc, I think I tried one of these early on and found that the cups felt too close together and I had some spillage under the arm. I am a D cup and find that there are a few Amoena bras that have a similar cut to this one which I believe would be better suited to a smaller cup size.

Chloesmom, glad you found the Valletta works for you too. Of all the different types of camisole I have tried, I always go back to the Valletta. They are versatile too, I wear them under tops, or with a cardigan or a jacket, even with a pair of swimsuit bottoms or a sarong skirt in the Summer.

Just picked up my new foobs. Amoena 2S essential light size 4. Want to get microbead forms for working out. The fitter said she has to order them in and suggested we get the equivalent of a 3 as I don't want them quite so full

The place is so far away and insurance is pitiful so I'm looking on metromedical site at Trulife forms. Any feedback on the aqua waves and how they fit and what size I might need to go with my amoena performance bra to work out?

    Hi Chloesmom,

Yes, I love the Valetta for a winter undergarment. Who knew! I've been wearing it everyday in our freezing cold weather along with a turtleneck or a thermal top and a fleece on over all. I do wear my foobs with a bra on the days I go to work because I can wear anything I want without any thought. I wish Metromedical would put some new colors on the "blowout sale." I just bought the fushia Valetta at full price (for summer) but I would love to have them add a couple of colors to their sale page. There are only size 18 and 20 left! Come on Metromedical!\Best,

    Hi Ladies,

Just to let you know...I found a nice cotton type tank top at a web store called TLCdirect.com, They are nice pocketed tanks with a cotton feel for summer. They are not as fabulous as the Valettas but I like the fabric because the Valetta can be a little hot in the heat of summer. Plus, the Valettas are so nice, fabric and fit and all, I hate to wear them for hanging around the house or working outside in the garden. The cotton type tank is on sale now so I bought a few of them. I do think that they are a little short at the waist after washing but perfectly fine if you are average or petite. The Valettas are a little longer after washing so you can tuck them in and you have a lot of options with outfits. I got the cotton tanks to wear as "knockaround" clothes. I think they will work out well. Last summer, I had just had my implants out and I didn't have any "pocketed" clothing. It was hard to buy this stuff with the demand during the summer and get the size and style I wanted. I'm starting early! I hope this helps some of you newbies!

Hi Chloesmom, I have the Tru Life Active Flow microbead swim form and I also have the Amoena Aqua Wave clear silicone form. I like them both for swimming, but for me, I think prefer the Tru LIfe microbead, it's good for leisure too, where I wouldn't use the Aquawave for anything other than swimming. I am a size 8 in all the Amoena forms that I have, but I think the Aquawave could have been a size smaller for me. In the Tru Life range, I go to a size 9, bearing in mind, that I am a Uni and have to match my remaining side. Being flat, you can decide what size you prefer to be.

Bettyboops, I always look forward to the metromedicalonline sales too! I hope there is another one soon!

Ariom and Bettyboops: do the camisoles work for uni-boobers? Is there any padding at all in the bra part? I am an A cup, so like to have a little padding on the breast side and the foob on the flat side. It is still so hard to get it right, and not be lopsided

Ariom is that the Tru Life active flow that comes in the pink bag that you get a size bigger? Thanks so much!

Debic the camis have tops like a bathing suit with soft padding but it isn't structured and stiff. I put a Genie bra modesty shield in mine before I got my foobs to fill it out when I wore it with the fiberfill poofs post op. I'm an A too.

Chloesmom, yes, I go up a size in the Tru Life Active Flow, (micro beads) which comes in a drawstring bag. I also buy the size 9 in the Tru Life 611 which is the weighted foam form, I really like.

As Chloesmom suggests, there are ways to "pad up" the Valletta with the modesty shields from a Genie bra. I am a Uni, but I have a "D" on the remaining side, so all I need is my 1 trusty breast form! You could also look at a pair of adjustable forms, which have the fiber fill that you can add to and subtract from, to get the custom size you need. There is also the pattern on mastectomysolutions.org for you to make your own micro bead forms, you could make 2 different sizes. Mary, who started that website is a great lady and is very helpful if you contact her with questions.

thanks Ariom, I did order from Mary a long time ago but I still have not figured out how to manage this whole bra thing. I have just been putting the one foob I bought on the flat side. I just didn't care how I looked, it just takes too much effort. But now that I am looking and feeling more "back to normal" (hair is back, treatment finally finished) , I am trying out more options

    Ariom and others!

I was checking the Tru Life sizing chart which runs different than Amoena. They fitted me with a 2s size 4 silicone. Which fits nicely into my amoena AA cup and Tru Life A cup.

Here's the confusion. Want to get the 611s and the microbeads from Trulife. I wouldn't want it any bigger and the fitter said people often go down one size in the microbeads. The Trulife chart says I need a 6 in the 611 and if I go down an size in the microbeads that's a 5. This sounds so big! Any suggestions? Can always send them back but do t want to if anyone can tell me what worked for them in a similar comparison thanks!

My experience:  the chart said I needed a 7. My silicon one is a 5.  I should have ordered the 5. The 7 was too big, and I exchanged it for a 6,, but really could have used a 5.   I would order a 4,, and if too small, then send it back for a 5.  Just my opinion.

Chloesmom, I would call Metromedical and talk to the customer service staff there. I have heard so many great reports about how helpful the staff are. One thing that happened with me with the Tru Life microbead was the store sent me a size that was too small and all that it did, was pool all the beads at the bottom of the cover, when I got the right size, it works perfectly in the D cup pockets, of my camisoles and swimsuits.

Posting at the same time Glennie, I agree, the 611 chart, errs on the large side. I think it is probably to allow for the softening down of the foam after a while, but I think they are just too large. I have a pair of 10's, that I bought as per the chart for my size, that I have never used.

Glennie, the 611 Tru Life is the weighted, foam form and the Tru Life Active Flo, is the microbead, swim form and the Amoena Aqua Wave is the clear silicone Swim form. I am pretty sure the Tru Life size chart is the same for both these forms and run large.Geesh, there are so many to remember! LOL

ok, I had the 611 weighted foam foob.  Sorry for the confusion!!  I gave that one away as I was never using it.  I live in compression now, but I kept my silicon foob in case I ever want to wear it,, and my foam one. I figure 2 is enough since I never wear them anymore!

Chloesmom, what size band are you in the bra? I just went to look at the sizing chart for Tru Life and although the size 5 form is suggested for about a 36' band, there are 3 and 4's suggested for AA A B in 30, 32 and I think 34's. that is a fairly wide differential. As I mentioned earlier, there is a lot of positive feedback from others here bout the great customer service at metromedical so it may be worth talking to them. I just remembered the 611 ships for free, too.

Yes I had great help from metromedical when trying to figure out sizing for tops. Just wanted to avoid returns if someone had experience here Just this chart stuff got me confused. Am either a 36 A or 38AA depending on the bra. The chart says I need size 6 for both and I have a 4 2s in Amoena.

What I was wondering most about is do the 611 weighted foam foobs and the microbead really size up the same? Trulife says to refer to the 611 chart to size the latter and the fitter told me people often want smaller in the microbead as they might feel too full

Hmmm, I reckon the micro bead is slightly smaller than the weighted foam. In my opinion, the foam is fuller, but there is more drape in the micro bead form.
